Vancouver Thrashers Titans Eve Announce Dates For “The Divine Equal Tour”

Vancouver’s rising thrash shredders Titans Eve has announced they will be trekking across Canada and the US for their first North American tour in support of their debut release “The Divine Equal”.
Guitarist / Vocalist Brian Gamblin commented on the tour. “Titans Eve is beyond excited to be embarking on The Divine Equal North American tour. We are hell bent on delivering a power house juggernaut of a live show for all of you, and to show the world that we are an unstoppable force capable of destroying stages across the continent. It is to be a two month outing, doubling last year’s Burning Canada tour. I hope to see all of you metal heads out at our shows cause it’s going to be one hell of a party.”

Track Listing:

Titans Eve came together when brothers Brian (guitar/vocals) and Kyle Gamblin (guitar/backup vocals) decided to start their own musical project in 2008 after the departure of previous projects. The line up of Titans Eve was completed with the recruitment of Jesse Hord (bass) and Casey Ory (drums), from there the Vancouver-based band have set out to create honest, powerful modern metal and have repeatedly piled into the “Titan Train” (i.e. their 2007 Ford E-350 van) and traveled across Canada, bringing their music to as great an audience as possible. They’ve played over 80 shows in the past year and a half and 2011 will see them travel further than ever before as tour dates will be announced for Canada, the U.S. and Europe.
The Divine Equal can be ordered on Titans Eve Bandcamp link here, iTunes, CD Baby and various store locations across Canada.

April 13th – Foufounes Electriques – Emery Street – Reveal Their New Americana Sound From The Back Alleys of Montreal

Sprouting from Montreal’s back alleys and delivering a unique hybrid sound of Americana with a touch of gritty rock. Emery Street will be performing Wednesday, April 13th at Foufounes Electriques with Pif Paf Hangover, Ernie Coombs and Severed Wings.
Growing and now morphed from a simple four-piece into a multilayered gutter orchestra. Emery Street’s arrangements of screaming brass, raunchy guitars, powerful rhythm sections and raw country strings will have you jamming along.
The band will be performing new tracks from an upcoming release that is to follow their 2009 debut album, “No Regrets, No Apologies,” mixed by Pierre Bazinet (Celine Dion, Arcade Fire, Jean Leloup) and was produced entirely by singer-songwriter Seb Schwartz in his Montreal studio located on the very street that inspired the band’s moniker.
Frontman Seb Schwartz was first exposed to music at a young age by hearing the sounds constantly churning out of his father’s home studio. It can be said that Schwartz began his musical career by producing hip hop acts from across Quebec until, at 18, he ran into renowned Canadian producer Pierre Bazinet in a parking lot. Following some ‘auditions,’ Bazinet agreed to teach him at his studio and it wasn’t long before Schwartz began recording and producing himself.
Embarking on a quest to form a professional band, countless songs and line-up changes ensued until, in 2010, Schwartz was able to finally establish the Emery Street he had always know was possible and that he had been so ardently searching for.
Since then, Emery Street has gone on to play some of Montreal’s most respected venues (Club Soda, Café Campus, Le National) and is about to unveil its second full-length album this summer, which is bound to deliver their greatest eclectic masterpiece to date.

Time: 8:00pm to 12am
Cost: $15

April 8th – Foufounes Electriques – THE CATALYST Release Their Thrash Fury “ORIGINS”

It’s finally here. Rising from Montreal’s metal hotbed, and being voted the 2nd Heaviest Local Act by the Mirror’s Best of Montreal Readers Poll 2010, The Catalyst, who recently opened for Apocalyptica at Metropolis on March 10th, are ready to deliver their ultimate display of high energy aggression to date with the release of their debut full-length album, Origins, and an accompanying show/party.
Taking over their old stomping ground, Foufounes Electriques, on April 8th, The Catalyst will officially launch Origins: “This release has been nearly two years in the making, so we promise the launch party will be the culmination of everything we’ve been doing,” says bassist Mike Marino.
Origins is the perfect display of the band’s unique brand of thrash that fuses elements of the genre’s founding fathers (Metallica, Megadeth) with those from current flag waivers (Fear Factory, Lamb of God), creating a thundering sonic cocktail of aggressive thrash. The album was produced by J-F Fortin (Neuraxis, Anonymous) and mastered by Alan Douches (Chimaira, Hatebreed) at West West Side Music, and really showcases The Catalyst’s never-say-die attitude.
“We are all really excited to finally be able to release our debut album with a launch show and after-party at Foufounes,” says Marino. “All of the opening bands are fantastic and guaranteed to keep you moving all night, and we’ll even have a few surprises in store for the crowd!”
