“The album is intended to take the listener on a journey from utter destruction and despair to a place where there is a new consciousness and reality that will break this unending cycle. The music is intended to provide a wide range of dynamics and atmospheres to elicit an understanding and a vibe for where the listener is within the narrative.  The music aims to juxtapose intense sonic blasting with lush and serene atmospheres” – Day of Departure

“I found this album to be exactly how it was advertised. Several styles are reflected here, with about as many different emotions as the human being can go through. It’s very personal journey, with thoughtful ponderings around every turn. Let yourself get swept away into their world, full of dark visions and figures, but with just enough light that you will go forward and not turn back. Embrace your future, for it is the only one you have. 9/10” – Metal Temple

“Welcome to the world of Matt Kozar and Day of Departure. Buckle up, as he takes you on an eventful journey of wonder and fascination, with his expansive, ambitious new album.” – V13

“Led by guitarist Matt Kozar (Brave) and singer Michelle Schrotz, Day Of Departure is an expansive, almost cinematic experience, with songs ranging from rockers (“Pierce the Sky (Conflict)”) to ambient tracks (“The Future Has No Form”). Schrotz’s voice adds an ethereal quality to some of the songs.. Overall this is a very interesting debut, fun to listen to, and a great first step for Day Of Departure.” – Heavy Music Headquarters

“A beautiful opus” – Rock n Force

“Undoubtedly a complex album full of quality in all aspects, highly recommended.” – Dark Metal Divas

“It’s very seldom that I am speechless and Day of Departure absolutely took my breath away. The music of Day of Departure can only be described as tragically beautiful. It encapsulates a vast plane of musical influences from Italian metal icons Lacuna Coil to the lush, dark melody of Norwegian black metal legends Darkthrone. Day of Departure delivers an apocalyptic message to the world that the world we take for granted may be closer to its end than we know and that we humans may be living on borrowed time. Day of Departure presents humanity with a powerful testimony to our mortality as human beings. It is a message that not everyone can deliver or even swallow, but Day of Departure is sharing a message with us all that is more than worthy of a listen.”  – Southeast of Heaven

“In the end, it is not in the destination but, in the journey and self-discovery. Not only does this album tell a visually stunning story, it opens our minds to our own questions and discoveries, allowing us to explore what we may simply come to ignore as we stagnate our growth and opportunities to thrive. Musically complex, Days of Departure have truly created an album that not only visually stuns, but takes songwriting, and musical prowess to new, unimaginable heights.” – Metal Goddesses

“What an ingenious idea it is, to set up a group of musicians, seemingly trading as cooperative. With the unique idea of having the flexibility to morph into different bands under the dictates of alternate musicians who have developed their own separate projects. In this case, it is ‘Brave, guitarist ‘Matt Kozar who has put together a fascinating suite of atmospheric well-considered ambient progressive music.” – House of Prog

“if you just want to chill out with the fireplace and a glass of red wine in hand, then ‘Day Of Departure’ is a great soundtrack.” – Arrow Lords of Metal

“Modulating between more abrasive, noisy verses and extended, echoing guitar breaks, Day of Departure, part of the BraveMusic collective, seem to have located their sound somewhere between the intricate art rock of Tool and the straightforward energy of Lacuna Coil.” – Alchemical Records

“DC progressive metal veterans Brave have announced another project to be released under the “Bravemusic” umbrella.  The project is called Day of Departure and this marks the 2nd break-off project, the first being guitarist Scott Loose’s Stellar Death project.  Day of Departure is the brainchild of Brave guitarist Matt Kozar and the first single release, “And We Prepare For Our End” features Brave vocalist/keyboardist Michelle Schrotz along with other fellow Brave members drummer Trevor Schrotz, bassist Ben Kelly, and guitarist Scott Loose. “And We Prepare For Our End” is a departure (pun intended) from the sound of Brave which is a cool thing to hear.  While the song maintains a progressive feel to it, I also hear a song that is infused with elements of goth, tribal rhythms, and even a bit of early “Comalies” era Lacuna Coil influence.” –  Southeast of Heaven

BAND STORY ANGLES / FUN FACTS:
1. Day of Departure is heavily influenced by a number of different sci-fi stories and comics. Matt Kozar is an avid reader of all comics and looks forward to listeners funding subtle nods to comics throughout the lyrics.

