Unleashing their debut album ‘The Healing Powers of Hate’ earlier this month, Montreal, QC’s BornBroken announce they will be supporting fellow local metallersThe Agonist on July 12th at Foufounes Electriques.

Event info:

July 12, 2013 – Foufounes Electriques – Montreal, QC w/ The Agonist, Order In Disorder, Through Death, Evertrapped – Show Details

The groove metallers have been gaining momentum since releasing their debut as it was fan voted Album of The Week (June 10th) on Revolver Magazine, along with debuting #8 on Canadian College Loud Charts, and them being named one of the best unsigned Heavy Metal Bands for June by Drago’s Dungeon on About.com – Heavy Metal. They also received great admiration from Yell Magazine! quoting ‘This is a debut metal album of epic proportions. If it’s not the Canadian metal album of the year, it’s certainly in the running for Canadian debut metal album.’ along with TheFrontRowReport quoting ‘BornBroken may be the best metal band you probably haven’t heard of. Those who love hard, heavy, angry metal are in for a treat and may find a new favorite in BornBroken.’.

The album is now streaming at the following link: http://soundcloud.com/bornbrokenmusic/sets/thehealingpowersofhate

Their heavy hitting single ‘Control’ is also available for FREE download at the following links below.

BornBroken was formed with one simple mission in mind: Help the masses find a voice, a face, an “X” that marks the spot through the sounds of beating skins, metal strings and broken chords.

After months of writing and hours spent in the studio, BornBroken managed to take every emotion they felt, put it to music, build off of past battle scars and create a record where listeners will feel they are part of the storyline.

On their debut album, The Healing Powers of Hate, BornBroken play out not only what life has given them but also what they want to give back: truth, integrity, perseverance, loyalty and faith in humanity’s struggle for equality.

Band Search For Indie Opener

HOW BANDS CAN SHARE THE STAGE:

Based on a points system, bands interested in performing on the festival will have to share the following link:

http://igg.me/at/STMFest2013/x/2699098

Each “share” on FB of the STM Festival Indiegogo crowd funding campaign = 1 point
Each ticket sold to the festival = 5 points
Each contribution made by a band member from a participating band = 10 points
All participating band members make a contribution = 25 points
The participating band that raises the most money through the campaign = 50 points

When making contributions on the crowd funding page, contributors are urged to add a comment letting STM Records know, which participating band they’re supporting to help get a spot on the festival lineup.

So what does the band win?

The band selected will receive an opening slot at the “Spread the Metal Festival 2013 – Toronto Edition”, full backline, get a chance to meet Suffocation, The Agonist, Augury, Skull Fist, and many more, and have their album reviewed by Spread the Metal Records and other industry reps.

July 30th 2013 marks the date of All Else Fails’ heaviest and most diverse release, ‘Fucktropolis’ unleashed via Suicidal Bride Records. Heavy with a dark beauty, this highly anticipated five track EP, the band’s 4th release will solidly placeAll Else Fails amongst the best in their genre.

The first single ‘Better Left Undead’ is now streaming at the following links:

Vocalist / guitarist Barrett Klesko comments:

“I’m proud to say that we have never made the same album twice, and this is no exception, easily our heaviest effort to date. This album is not only much heavier, but also much more sonically diverse. It’s extremely angry, but it has this grave, dark, beauty to it as well.”

Fucktropolis – Track Listing:

1. AntiMartyr

2. Better Left Undead

3. La Demencia Violenta

4. Obedience At The Altar of Sacrifice

5. A Most Unwanted Reprieve

Coming out of Edmonton Alberta Canada, All Else Fails is making a mark around the world for their aggressively dark brand of metal that is breaking the traditional ideals of their genre. Drawing comparisons to bands like As I Lay Dying, the band infuses their music with a variety of elements that includes experimental, Classical, synth lines, and spoken word sampling to accent a unique blend of heavy as hell screams and shiver inducing clean vocals.

A high energy live show that sets them apart from their peers has garnered them appearances on numerous high level festivals over the years, including Van’s Warped tour, Boonstock and opening spots for artists like Protest the Hero, Cancer Bats, Dayglo Abortions, 3 Inches of Blood, Fear Factory, Threat Signal, Decapitated, Suffocation, and Arise & Ruin.

The band’s last release received world wide praise from industry publications around the world. With the release of the band’s most recent music video “This Burden of Life” in the fall of 2012, and its addition to rotation on Canada’s Much Music, All Else Fails’ fan base expanded dramatically.

Calgary, AB alternative blues/ rock musician Matt Blais is premiering his latest music video ‘Goodbye Sunshine’ on Blank TV at the following link below. The video was filmed in Toronto in the midst of Blais’ cross Canada tour in promotion of his new album ‘The Heartbeat’ released in February.

Matt Blais – Goodbye Sunshine

Gaining strong comparisons to artists such as Sam Roberts, Matt Mays and Joel Plaskett, Matt Blais’ latest release ‘The Heartbeat’ combines elements of fiery rock and roll with smooth vintage soul to form a sound so uniquely his own that one can’t help but become emotionally charged. The combination of a high energy live show and a passion for song writing is Blais’ formula for success, which thus far has been very well received by critics and the audiences that continue to grow in number.
