Track by Track Breakdown of Echo Cosmic explained by PYRAMIDS ON MARS’ Kevin Estrella:
“To summarize, the overall story line of ‘Echo Cosmic’ is about mankind’s history of broadcasting radio and tv signals for over 100 years from earth to space.  Theoretically, some of these signals should be picked up by alien civilizations.  We are announcing our existence through this cosmic echo we are sending out.  We may be an insignificant species in a vast universe, but we are leaving a footprint that has infinite infuence.” comments Estrella.
1. Dream Division:  The whole introduction I heard in a dream.  Started off simply with guitar, but got more interesting when the bass and drums join in and are all doing something different from each other.  But it all worked.  Almost like division. Thus the name.
2.Battle for Rome:  Influenced by the X-Box One game trailer Ryse Son of Rome.  Watch the trailer, and you can imagine this song playing in it.

3. Death Valley Driver:  The main rhythm guitar and drums were bedtracks for this song.  Reminded me of driving fast on a desert road.

4. Tribute:  I was experimenting with some ’80’s guitar tone presets.  Improvising, I played the main rhythm part.  It sounded like something Randy Rhoads would play.  Decided to write a song dedicated to him.

5. Heaven’s Gate:  Influenced by a band who has a a dead guy with leather skin for a mascot.

6. Sailing the Ocean’s of Neptune:  Heard the main riff in my head for weeks.  Finally wrote the song.  Had a real Hendrix feel to it, with a large Extreme influence.

7. Spectre of Orion:  A song originally written in a band I used to be in called Omega Factor which consisted of just me and a drummer

8. Order of the Freemasons:  Song written back in 2011.  A very dark song about a dark subject.  It is more a work of art rather than being a radio friendly song.  A song I am very proud of.

9. Occam’s Razor:  A fast, thrash metal song with sharp, jagged teeth.  You will hear  at least three metal band influences in this one!
10. Echo Cosmic:  The flagship of the CD.  A song that creates a feeling of loneliness and isolation.  That which we are in this vast universe.
Kevin Estrella UFO experience:
The facts are as follows:
– August 21, 2014 @ 10:30pm, a 2 dimensional disc approx. 40 ft in diameter, surrounded in orange/red plasma appears over the City of Hamilton. He immediately files a full report with MUFON. (full report here)- 2015 Kevin Estrella attends the Alien Cosmic Exhibition (ACE) in Brantford, Ontario. He meets with MUFON investigator Stu Bundy who took his report. They are very excited to see him. They are doing a presentation at ACE that includes his sighting. They deem it to be AUTHENTIC.

– What is drawing attention, is from official UFO database reports, there is no record of any UFO sighting in the city of Hamilton the night of August 21, 2014.HE IS THE ONLY ONE WHO WITNESSED IT.

– He personally meets with world respected Ufologist, Grant Cameron to discuss the matter. He says this phenomenon is not uncommon; where one person is witness to a sighting and others around do not see it. He went on to explain how the same thing happened to John Lennon, in New York City.

– Grant has done extensive research into the subject of the UFO/alien phenomenon and its particular interest with musicians. Many musicians have come forward and have had personal alien/UFO encounters, and are getting musical ideas through downloads. Estrella discussed with Grant how he too, gets songs from dreams and nearly all his music seems to come from channeling into an energy source from elsewhere. The alien rock stories Grant talks about in his presentation sounds much like Estrella’s own personal experiences. That is what drew him to attend ACE in the first place.

– Grant is under the notion that the fact that no-one else saw it, this UFO sighting was meant for Estrella to see.

– Estrella is lead to believe the UFO/Musician connection Grant speaks of, He is a part of this group.

“Amazingly, Pyramids On Mars is the brainchild of just one man, a certain Kevin Estrella, who handles all instruments and drum programming. He truly is a virtuoso, however, unlike most virtuosos, he can write songs and play with feeling. His peers are the likes of Joe Satriani, Stevie Vai, Ritchie Blackmoor, Jimmy Page, and Randy Rhodes. Note that I said peers; he stands well on his own feet…I truly hope as many people hear this extraordinary album as possible—it truly is brilliant and deserves the widest possible audience.” – Hellbound

“PYRAMIDS ON MARS is the brainchild of Kevin Estrella. I immediately forgot this was a one-man project as soon as I started listening to new album Echo Cosmic…has a sound all its own. Derived of many styles, but still very unique…PYRAMIDS ON MARS, and Kevin Estrella have enough different sounds and feels to keep this entirely instrumental album interesting till the end…impressively so” – Amps And Green Screens

“If you’re a fan of talented and virtuous guitarists, it’s worth following this man. I recommend it!” – Metal Temple

“‘Echo Cosmic’ is a great trip through the immense and ever-expanding universe of guitar music.” – Merchants of Air

“Echo Cosmic is an engaging and interesting listen, which curates through the conceptive mind of Kevin Estrella.” – Kingston Music Reviews

“With the new release “Echo Cosmic” coming out on September 8th, 2015 they continue to blow minds and bend genre. The last I can explain by using two completely different bands in one sentence. This band accelerates from Iron maiden to Meshuggah in about 2 seconds….Overall this record is mind bending and goes beyond what is being made nowadays. Pyramids on Mars blows borders of metal and rock away and leaves you with a satisfied feeling.” Rating 9/10. – Dutch Metal Maniac

Bringing horror, mayhem, and pain through a medium that brushes on brutal death metal, Edmonton, AB’s BLËED officially unleash their debut album ‘The Hatred Inside’. The 11 track ripper is available both digitally and on CD (which features a booklet of grotesque artistic imagery and band photos) via the band’s website here and on bandcamp here.