2. The members of Day of Departure produced and recorded the album over the last 2 years completely remotely.  We hope to gather and rehearse these songs sometime in 2022, but have never played these songs as a group, which is a first for all of the projects that we collaborated on.

Day of Departure combines elements of post-rock, ambient, progressive rock, and hard rock to arrive at a unique sonic landscape that seeks to balance the varied influences and inspirations from its creators.

Born out of a desire to explore a different musical style that merges their influences with a well-woven narrative, Washington D.C.’s Day of Departure created a story that begins with the destruction of our planet, and then the need to evolve and find a new path forward for survival. They are heavily influenced by a number of different sci-fi stories and comics that echo throughout their music.

Their debut self-titled album is set to be released on March 25, 2022. It was produced and recorded entirely remotely over two years with none of the members working together in person. They currently do not have any plans to play live at the moment, but are looking forward to thinking about how to bring to life the music and vibe that was created on the record.

While writing their debut, several songs didn’t make the cut, yet Day of Departure are already thinking about the next chapter to explore, with some of those songs/ideas being the inspiration or perhaps even the focus of forthcoming music.

Fall Of Stasis has been making its name known in the Montreal metal scene since they first stepped on a stage in 2017. A formidable blend of symphonics, black metal, prog and even a bit of folk, the band weaves an eclectic tapestry that will entice a wide variety of listeners.

The single “Baal Arise” describes a demon’s awakening and his wish to enslave humanity. This is a short, fast-paced, “in-your-face” type of song that starts off with a brutal death metal riff followed by an epic chorus. The band explains in further detail:

“This song was almost entirely written by Tristan, although it’s been fine-tuned and improved thanks to the band’s creative input. This song is short and very aggressive, and for that reason, we feel like it is very effective in grabbing the attention of our target audience. It was inspired by old-school metal songs that usually delve into satanic themes. We also felt like the storytelling was interesting and well-suited for a lyric video.”

It is apparent throughout the 50-minute album that a lot of effort was put into it, each song that was included was carefully picked to pique the listener’s interest and showcase the band‘s songwriting abilities. Overall, it is a melting pot of each band member’s musical tastes and influences, which makes for a pretty varied repertoire, ranging from smooth and melancholic ballads to aggressive and fast metal riffs. This gives them somewhat of an “apocalyptic” sound, something that is also reflected in most of the lyrics.

Metalheads looking for something brutal, eclectic, and original especially those with an interest in Fleshgod Apocalypse, The Black Dahlia Murder and Unexpect will likely enjoy Fall of Stasis.

“Baal Arise” can be watched and heard via its premiere on NoCleanSinging HERE.

About:
Fall Of Stasis, based in Montreal, Canada, was originally formed in 2014 with the intention of creating original music that couldn’t be defined by a specific genre. They started off with a very eclectic and progressive style, and as time went on, it was toned down in favour of musical cohesion and they added symphonic arrangements.

In 2017, the band released their demo and will be following it up in 2022 with the full-length “The Chronophagist”, which maneuvers closer to black metal but with definitive prog-heavy stylings. Working together on everything, there isn’t a single song where the creative input from a band member has not been blended into the mix. Fall of Stasis firmly believes that creative collaboration is one of their main strengths.

The current lineup of Fall of Stasis consists of Jessica Dupré (vocals), Gabriel Bernier (lead guitar/backing vocals), Tristan Bergeron-Boucher (rhythm guitar), Mathieu Groulx (bass), Sergei Lecours (drums) and Mélissa Bissonnette (keyboard). Each of the musicians brings a wide array of influences which results in a distinct sound, which caters to folk, black, progressive and death metal fans alike, but also to the uninitiated, thanks to their original and catchy melodies.

Symphonic yet brutal and often unpredictable, they present a mix of very powerful growls and clean vocals, along with good stage presence, efficient crowd work and tight musicianship. They have had the pleasure of sharing the stage with many notable local and international bands such as The Agonist, Wolfheart and Beyond Creation.

