TITANS EVE Streaming New Single ‘Destined To Die’ on Decibel Magazine’s Deciblog, FREE T-Shirt with Pre-Order of New Album + Tour with ANVIL

Vancouver thrashers Titans Eve are now exclusively streaming their first single ‘Destined To Die’ on Decibel Magazine’s Deciblog here. The single is from the band’s upcoming concept album ‘Life Apocalypse’ set for release on Friday, July 13th and is the follow up to last year’s debut ‘The Divine Equal’ (based on The Book of Genesis & John Milton’s poem ‘Paradise Lost’).

”Destined to Die’ is the track we feel really introduces our album’s theme of a personal apocalypse on a broad scale. It’s about a person’s everyday struggle with life challenges and how in the end we die no matter how hard we fight to live. Death is the storm we can’t see, but our wanting to triumph over challenges despite the inevitable end is what makes us real.’ says vocalist / guitarist Brian Gamblin.

Anthem Rockers PROJECT MARS Announce Canadian Tour Dates

Ottawa, ON based heavy anthem rockers Project Mars are proud to announce Canadian tour dates with fellow rockers Riding Shotgun that will see both bands trek across Ontario to BC and back again. This is Project Mars’ first cross Canada tour, which will be in promotion of their upcoming debut album and recently released single “Don’t Hold Back”.

The single is a dedication to Canadian troops and their good friend / former bassist Jordan Elliott who broke the news to them that he was going to be stationed in Afghanistan and before he left gave Project Mars guitarist Jason Connolly his guitar telling him that if anything were to happen to him that he wanted someone to write some good tunes and keep his spirit alive. Also, the band wanted to write a song that described a soldiers point of view of going into battle and not letting anything get in his or her way along with illustrating the fear that goes along with it and the thoughts of not knowing if you’ll ever return the same mentally or physically and alive to your friends and family.

About: What began as some plain good ol’ banter on the job between three coworkers at a restaurant, soon became prog rock band Sound Addiction, morphed into a power trio and eventually evolved into alt rock band now know as Project Mars.

After purchasing all the necessary gear to record a debut album, tackling the learning curve that followed and playing a number of successful shows, a mix of unforeseen factors led to the dissolution of Project Mars a year later. But not too long after that is when, in 2010, a reunion between high school friends Jason Connolly (Guitars/Vocals) and Ron Henry (Vocals/Guitars) resulted in the beginning of the resurrection of Project Mars.

Now, Project Mars is gearing up to release its debut full-length album, Don’t Hold Back, in September 2012. With the title track an ode to the band’s former bassist who left to join the Canadian army, the record deals with everything from war and politics to more personal struggles.

Packed with in-your-face rock and tons of attitude from track to track, Don’t Hold Back’s first mission is to kick listeners’ asses and its second is to help raise awareness and funds for multiple sclerosis research, following a recent diagnosis that hit close to home.

ALL ELSE FAILS Announce New Drummer, Recording New Album

Edmonton, AB based metallers All Else Fails  are proud to announce the addition of new drummer Shane Tym to their line up after the departure of Tom Wolf. Tym who has been drumming for the last 15 years and was born in Edmonton but grew up in Chilliwack, BC and has played in multiple bands, will be making his AEF debut at this year’s Normfest in Fishing Lake, AB on August 4th.

“I’m super pumped to be a part of such a wicked band with such great (and kinda weird) dudes, and am really looking forward to creating some sexy sexy music together!’ says new drummer Shane Tym.

AEF vocalist/ guitarist Barrett Klesko also comments.

“Over the past couple of years we have tried out a handful of drummers, and though we have had some great times with some fantastic musicians, we have yet to find a really good fit for the project. Until now! We are excited to announce that Shane Tym of Edmonton will be filling the spot. He is a fantastic drummer who is an excellent fit for All Else Fails. You will be able to hear him on our next album, which we are already in the process of writing.”

All Else Fails unleashed their latest album ‘The Oracle, What Was, Is And Could Have Been’  on Suicidal Bride Records last year to great acclaim and have been touring strong across Canada since its release. The band will now hit the studio for their follow up.

In additional news, the band has launched a new web series called ‘Breaking Acclaim’ that features AEF’s satirical sense of humour along with their road side antics.

Bio:

Socially conscious, lyrically poetic, rife with apocalyptic symbolism; All Else Fails is poised to take our world by storm. Playing an aggressively dark blend of Punk, Metal, and Rock, this well established Edmonton based band breaks the traditional ideals of their genre by producing music infused with experimental elements, incorporating Classical music, Electronica influenced synth lines, and spoken word sampling. This is metal for a new audience, one that’s ready for what’s beyond the ordinary.

Their inspired high-energy live show sets them apart from their peers, often drawing comparisons to The Holly Springs Disaster and Killswitch Engage.

The band’s unique sound has won them acclamation and fans from across Canada and around the globe. Using intricate guitar riffs and meaningful lyrics delivered with powerful vocals, they draw their listeners in, and then blast them with full frontal force!

The band has played with major touring acts such as Fear Factory, City of Fire, 3 Inches of Blood, Threat Signal, Decapitated, Suffocation, and Arise & Ruin, as well as earning a spot playing the Ernie Ball stage on the 2009 Vans Warped Tour that featured Bad Religion, Alexisonfire, NOFX, Devil Wears Prada, Underoath, and more.

On the local circuit via their indie label Suicidal Bride Records, All Else Fails frequently shares the stage with some of Canada’s top touring indie acts such as Ninjaspy, Endast, Quartered, Stella, Dead Jesus, Fattooth, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Submerge the Sky, Without Mercy, and more.

AEF have several tours under their belt including a 2009 Cross Canada tour, western Canada in June of 2010, and coast to coast Canadian tour again in September of 2010 which saw them placed on not just one showcase at Indie Week in Toronto, but so impressing organizers of the event that they received an invitation to play a second showcase that week.

2012 is a year full of promise for the band with an aggressive plan to increase touring, building on the wave of new fans that were created on previous tours, as well as new recordings and music videos. All Else Fails will be reaching beyond borders this year, ready to set the world in flames!

Tribune vocalist Bryan Baker also stated in a blog posting on the band’s website.

” …it was a total blast, and we already can’t wait to tour the States and Canada again (it sure as hell beats working a day job)! Having said that, we in Tribune need a bit of a rest from the road, some time to visit with our friends and families, and also time to finish writing the next album. Of course, that doesn’t mean we’ll be idle. No, we’ll be playing an after-party show at Iron Roads Studio June 23rd, then playing another Courtenay show at The Mex June 29th, then Brian Else’s birthday bash, again at Iron Roads, on July 14th.”

About: A band of friends and brothers, the five members behind Tribune have been together since 2004, making it their mission to create challenging yet accessible metal. With an EP and demo behind them, the music has become both heavier and more melodic from release to release and now, Tribune is set to unleash its latest album, Elder Lore/The Dark Arts, showcasing the raw sound that captures the band in its natural live element.

Mixing thrash / progressive rock metal with melodic vocals, the album will feature new material along with classic fan favorites. “We want people to be impacted by the vision, effort and creativity put in to make a new and unique style that is genre defying,” said the members collectively when asked what they hope listeners will take away from Elder Lore/The Dark Arts.

Genre defying. Accessible. Iconoclastic. This can only be Tribune.
