Releasing their third EP ‘Come And Get It’ last month on November 18th, alternative metal band BLIND RACE has posted a new lyric video for their track ‘Hypocrite’ at the following link here.
Produced by Mike Langford plus mastered by Chris Crerar at Toronto’s fame Metalwork Studios, the EP features 7 string powered tracks such as “Come and Get It” and “Hypocrite” to more eastern influenced charismatic progressions in “Truth or Dare” and Latin derived contrasts in “Hopeless”, demonstrating the diverse style of Blind Race. All the music in this EP was written using a very simple philosophy by guitar player Costas Kentros. Just play what you feel, which is showcased in this powerful, heavy, dark yet bright, five track record inspired by the many facets of life itself. The EP is the follow up to 2012’s Lost and 2008’s Seeing Red by the Toronto, ON award nominated band (Toronto Independent Music Awards: nominated Best Live Metal Act (2012), Best Metal Act (2010)).
As previously commented by drummer Stelios Kentros:
“We hope our fans and new listeners enjoy these tracks as much as we did while writing and recording them. Grab “Come And Get It” and let’s show some that metal is still alive and well \m/”
‘Come and Get It’ is available on Bandcamp and iTunes here.

About:
What started as two brothers and their best friend getting together for some freestyle jams and demo recordings in 2005 soon evolved into enough written material for two EPs and the birth of a new full-blown band, Blind Race, in 2007.
Drawing inspiration from their love of fast cars and the intrigue of driving them blind, as well as modern-day racial issues and the idea that we are all the same, the award nominated (Toronto Independent Music Awards: Best Live Metal Act Nomination (2012), Best Metal Act Nomination (2010)), Blind Race arrived at a name packed with meaning to match its melting pot sound.
Putting emphasis on musical identity and creativity, the then Toronto four-piece released Seeing Red in 2008, unleashed Lost in 2012 and grew to a five piece that is now ready to unveil its third EP, Come and Get It.
Going back to raw, air thrusting, 7-string powered tracks such as “Come and Get It” and “Hypocrite” to eastern influenced charismatic progressions in “Truth or Dare” and Latin derived contrasts of “Hopeless”, this EP is just the tip of the iceberg, which is the diverse style of Blind Race. All the music in this EP was written using a very simple philosophy by guitar player Costas Kentros. Just play what you feel. “With the initial riff of each song, the gates just opened and the music flowed out and created a statement for each song. From love to hate, to truth or dare, standing your ground and those times when you just want to kill the pain with a bottle of Jack. These songs cover our most common situations and emotions.” says Kentros.