Canadian thrashers HYPERIA, formerly of Calgary, AB, now residing in Vancouver, BC will be self-releasing their new album “Silhouettes of Horror” this coming March 2022. The full-length follows their 2020’s “Insanitorium” unleashed via Sliptrick Records and their 2019 EP “Fish Creek Frenzy”.

Today, in preview to the record, Hyperia is sharing their second single “Experiment 77”, a song about a government experiment that actually happened in Kentucky in 1954 where a prison doctor isolated inmates and fed them “double, triple and quadruple” doses of LSD for 77 days straight. Musically, the track starts with a single guitar riff that soon erupts into a heavy double kick run. The song has a lengthy C-Section with harmonized guitar solos, neo-classical melodies as well as 2 bass solos.

Listen to “Experiment 77” at https://youtu.be/d52c9_KL9AY

Hyperia‘s forthcoming second album “Silhouettes of Horror” sees guitarist Colin Ryley behind the soundboard producing and mixing the record with mastering done by Mika Jussila at Finnvox Studios in Helsinki, Finland (Children of Bodom, Nightwish, Battle Beast). Album artwork was created by Andrei Bouzikov (Vektor, Municipal Waste, Skeletonwitch, Toxic Holocaust).

“We think that we have polished our sound and pushed ourselves to create what we believe is a newly refined vision. This record has pushed the whole band to their limits, and the songwriting, performance, and production value is a huge step up. We feel the fans will enjoy this new album even more than our first full-length,” adds Collin Ryley.

Energetic, melodic, fast, psychotic, and dynamic are the elements that make “Silhouettes of Horror” that old and new fans of thrash, NWOBHM, and power metal will appreciate. The band even included a cover hommage of Abba’s “Gimme Gimme Gimme”. For the recording of “Silhouettes of Horror”, Hyperia also recruited good friend and session drummer Gord Alexander (Tessitura, Tides of Kharon, Immunize).

Most of the lyrical themes on “Silhouettes of Horror” revolve around inhumane government experiments, sleep disorders, and night terrors.

“Silhouettes of Horror” is due out on March 18, 2022 and is recommended for fans of Exmortus, Arch Enemy, Unleash the Archers, Havok.

About:
HYPERIA (originally from Calgary, AB now based in Vancouver, BC) is a Melodic Thrash Metal band known for their wailing vocals, shredding guitars, and fast, heavy music. Formed by Colin and Marlee Ryley in September 2018, they found 3 members from the local metal community and hit the ground running. Since the release of their debut EP “FISH CREEK FRENZY” in 2019, HYPERIA has been thrashing venues and taking the Western Canadian metal community by storm.

In April 2019, HYPERIA announced their signing SLIPTRICK RECORDS, who released their debut full-length album “INSANITORIUM” in January 2020. The band celebrated their release to a 300 person sold-out show in their hometown of Calgary, Canada.

Later that year, the band announced the departure of their previous drummer Jordan Maguire, while at the same time revealing the commencement of their second record “SILHOUETTES OF HORROR” with session drummer Gord Alexander (Tessitura, Tides of Kharon, Immunize). The album was completed in June 2021 and is due out in March 2022.

=====

“If you prefer your metal loud, dark and just a touch campy (and who doesn’t?), then Calgary-turned-Vancouver rockers Hyperia are planning to deliver with Silhouettes of Horror, the follow-up to 2020’s equally furious and equally fun Insanitorium. First single “Operation Midnight” is an unrelenting barrage of riffage held down by Marlee Ryley’s throat-blistering vocals.” – Exclaim!

Insanitorium – #18 on Top 20 – February 2020 – Canadian College Radio Loud Charts (source: Earshot)

“Insanitorium will get the blood flow going and cause massive pit eruption when Hyperia tear up the stage and that’s what the best thrash of any kind should achieve. Keeping their eyes on the prize with creative flourishes in a brief two-year window since forming, the future looks very bright for these Canadians as more people flock to the band’s addictive, pounding style” – DEAD RHETORIC

“Unhinged and unconfinable, Hyperia may throw a lot and we mean a lot of ideas at the wall in the hope that they stick but in the end, it’s their scattershot approach and fearless demeanor which makes them so damn appealing!” – WORSHIP METAL’S 2020 “10 THRASH METAL ALBUMS YOU HAD TO HEAR IN JANUARY”

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – February 1, 2022

Rockshots Records Signs Theigns & Thralls For Self-Titled Debut Album ft. Guests From Korpiklaani, Ensiferum And More!

