“We’re really proud to finally bring Prototype to the masses. It represents the next step for Insurrection, trying out different ways to present our own sound, exploring different angles and methods! Gaining strong comparisons to artists such as Sam Roberts, Matt Mays and Joel Plaskett, Matt Blais’ latest release ‘The Heartbeat’ combines elements of fiery rock and roll with smooth vintage soul to form a sound so uniquely his own that one can’t help but become emotionally charged. The combination of a high energy live show and a passion for song writing is Blais’ formula for success, which thus far has been very well received by critics and the audiences that continue to grow in number.
Matt Blais comments:
“I’ve missed being on the road. I like to think of myself as a musical troubadour, or some kind of old school minstrel. The road is my home, especially the Canadian road. I don’t think there is a better time to tour Canada than in the fall so I’m excited to take my music to any city that will have me!”
New Canadian tour dates have also been announced in support of his newly released album ‘The Heartbeat’.
