EPK – Sterilizing The Deceased – Nothing (2025)

Publicist – Jon Asher – jon[@]ashermediarelations[.]com

For fans of As Blood Runs Black, Chelsea Grin, Aegaeon, Vildhjarta, Lorna Shore

“This EP has the real and raw emotion behind it, unlike some other previous pieces of work, as we were finding our sound. What I want people to take away from this album after listening to it is a personal reflection on oneself. Never straying too far from your path by getting lost in the darkness. Also, realizing other people in this world are dealing with the same pain you might be experiencing, and it’s okay to feel like that, just know there is always a way out back into the light.” – Angelo Vespucci – Vocals – Sterilizing The Deceased

“Here’s a brand new single for the Deathcore fans out there. If you like bands like Chelsea Grin and I Declare War, chances are you may dig this. Sterilizing The Deceased is an up-and-coming band hailing from Cleveland, Ohio. They’re known for bringing the heavy and that’s exactly what they do with this new single. It’s called “Forgotten” and it certainly packs a punch with the weight of its breakdowns and the delivery of some melodic riffs. Check it out and show the dudes some support if you dig it.” – The Circle Pit (2015)

About The Album Artwork:

It’s basically a demon forcing someone to drink the potion inside the chalice as the person is resisting the demon, holding a knife to its neck, trying to get it to stop. Representing fighting addiction and the hold it keeps on you.

About the album as a whole (LYRICALLY & MUSICALLY):

Drug Addiction and Suicide. It’s a personal tape to me because I have personally dealt with both, so the EP is a representation of a Fiction/ Non-Fiction story about myself.

Track by Track (LYRICALLY & MUSICALLY):

1. Recovery, reflecting, and wondering where things went wrong and why things had to change.

2. Self Meditated, slowly losing my mind and who I once was.

3. Nothing, I can’t take it anymore, and theoretically kill myself.

4. Unconscious, stuck in purgatory with nothing but my thoughts.

5. Awake, being brought back to life and everything coming full circle, realizing I am worth something.

Sterilizing The Deceased is a Melodic Deathcore band from Cleveland, Ohio, known for their bone-crushing breakdowns, blends of intense sweeps, and catchy riffs that will get any metal fan to start banging their heads or even hitting a two-step in the pit. Formed in 2014 by Vocalist Angelo Vespucci, STD (Sterilizing The Deceased) has been making a lot of motion in the Cleveland Scene over the last 10 years; playing multiple Summer Slaughter fests and other shows with huge acts such as Cannibal Corpse, The Black Dahlia Murder, Dying Fetus, Lorna Shore, Oceano, Signs of the Swarm, The Faceless, Slaughter To Prevail & Rings of Saturn. STD’s new EP “Nothing”, releasing August 1st, 2025, is easily the best piece of material this band has made with such raw power and emotion diving into deep topics such as Drug Addiction and Suicide. For anyone who has dealt with or known someone who has dealt with either of those, this EP is for you.