Rockshots Records is proud to announce their latest signing of Theigns & Thralls for the release of their self-titled debut album due out April 8, 2022.

Theigns & Thralls is the brainchild of Skyclad vocalist and songwriter Kevin Ridley. Originally, it was intended to be an ‘occasional band’ to perform songs from Ridley’s back catalogue of songs from Skyclad and his solo album while working around Skyclad’s touring plans. However, when the 2020 global pandemic struck, his plans changed. Being stuck in lockdown, the project became a collaborative recording project building on a few demo ideas. At first, musician friends were contacted to add a bit of violin here and a whistle there. But then things gathered momentum and friends of friends were also asked and players across Europe joined to contribute. The response was, to say the least, overwhelmingly positive and, in the end, twenty-five musicians from bands such as Korpiklaani, Ensiferum, Cruachan, Waylander, Celtibeerian and Metal De Facto as well as solo musicians (new and old acquaintances of Ridley) contributed everything from drums, bass, guitar, violin, whistles, bagpipes to hurdy gurdy and vocals.

“I think that, because of lot of the album was written and recorded in a fairly short space of time, there is certain feel and continuity to it. There is a blend of Celtic Speed-Punk, Folk-Metal and Classic Rock influences. Added to that, in terms of lyrical content, there is a strong appreciation of history, literature and humanism that comes together.” adds Ridley.

The name Theigns & Thralls (which basically means masters and servants) was settled on and it was also decided to make an eponymous album so that Theigns & Thralls was the band’s name, the name of the album, and the name of one of the songs. This was to help clarify the band’s ’mission’ or ‘raison d’etre’.

As well as putting out the album and videos, the next phase of the band’s evolution will be to put together a ‘touring band’ when permitted, not only to do what was originally intended, but also to perform the new original songs – perhaps with a few guest artist appearances – and to become a force in their own right.

Theigns & Thralls is recommended for fans of Skyclad, Cruachan, Fiddlers Green, Flogging Molly, and Volbeat.

Theigns & Thralls is:
Kevin Ridley (Skyclad). vocals, guitar and mandola
John Ryan (ex-Cruachan), violin, Cello and backing vocals
Dave Briggs (Waylander), guitar, whistles and backing vocals
Arjon Valk, bass and backing vocals
Mike Verhof, drums

Canada’s Idol of Fear have been casting darkness since 2011 and have released two full-lengths since then. They are now releasing their third album “Trespasser” in March 2022 and the first glimpse into the aggressive and brooding LP is the single “Cheirotonia“.

Citing that it is their most powerful and cohesive album to date, Idol of Fear anticipates that listeners will hear a clear progression from their previous work and might be taken aback. They expect that it will come out of nowhere for many. The explain the single:

“Opening with a chant from Pavel Chesnokov ‘Let My Prayer Arise’, “Cheirotonia” was largely inspired by our own process of drawing upon the heavy darkness that continually creeps in the periphery of our lives outside the band. In that sense, it is perhaps one of the more introspective/personal songs on a largely cryptic album. Musically it flows like the river Styx, gliding as a spectre, with winding tragic melodies that seek to haunt, and strong driving rhythms that propel its bitter delivery.”

Musically, the single is tragic while carrying an air of mystery. Pessimistic, bold and refined lyrics set a darkly invigorating mood, bitter and somewhat sarcastic, but also triumphant and empowering, maintaining the mysterious atmosphere of the music.

Idol of Fear formed out of a necessity to make something of the darkness that swirls around us all. They’ve made music together for a very long time now – what you hear is the result of many years spent shaping their approach. It is not work they approach lightly.

Dark and chilling, “Trespasser” is recommended for fans of Behemoth, Shining and Deathspell Omega.