With a live show that combines costumed performances with crushing, groovy thrash peppered with blood. The band pays homage to theatrical metal kings, GWAR, through their own original material and costume design. They guarantee that fans will be chanting along with their grotesque lyrics from such songs as ‘Committed’ complete with appropriate props to accompany much of the material they write.

“”The Hatred Inside has now been unleashed in all of its rampant, blood lusting glory! Serving as a catalyst, we have set forth bringing our own variety of the macabre that can only be defined as BLËED. Well you would be to get your own copy and indulge in the vile depravity held within! And well you would be to witness the horrific mayhem unfold live by staying tapped into the main vein at www.bleedband.com for our future upcoming shows!”” comments vocalist Robert Kreed.

The blood covered four piece is composed of Ron (guitarist), Rob (vocalist), Mike (Bass) who also plays bass in Samandriel, and Chuck (Drums) who also plays in Idolatry and Ivardensphere. They draw inspiration from many bands; Slayer for their in your face delivery and lyrical content, GWAR for their stage show and lyrical content, Strapping Young Lad for their chaotic sound and comedic entertainment, Zimmer’s Hole for their stage show and variety of song style, and DevilDriver for their overall heavy/borderline death metal sound. Fans and crowds are guaranteed to be covered in blood by the end of the show with their endless ferocity.

Their song writing strategy is simple: start with a guitar riff, structure it, and map it out, from there they add bass and drums, rehearse liberally, and continue to craft the instrumentals until they are completely ‘fleshed’ out. Lyrics are usually written in one sitting by Robert (vocals), once the emotion is found, a story begins to unfold, be it about war, demons, death, torture, and other unpleasantries.

“The Hatred Inside looks like it will be one of Edmonton’s next big albums, helping to push not only this city’s scene further, but also Alberta’s scene as a whole further into the global metal consciousness. Fans of Devildriver, Pantera, and Jungle Rot that have not heard Bleed, I recommend you check them out.” Crown of Viserys
“The vocals were hardcore, the guitars were heavy in every sense of the word, and the drums had a nice, solid beat throughout “The Hatred Inside”. Another cool tid bit about this album is that according to the vocalist, Robert Kreed, “Each song is told by the perspective of the victim or the victimizer with one common theme of misery.” That’s pretty neat if you ask me….“The Hatred Inside” is an interesting album that should be checked out by anyone looking for intensity with a different theme.” – Metal Addicts

“The Hatred Inside’ is a nice throwback and a perfect combination of horror and thrash metal. This quartet already proved that they can put up a convincing live show so there’s little to stop them now from rising to the upper regions of today’s metal scene. There they will have to compete with bands with a more modern style but Bleed shouldn’t worry. Talent always prevails…” – Merchants of Air

“BLËED was the big attraction of the night. The crowd of eager metal heads was treated to a stage show that would leave anyone impressed. Fake blood, multiple costume changes and horror props all make BLËED shows absolutely insane. Especially when backed by loud and furious death metal, complete with blasphemous themes and zombie babies spewing Jägermeister to the crowd. This is a band that puts a tremendous amount of effort into their stage presence and the results are such that I could see BLËED live time and time again without ever getting bored.” – Random Metal Musings

“Tough, loud, and proud of their sound Bleed are here to make your ears well… bleed with music that is brash and crude, the kind of thing that will punish you until you genuflect in acknowledgement of the awesomeness that is this band.” – Two Guys Metal Reviews
“a legit slab of in-your-face metal that would make for a fine addition to any one’s personal collection!” – Heavy Metal Time Machine

Montreal-based five piece [EVERTRAPPED] has teamed up with NoCleanSinging.com for the exclusive track premiere of ‘Arise From The Ashes’, the fifth single from the band’s third album ‘Under The Deep’ (Hellstorm Recordz) due on October 16th to follow 2012’s Anomaly and 2010’s debut Tales From The Supermax

“‘Arise From The Ashes’ is a depiction of someone who has actually reached the bottom, so their rise from there so to speak. Like the king of their own universe broken by all clawing it’s back, but fueled by an ever-consuming hatred.” comments vocalist James Brookes.

