EPK – Another Demon – As Above So Below (2026) (Ragebreed Records/ Earache Distro)

Publicist – Jon Asher – jon[@]ashermediarelations[.]com

“As Above, So Below is really us pulling together everything we love about metal and putting it into one record, but doing it in a way that feels true to our own brand of New York City thrash. Ripping guitar riffs, powerful vocals, and devastating drums all come together to define the sound, while still leaving room for atmosphere, dynamics, and the different influences that shaped us along the way.” – Frank Tosi – Another Demon

About The EP Artwork:

Back when the band first started, Frank built a strong working relationship with artist Moises Alves of Hellforge Metal Art in Brazil. Since then, Moises has become an integral part of the band’s identity. We often refer to him as our honorary fifth member, as nearly every visual element tied to Another Demon has been created by him in one way or another. Drawing direct inspiration from the band’s lyrics and music, Moises has developed artwork that not only reflects the songs’ tone but also helps shape and define the band’s visual identity, giving Another Demon a distinct look that aligns with its New York City Thrash branding. Evil, Gritty, and unmistakably Metal!

About The EP (LYRICALLY & MUSICALLY):

As Above, So Below is a dark and aggressive record built on heavy riffing, fast pacing, and a strong sense of atmosphere. Musically, it stays rooted in thrash metal, but pulls in elements of death metal and dynamic shifts to keep things intense and engaging from start to finish. Lyrically, the album explores themes of horror, punishment, inner conflict, and duality, drawing from classic horror imagery, occult concepts, and darker reflections on human nature. It is meant to feel both chaotic and controlled, giving the listener a full experience rather than just a collection of songs.

Track by Track:

1. Reduced to Ash leans into horror-driven imagery inspired by the cult classic film “The Evil Dead,” pairing fast riffs with a relentless feel.

2. Deaf Gods explores the collapse of one’s faith and the dangers that can be caused through mental instability, driven by tight structure and intensity.

3. Skull Vessel dives into ritualistic and occult themes with a darker and more atmospheric approach.

4. Drawn and Quartered focuses on brutality and paints a picture of the infamous historical punishment, with sharp, aggressive riffing and a punishing pace.

5. War March delivers an evil, commanding, and atmospheric feel, centred around power, control, and destruction.

6. The title track As Above, So Below ties everything together with themes of duality and existence, combining aggression with a more expansive and atmospheric sound to close the record with weight and purpose.

STORY ANGLES / FUN FACTS ABOUT THE BAND:

1. Max Capshaw began his career in the New York hardcore scene, stepping in as a touring drummer for Sick Of It All during their early rise following their debut album. Though his time with the band was brief, it placed him at the center of a defining moment in the development of New York hardcore.

2. In 2025, Another Demon took on a unique role performing as Prime Evil Tribulation in support of Andy Eichorn, bringing a different dimension of their sound and presence to the stage. That year, the band appeared at major regional events, including the Rock Fantasy 39th Annual Music Festival and the Rage of Armageddon Festival in August, further solidifying their growing reputation in the Northeast.

3. While the experience was a powerful and memorable chapter for the band, the project has since come to a close due to health concerns for Mr Eichorn. Although it was an opportunity the band valued greatly, it also contributed to delays in their recording schedule. Another Demon is now fully refocused on their next release, which is currently targeted for late 2026.

4. At the Rock Fantasy 39th Anniversary Festival, Frank Tosi performed both the Another Demon set and the Prime Evil Tribulation set while playing with a broken finger on his fretting hand, a testament to the band’s mindset and commitment to delivering no matter the circumstances. The show must go on!

5. Jun Takeshita’s style is shaped by both sides of the world. He came up in the Japanese thrash scene in the late 80s and later brought that foundation to New York, blending that precision and intensity with the raw edge of the Northeast metal scene. It gives his playing a sharp, aggressive feel, with a unique character that stands out right away.

6. Dave English brings more than just performance experience to Another Demon. He is also an instructor at School of Rock in Clark, where he works with developing musicians across multiple disciplines. That background adds another layer to his playing, combining technical precision with a deeper understanding of rhythm, structure, and dynamics that translates directly to the band’s sound.

7. Another Demon is currently working toward their next full-length release, projected for late 2026, and while details are being kept close to the chest, the band has hinted at a major surprise. The upcoming record will feature a standout guest musician in a significant role, adding a new dimension to the band’s sound and giving listeners a hint at just how far things are starting to move to the next level.

Another Demon is built on the foundation of heavy riffing, relentless thrash energy, and moments of dark atmosphere that cut just as deep as the aggression itself. Each member brings a distinct history and voice, forming a band that feels both seasoned and dangerous.

Max Capshaw — Bass / Vocals
At the forefront of Another Demon is Max Capshaw, a veteran of the New York hardcore scene whose presence defines the band’s raw intensity. From early days behind the kit with Sick Of It All to playing with Murphy’s Law, Burn, and as a founding member of H2O, Max brings decades of experience and authenticity. Now stepping into the role of frontman, his delivery is commanding and unfiltered—anchoring the band’s thrash assault with grit, weight, and undeniable attitude.

Frank Tosi — Lead Guitar
The architect behind Another Demon’s sound, Frank Tosi, drives the band with a focused vision of modern thrash—tight, aggressive, and riff-forward. His playing is rooted in precision and structure, delivering sharp, driving rhythms while weaving in darker, atmospheric elements that give the music depth. His return to music was intentional and fully realised, shaping the band into a cohesive and powerful force.

Jun Takeshita — Lead Guitar
Jun Takeshita brings a distinct international edge, fusing 80s thrash influence with the intensity of Japanese punk and metal. His style blends speed, melody, and technical precision, strengthening the band’s dual-guitar attack while adding a unique voice that expands the sonic landscape beyond straight aggression.

Dave English — Drums
Behind the kit, Dave English is the engine driving Another Demon forward. His playing is powerful, precise, and dynamic—equally capable of high-velocity thrash and complex rhythmic movement. With a background across multiple genres, he adds both control and explosive energy, locking the band into a groove that feels relentless yet alive.

Together, Another Demon delivers a modern thrash sound defined by heavy riffing, tight execution, and a balance between pure aggression and immersive atmosphere, music that hits hard and lingers long after the last note.