“Cheirotonia” can be heard via its premiere on NoCleanSinging HERE.

“Trespasser” will be released on March 11, 2021 via the band’s own label Somnolence Productions.

About:
A heavy darkness from Canada who have been stalking the unlit horizon since 2011, Idol of Fear is undeniable, undefinable. Formed out of a necessity to make something out of the gloom that swirls around us all, Idol of Fear has been making music together for a very long time now and dedicated themselves to honing their craft, as it is work that they do not approach lightly.

Thus far, Idol of Fear have released two full-lengths, “All Sights Affixed, Ablaze” (2014) and “Grave Aperture” (2018). A third, “Trespasser” will come out in 2022. All contributing ideas to the creative process, Idol of Fear tracked the first two albums themselves and tend to write new material by recording as opposed to jamming it out. Every lyric relates to a personal experience, but oftentimes certain elements seem to make their way through dreams and other nebulous connection points.

When playing live, some songs are re-arranged in order to be properly executed, but for the most part Idol of Fear recreates the atmosphere that their recorded material projects – with the extra ferocity of course.

0 Out Now! Rockshots Records – Neo-Classical Power Metal SARTORI Debut Album “Dragon’s Fire”

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – January 28, 2022

Out Now! Rockshots Records – Neo-Classical Power Metal SARTORI Debut Album “Dragon’s Fire”

Out now as of January 28th, Rockshots Records release the debut album from SARTORI entitled “Dragon’s Fire”. The epic full length is nine tracks of neo-classical power metal that are melodic, technical, and progressive. Led by main composer and guitarist Andy Sartori, with vocalist Scott Board, drummer Dino Castano and bassist Rod Viquez, the band sets the mood for something more than just singing over music.

With grandiose instrumentals and heroic vocals, Sartori creates complex, melodic tunes that command attention. They are heavily influenced by classical baroque music, so the band stands as the symphony behind Andy Sartori as the ‘maestro’. What sets these guys apart from other bands is their music composition. Andy Sartori explains further:

“We use a lot of arrangements that you won’t find any other bands doing. Lots of vocals, lots of guitar quartets, duets, and harmony arrangements. My writing is based on positive vibes, positive lyric content, no criticism, no anger, and I write sometimes about spiritual content in the matter of being a better human and about life experiences, personal and in general along with influence from movies and stories I enjoy… sometimes.”

Montreal, QC – January 28, 2022

Out Now! Rockshots Records – Finland’s AMOTH (ft. Ensiferum’s Pekka Montin) New Album “The Hour Of The Wolf”

New Music Video “Alice”

The Lycans are howling out loud today with release of Finnish metallers Amoth‘s new album “The Hour of The Wolf” via Rockshots Records.

The band’s roots are strongly founded on 80’s heavy metal, but branch out in different directions with elements from progressive rock, thrash, and even jazz brought to the table. “The Hour Of The Wolf” is the band’s third studio album to follow to their previous recordings “Revenge” (2016), “Crossing Over” (2011), “Wounded Faith (EP) (2008).

This third full-length features Pekka Montin of Ensiferum once again as the lead vocalist and for the first time, there are also keyboards on an Amoth recording. Fans can expect insane vocals and virtuoso-like playing from all members of the band. The nine songs are very diverse, taking sudden twists and turns into unexplored territory. Amoth even offers up two Steve Vai / Joe Satriani-style instrumentals on this new full-length with tracks “Wind Serenade Part I” and “Wind Serenade Part II”.

“This is by far our best album yet! Superior performances from all of the musicians. Much better production and songwriting. It’s not a fast-food album. Some of the songs are quite complex so it takes probably more than one listen to really get into!” comments Amoth guitarist and main songwriter Tomi Ihanamäki.

Today, in celebration of the album’s release, Amoth is sharing their latest music video for the record’s opening track “Alice”.

“The verse riff of this song was shown to me by Alice Cooper in my dream! I woke up and immediately wrote the riff down. That’s where the name of this song comes from, so thanks Alice! There are two main characters in this song: a stripper and her pimp. The lyrics are almost like a dialogue between those two. Very catchy and ”easy to get into” song with strong and memorable melodies. I knew this song needed an 80’s style chorus so that’s what it has.” adds guitarist Tomi Ihanamäki.