“or those of you who are unfamiliar with the band, I would describe their sound as something like a mix between VOLBEAT and GODSMACK, but noticeably heavier and with a much more serious tone. There is also a prominent groove element present, particularly in the hostile, no-nonsense opener “Hypocrite” as well as the blistering riffs of the high-octane title track. I know that Metal fans pride their music on remaining mostly an underground phenomenon, but I could totally hear these guys on the radio, which I don’t say to simply lump them in with the legions of today’s jock-rock bands. They definitely have the songs to back up their superb musicianship, with a precise yet pummeling rhythm section synchronized expertly with the guitar riffs.” – Metal Temple
“…the latest effort from BLIND RACE paints the picture of a band firing on all cylinders. A mature, dynamic, and memorable release, fans of Alternative and traditional Heavy Metal alike will find a lot to like on “Come And Get It.”” – Metal Temple
“I would encourage anyone to take the time to check out the Come And Get It EP as you will find yourself quickly drawn in.” – The Front Row Report
““Come And Get It” is the second EP and third release overall from the heavy metal band Blind Race from Toronto. This is a really great EP and if you like bands like Pantera, Five Finger Death Punch, Alice In Chains and Godsmack then you should check this out. This EP has plenty of adrenaline pumping shout along anthems and a great groove that is perfectly infused between thrash riffs and grunge and the transitions flows quite naturally…I am pretty sure that anyone who simply appreciates metal, regardless of its form, will find something for him/herself in this kick-ass piece of groove.” – Melodic.net
“If you are looking for a quick shot of Metal and Rock into your system then you definitely need to check out Blind Race brand new ep Come And Get It.” – Kingston Music Reviews
“Listening to the Come And Get It EP from Canadian intensive rockers Blind Race, is like being run down by a fully loaded juggernaut with its throttle fully open and subsequently being caught on its axle and dragged for the ultimate ride. Five tracks which predominantly stomp like a bear in heat, the release is a muscular confrontation using the listener as its plaything and rewarding with some of the most voracious and ferocious rock ‘n’ roll heard in a long time. The band’s third release, Come And Get It sums up their intent and the EP’s unbridled invitation into their compelling sonic devilry, and though it may not be bulging with startling originality it is hard to remember a fusion of rock and metal more enjoyable and anthemic this year.” – Ring Master Reviews
“strong, aggressive, and hard driving. The first two tracks especially deliver a heavy punch, the kind of thing that will certainly get audiences roused and ready to stomp about….The guitar solo on that track (Hopeless), however, was well worth a listen. It’s a highlight of the album; check it out.” – Sea of Tranquility
“this EP will definitely be satisfying your need for metal and hard rock. When you first take a listen, they will bring to mind great bands like Godsmack, Soil or Volbeat but then after you listen closer, you can definitely discern their own unique sound shining through. You will become hooked!” – Music Junkie Press
“these songs (EP Come And Get it) should appeal to fans of Godsmack, Bobaflex and Five Finger Death Punch.” – Palace of Rock
“I spent a good portion of my time head banging to this tune (Come And Get It). That’s how much High Octane Fuel Driven this song was to me. What set’s this band a part from most Metal bands is their Vocalist – Tommy Geraldes. In my humble opinion – I like how Blind Race incorporated Classic hard hitting Heavy Metal with the new Metal sound of today and it show with the help having a shredder like (Mike Langford) producing it…. Good Job!” – Maximum Threshold
“Blind Race blast out sustain driven and acoustically inspired slabs of no nonsense rock, heavily influenced by 90’s masters but embed with a new energy that make them deserving of a massive following” – Spenny Bullen
“a great connection with the audience at the Velvet Underground. The crowd got really engaged in the concert when Blind Race played their metal cover version of Elvis Presley‘s ”Hound Dog;” a fine version spiced up with a little bit of heavy guitar and double pedal bass drums.” – Toronto Metal Music Examiner (Live Review)

“This is the perfect example of what a good instrumental record should be: full of surprises and never feeling like the mix lacks vocals. Hooks are made with interesting guitar leads or captivating drums and that is exactly the way it should be. With this great release, Lang sets high standards for his future endeavors.” – Lords of Metal
“Combining atmospheric keyboards and djenty rhythms, and adding a slight touch of jazz rock and loads of melody, this EP should definitely appeal to fans of modern progressive music….the musicianship and songwriting is top notch, and the production is also extremely professional for a self-released EP. The production nicely allows for the sweeping layers of sound to shine through in a balanced and harmonic way. I definitely hope to hear more from Lang in the future. “Aion I” should appeal to fans of Animals As Leaders, Chimp Spanner, and Planet X.” – Metal Music Archives
“…on this five song EP, you have not only some fluid, inventive modern metal but also one with a very strong focus on melody, ambient space, subtle uses of keyboards to add an orchestral touch to the album along with a damn good attempt at an emotional connection to the listener. Which is a very pleasant and welcome surprise when you hear that this is a drummer-led recording….I’m also very glad to see more exciting, very modern instrumental metal that is focused on composition and dynamics rather than super-fast shredding which has been so prevalent over the past few decades.” – Prog Metal Zone
“Aion I is instrumental metal with a rather video-gamey quality to it, in that it’s driven by very enigmatic melodies, and the music thrives on syncopated grooves and polyrhythms, with gorgeous leads and atmosphere. It’s captivating, the songs are concise, yet have a lot of substance. Aion I is the band’s first output, an EP, and it’s quite good if you’re into instrumental metal of any sort.” – No Clean Singing
“If you like instrumental rock with elements of metal mixed in, you’ve got it with Aion I. I really love the guitar solos in Nazca Lines, although the album as a whole leans more towards drums, the inspiration of drum instructor Sean Lang. The EP is a quick listen at five songs and it’s worth your time. And check out the video for the song Dyatlov!” – Metalhead Blog