To listen to ‘Arise From The Ashes’, please visit the following link: http://www.nocleansinging.com/2015/09/28/an-ncs-premiere-evertrapped-arise-from-the-ashes/

Delivering relentless brutal melodic death metal since 2007, [EVERTRAPPED]intentionally wrote their band name with enclosed brackets to signify the trappings of modern life for all of us and how people, despite their best attempts to break out of the mold are still affixed to a simple controlled existence and futility.

Members of the band bring together their collective experience from the Montreal metal scene to create their heavy brand of death metal. The guitarists Frederick Dupuis (ex-Daggerfalls) and Vincent Benoit hammer out raw guitar while drummer Eric Lemire (ex-Apocalypsys, ex-Ice Castle) pummels the drums. Their versatile frontman James Brookes (ex-Ammonia, ex-One Final Moment, Continuum) easily alternates between strong clear vocals and low bellowing screams giving listeners the illusion of more than one vocalist. John Yates (ex-AraPacis) weaves together each song with his driving bass lines to keep the punishing tracks energy at an all time high.

Lyrics are intentionally slightly abstract to lure fans to draw their own conclusions despite a perceived understanding of the tracks. Themes for the music revolve around personal turmoil and even stringing together the image of a future where the world is on the brink of an apocalypse.

The band’s influences range from Death Metal to Melodic Death primarily, along with some classic thrash and speed metal, which explains their technicality and diversity sonically. Live, the band is a whirlwind of aggression and sonically abrasive, yet sporadically melodic vocally and instrumentally.

About the album and track by track explained by Evertrapped.

Under The Deep is an exploration of the deepest reaches of human madness. Not clinical madness, but simply the darkest regions of the soul and the blackest part of the human heart from a mind found to be socially functional, but is really way too far gone. And thus it seeks to explore what is underneath the deepest depth, hence no matter how deep you descend there’s always another layer that can be torn away.

Tracks:

  1. […] intro
  1. Arise From The Ashes: A depiction of someone who has actually reached the bottom, so their rise from there so to speak. Like the king of their own universe broken by all clawing it’s back but fueled by an ever consuming hatred.
  1. Underneath The Deep: A personal look at how a person can only be fucked up by someone else for too long until they break. But this takes you to a point where you now can’t come back.
  1. Palace Of Injustice: A stab at anyone blinded by the indoctrination of any institution and their ultimate demise that likely follows due to their ignorance towards it. However, it does aim more at the disgust of the institutions themselves and not so much the ignorance of the people.
  1. Hypnotized By Hatred: Another personal reflection, but in this case more a person who has been made to believe that all they do is wrong. So it brings up the sense where if you tell someone enough times that they are shit, then eventually they will just believe it. And in this case someone who becomes a very dark god loathing individual because it takes them to a point where they think it’s hysterical.
  1. Blood Of The Fallen: This is set in a horror like context although it not some zombie tribute. It simply laughs at how we place so much importance on the memory of the dead yet never bat an eye at the reality of human suffering which we ourselves cause.
  1. Lethal District: Somewhat of a post apocalyptic view of the surviving factions of humanity that instill themselves as the powers that be, and thus cast out the unclean, unworthy, and so forth. And therefore it sheds light on the madness and revolt of the unwanted.
  1. Burning Through Vengeance: This is a straight up rebel song. A certain arrogant fuck you to a society that rejects you, but you still know that you know better than them. So instead you’ll bide your time and watch them hilariously screw themselves over.
  1. Reaper: As the title suggests, an end of the line type song. In a certain way captures the essence of[EVERTRAPPED] in terms of the inescapable event that is death.
  1. Embrace The End: This also goes more or less as the title suggests. This is another song for the apocalypse but more at the actual hour of the end itself. A look at almost coming to terms with the fact that it was likely the fault of humanity and embracing the acceptance of such evil.

“those looking for melodic death metal on the heavier end of the spectrum need apply here. The second that you hear the opening chords of “Arise from the Ashes,” you’ll know exactly what [Evertrapped] is going for… a testament to some solid writing chops, particularly in the very traveled waters that the band is catering to. Those looking to sample a few tracks should check out the melodic leanings of “Lethal District” or ominous riffs of “Reaper.” – Dead Rhetoric

“After getting your socks blown off by the opener you only get a couple of seconds of rest before ‘Underneath the deep’ unleashes its fury at full force.” – Dutch Metal Maniac

“Listening to this one it feels like Lamb of God meets At The Gates or perhaps what I mean is this is what LoG would sound like as a melo-deth band. The musicianship is on par with any that you consider the best…Vocalist James Brookes has amazing pipes bouncing from cleans to death metal growls to slightly black metal screeches (not high pitched or I’d be OUT!)…Do yourself a favor and put this on your “To Buy” list, trust me you want this one!” – They Demons Be Scribblin

“These guys are real pros and it shows!” – The Blood Shed

“Evertrapped, and as they lay their claim as one of the front runners of melodic death metal in all of the land” – Bucketlist Music Reviews

“Raise your horns to Evertrapped!” – Metal Reviews

“Something Epic!” – Musik Universe

“Once again, hypnotic…” – Ondes Chocs