Toronto’s Depleted Uranium will be unleashing their new album “Origins” on Friday, Jan 28th and before they drop their atomic destruction of grindcore, math-metal, and power-violence, they are streaming the record in full via MetalInsider HERE.

“Origins” is a fast, aggressive journey with existential lyrics delivered with full throttle vocals, coupled with technical melodies and harmonies that bring you to your bad place. It is meant to obliterate negative energy and make life a better place as everyone has something to scream for or about.

The band adds:

“It has been a long time since the recording of Origins. Life, death, and everything in between has blessed and burdened us along our journey. Some say “it is not relevant” or “why not release new material”; for us, this is unreleased material and it’s part of our journey of perspective, and accompanied by the pandemic lockdown. We’ve never been a band to do what people expect, so expect us to do things differently and to not fit in as that’s part of us. That being said, we will always attempt to deliver 100% in music and writing, rehearsing and performing our music, with or without a witness as to us, our time together is sacred, meaningful, and requires sacrifice from all members to exist.”

“Origins” is Depleted Uranium‘s history of who they are and where they come from. It is meant to be listened to in reference to their self-titled, debut release; to give a perspective that will also further be referenced in their future releases. Both lyrics and music hold a high tension and are expressed without hesitation. Both are relevant to their time and space of creation and are embodied with existential yet direct meaning. The album as a whole is a statement of youth being dissatisfied with the existing conditions of reality and channeling our experience into what it is today. “If one cannot withstand the hot glow of anger upon the discovery of a wrong, then time is wasted thinking deeply”.Depleted Uranium‘s band name, their lyrics, and their music are a product of the system with the right individuals as the recipe. Their message on Origins” is to strive from personal freedom and to focus on what you want rather than what you don’t.

Loud, technical, and confident, “Origins” is recommended for fans of Converge, Charles Bronson, and Dillinger Escape Plan.

The album will be out on January 28, 2022 with the physical CD including an exclusive bonus track.

“The music (which could be thought of as a blending of powerviolence and math metal) genuinely sounds insane — furiously so — and yet something about the experience makes sense. Not just because it sounds like people throwing away mental shackles and conventions, but also because the music simultaneously gets its hooks in your head. There’s a sense of order and precision of execution in it, at the same time as it seems completely disruptive of order.” – No Clean Singing

“Aside from grind, you’re getting a decent dose of mathcore, but even more often, the music veers into territory that I think would appeal to screamo fans. These parts are governed by clean-ish, anguished vocals and additionally infused with melancholy by the guitar. While they do the most to define the mood of the album, I’d still hesitate to pigeonhole it, as the band pivots from style to style often enough to give the music a nicely weird, free-form feel. If you’d like a take on the post-nuclear apocalypse that isn’t filled with boring zombies and mutants, look no further.” – Toilet Ov Hell

“Origins is a deliciously disgusting album, there transpires a form of sincerity, without artifice or make-up. In about twenty minutes, Depleted Uranium will take you apart like a puzzle! This music is so visceral that it explodes the stomach and the ears.” – Aux Portes du Metal

“‘Origins’ is not only an impressive feat for a one take live performance, but it really has a lot of violent energy and the twenty minutes or so flies in. You sometimes find that powerviolence/grindcore can be a little one note (I know, I know, it’s kinda the point) but Depleted Uranium’s work has a lot more variety to it and isn’t merely noise for music’s sake. If you like your music ugly, visceral and yet a bit thought provoking then Depleted Uranium are going to be for you!” – The Killchain Blog

0 TURBO Get Their Thrills With Amusement Park Break In To Film Music Video “Alive”; Music Video Premiere via Bravewords

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – January 27, 2022

TURBO Get Their Thrills With Amusement Park Break In To Film Music Video “Alive”

Music Video Premiere via Bravewords

Album “Fast as Fvck” Out Now!