Initially never planning to release his music compositions beyond the borders of just song writing, freelance drummer / instructor Sean Lang was urged by his circle of musician friends whom heard his material to take his creativity to the next level.
The outcome is Vancouver-based instrumental progressive metal band Seven Year Storm, which showcases Lang’s unique sound, music arrangements written entirely by him plus added support of guitar-wizard and good friend Dean Lamb (Archspire) whom handles all of the mind-bending guitar leads and solos. Everything comes together into songs that are tight and heavy, melodic and groovy, technical yet memorable.
To get these works of art off the studio floor, Lang launched an Indiegogo campaign to raise the necessary investment to complete the first collection of songs, which will be released in 2015 as two EPs: Aion I and Aion II.

CONQUER Offer Free Download ‘Hell’s First Born’ From Upcoming EP ‘A Worms Demise’, Due Out Dec. 2nd

Unleashing their self-produced debut EP ‘A Worms Demise’ on December 2nd, Canadian blackened death metal band CONQUER are offering fans a second FREE download of the release with their track ‘Hell’s First Born’ at the following link here.
“‘Hell’s First Born’ is one of my favorite songs to play. It represents the constant duality between good and evil. It’s from the point of view of Archdemon who is born from darkness and sees the ideals of Heaven as unjust and feels as though the fallen angels have been given a raw deal. Musically it will appeal to fans of bands like Morbid Angel, Angelcorpse and Black Witchery.” comments vocalist Devlin Anderson.
The Oshawa, ON based band was originally created by vocalist Devlin Anderson as a one man black metal project, which has now grown to a full onslaught of blackened death with an influence of thrash featuring drummer Simon Oukhine, Ryan White on crushing guitar in the vein of classic Celtic Frost influence along with ex-Left Hand Creation bassist Rob Holden and his extreme groove.

1. A Worms Demise (5:23)
2. Hell’s First Born (4:59)
3. God Is The Destroyer (5:43)

ALL ELSE FAILS Announce Goodbye Show For Bassist Seedy Mitchell + Post Farewell Video + Begin Search For New Player

All Else Fails, the loud, heavy, lyrically conscious metal band from Edmonton, AB who’s latest EP ‘Fucktropolis’ garnered them award wins at the Western Canadian Music Awards and Edmonton Music Awards, announce the departure of long time bassist Seedy Mitchellwhom will be performing his last show with the band on December 5th in Edmonton at the Rendez Vous Pub. With his departure, the band will be moving forward and arecurrently searching for a new bassist to work with them on their follow up release.
Seedy Mitchell has issued the following statement on his departure:
A Eulogy, to whoever gives a shit,
This message is to set the record straight and quell speculation surrounding my departure from All Else Fails. First and foremost, I love this band. I love my band brothers, I love the management and I love the fans. You will always be my family and I hope there are no hard feelings, aside from my causing disappointment, between us. There has never been anything but honesty and heart within the band, within the band’s music and in the decision making so with respect, I’m going to lay it all out there.
For a long time I’ve been at war in my mind because the people involved in this project mean so much to me, but the fact is, I’ve lost my passion and desire to pursue music in this capacity, and I’m retiring from the idea. A negative and soulless outlook from anyone in a band reverberates throughout the entire project and will inevitably bring it down. For a long time I’ve felt like a boxed artist, a painter making prints, and I feel like I’ve been too busy being in a band to do what’s right for me, and that’s simply writing and recording. Expel the demons and move on. To me, the rest seems trivial and just slows that process down. Having said that, an artist never quits, so keep your ears open. You can expect music from two sources now, and in the meantime, I’ll be standing next to you in the crowd, as an AEF fan.
With utmost respect,
And with endless gratitude,
Thanks for all the beer.
Seedy Mitchell
Statement from vocalist / guitarist Barrett Klesko on Mitchell’s departure:
Life goes on and so does All Else Fails. Obviously we would have loved to continue with Mitch as our bassist, but he has to follow his own path, and we all respect that. Besides, I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that this isn’t the last you have heard of him with us. Meanwhile, we have been writing our next album (which is sounding rad already!) and will not be slowing down at all while we search for our new member. We will be playing live with a fill in bassist until the spot is permanently filled.
