Zombie hunting punks Kill Matilda has teamed up with Bloody-Disgusting.com for the premiere of their new lyric video ‘Zombie Apocalypse’, which features remixed clips of the public domain work of George A Romero’s immortal ‘Night of the Living Dead’.
“We are releasing this video to our fans as a thank you for all their continuing support over the years. We are excited for our upcoming 6 month US tour and prepping ourselves for the bloody onslaught that will be the ZOMBIE USA tour. We are ready to manage the zombie threat south of the border and prevent an apocalypse and we need the help of all of our fans to do it! We launched an Indiegogo campaign last week to raise funds for a new Zombiemobile and are so happy that we are already almost at 50% of our goal. Everyone please keep supporting and help us get there so we can wipe up the undead threat and rock the shit out of everyone in the US!” comments voclaist / guitarist Dusty Exner.

Kill Matilda kicked off their Indiegogo campaign (https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/kill-matilda-zombie-usa-tour-van–2) last week to raise funds, a goal of $5,000, which has already met its half way mark as an anonymous backer pitched in an amazing sum of $2000 towards the campaign for the band’s new van for their six month USA tour in promotion of their new EP‘Punk, Zombie, Rock n’ Roll’. Kill Matilda will cross into the great US of A for the first time plus performing a sneak peak of new tracks not on the EP recorded with producer extraordinaire Garth Richardson. ‘Punk, Zombie, Rock n’ Roll’ features tracks from their 2011 full-length album ‘I Want Revenge’ with an acoustic rendition of ‘Geisha With A Switchblade’ accompanied by a comic book created by vocalist/guitarist Dusty Exner that can be downloaded at http://killmatilda.com/.

Taking their name from a Clive Barker short story and shifting gears from jazz (which most of the members studied at Vancouver Island University) to progressive metal, the band combine poly-metric grooves, aggressive screams and soaring vocal melodies to push the boundaries of modern metal music with technically impressive musicianship to follow up their 2011 debut album ‘All Too Human’ (also available for free download at the following link http://thebodypolitic.bandcamp.com/).