Last year Turbo released their debut album “Fast as Fvck”, a thrash metal rollercoaster of a musical ride that grabs you and doesn’t let go. Today, they have a new music video in support of the song “Alive” and to film it, they broke into an abandoned amusement park. This stunt is perfect for a band who describes their sound as “if nitroglycerin had a soundtrack”.

The intention with their sound was to be like a gateway-drug into the rock-and-roll lifestyle, but without all the glitz and glamour of a Snakeoil Salesman band really trying to sell you on it. According to the Turbo, this is something a bit grittier, a bit more street, a bit rawer, and a bit more real. They go on to explain the track “Alive”:

“It is more or less a written testament to bad-decisions with one of the most badass riffs on the album slapped on top of it. The song features a call-and-response guitar harmony and an anthemic chorus. There’s not too much more to say on it apart from being among the most fun songs on the album; definitely one to do a keg stand along to!”

Each of the members of Turbo was in separate bands when they came together with the desire to be part of something bigger and badder.

“Something that was gonna grab things right by the cojones and give it a good shake.”

Their album “Fast as Fvck” is an homage to true rock and roll in its most vicious and visceral form. Each of the seven tracks hit like a swift kick to the teeth from a whole new angle of attack, but the assault is far from a mindless battering to the eardrums.

Turbo is highly recommended for fans of Guns n’ Roses, Ramones and Pantera.

The video for “Alive” can be viewed via its premiere on Bravewords HERE.

Track Listing:
1. Burning The Wick (2:13)
2. Alive (3:12)
3. Living On The Line (3:26)
4. Silver Spoon (2:56)
5. Make Bail (3:25)
6. Last Call (3:41)
7. Serpents Coil (6:37)
Album Length: 25:33

About:

Like your disheveled uncle on Christmas morning, Turbo is trashed, pissed off, sleazy, mean, and sick of your shit. Coming at you hard and fast from the east coast of Canada, rages Turbo. An eclectic mix of rock, punk, and metal, this is what would happen if nitroglycerin had a soundtrack. High impact is the name of the game for them and they are bringing the grit to listeners around the world.

With 100% collaborative effort, the themes that fuel Turbo lyrics revolve around personal experiences or things that just come up while they’re writing the music to a particular piece. The focus is that all the bandmates are able to relate to everything they sing about. It’s real, edgy, and visceral.

The highly potent debut album “Fast as Fvck” was released in 2020; it’s metal enough for the heshers, punk enough for the threshers, and rocking enough to satiate the haughtiest of purest; welcome to Turbo’s patented “Nitro-Rock”.

0 Dive Into Despair And Depression With The Video For Arsenic Addiction’s “Tomb of Sleep”; Video Premiere via TheCirclePit

In 2019, Utah’s Arsenic Addiction released their third album “XIX”, they are now releasing a video for the single “Tomb of Sleep”. To put it bluntly, the song is about suicide ideation, apathy, depression, and the inner battle that these things cause and wanting to give in to what seems like relief, but finding yourself conflicted “between two worlds”. The band put it forth as a single because not only does it represent the album well, but ties together their old material and what is to come. They explain the track:

“We wanted the viewer to experience what these emotions can feel like. Deep in the woods, death following you, in purgatory, blinded. The weight of these emotions can make you feel like you’re being buried alive, bled dry, and ultimately hopeless. Everyone knows what a battle with mental illness can look like but not everyone knows what it feels like. We hope this video provides a small window into that world and what it feels like to struggle within when you’re already dead but somehow still breathing.”

The album “XIX” is the story of an outsider, relatable to those who dare to be different, strange, or unusual and are made out to be monsters, demons, or witches because of it. It’s the journey of the human soul from a feminine perspective experiencing love, hate, finding inner power, and making deals with the devil to conquer those who would stand in the way of that power. “Tomb of Sleep” is meant to feel aggressive, dark, and a look inside her feelings of hopelessness and loss.

Gothic in sound, Arsenic Addiction‘s music is melodic and both beautiful and sorrowful. It is recommended for fans of In This Moment, Arch Enemy and Myrkur.

The video for “Tomb of Sleep” can be seen and heard via TheCirclePit – https://youtu.be/gGcGm2xQYDA

“XIX” was released on September 23, 2019.
