Bio:

GERALD PETER was born in Vienna, Austria in 1986, a passionate keyboardist, seaboard player, producer, composer, and technology enthusiast. He was on tour with Cirque du Soleil – VOLTA in 2017 as a show band musician and was a former ROLI seaboard specialist. He has also previously released two albums with his bands Circle of Illusion and Inspirational Corner. His latest project ‘Incremental Changes – Part One’ is the first of a trilogy where he combines all his passions, not only showcasing his ability to compose, produce and perform music on all of his instruments, but creating the video and coding MIDI reactive visuals that respond to all the notes being played.

He was performing as showband musician for Cirque du Soleil – VOLTA, Gerald appeared as a keyboardist in a variety of live performances e.g. with his own bands’ Circle of Illusion, Inspirational Corner. As a former ROLI product specialist and active seaboard performer, Gerald always tries to think ‘out of the box’ and pursues innovative and creative ways of making music. He also performed with the seaboard at the NAMM show in California in 2019, he was performing with ‘The Gerald Peter Project’ and special guest Camille Bigeaut on drums at the Hilton NAMM performance stage. He also performed ROLI Seaboard workshops at music exhibitions all over Europe.

Gerald Peter’s passion is to create and compose music. He is the composer, keyboardist, and producer for the prog rock opera concept album ‘Jeremias’ with his band Circle of Illusion as well as all the album ‘Chameleon Lab Explosion’ with his band Inspirational Corner. Both works feature a wide variety of styles ranging from Prog Rock, Jazz-Funk-Fusion, Pop, Soul over Cinematic Film Music to Dubstep. He took also part in the international ‘CINE Film Scoring Competition’ in 2014, where the composition he created for a short animation movie was ranked in the top 12.

Gerald never studied music at a conservatory. Instead, his drive for music was inspired by artists like Dream Theater, Danny Elfman, Hiromi Uehara, RATM, Tower of Power, George Duke, Tigran Hamasyan and many more. He took private lessons from various classical and jazz pianists for several years starting at the age of 10. In his early 20s, he also attended a variety of music workshops including Berklee’s Umbria Jazz Clinics and Hollywood Music Workshop in Vienna, with Harry Potter soundtrack orchestrator Conrad Pope.

Gerald holds a Masters Degree in Multimedia and Software Development from which stems his passion for technology and computer graphics. Back in 2009, he coded, together with S. Zapotocky, a real-time MIDI visualizer program called ‘MIDI.live’ , which also was used by Jordan Rudess on stage during his Dream Theater concerts. In his latest music project video project and EP ‘Incremental Changes – Part One’ he also incorporated his own MIDI reactive visuals, which he programmed visualizing real-time MIDI data both from keyboard and seaboard.

Gerald Peter raised public awareness in the prog rock scene back in 2013 with the concept album ‘Jeremias – Foreshadow of Forgotten Realms’ by his 8-piece band Circle of Illusion.  In this album, he played keyboards and composed and produced the music. It was listed on Jordan Rudess’ (keyboardist of Dream Theater) featured artist site and was also ranked on the 2013 top albums lists of music magazines: progarchives.com – musicinbelgium.net – myglobalmind.com

In 2015, he released his debut album Chameleon Lab Explosion along with his 4-piece band Inspirational Corner, where he incorporated more funk and jazzy elements to his music. This creation received a number of positive reviews from German music magazines Legacy, Hoerspiegel.de, Testmania.de, Ragazzi Music, etc.

Bio:

Constantine was born & raised in Athens, Greece. At the age of 12, he began learning to play the guitar by copying songs from his record collection of his favorite bands such as Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Judas Priest & Exodus. As a young teenager, he soon started to evolve more on his study & approach on the guitar by getting influenced from guitar heroes like Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen, Marty Friedman, Michael Romeo & Zakk Wylde.

Constantine’s playing over the years has evolved & ranges from shredding riffs to soaring solos with memorable twin guitar melodic harmonies, fluid tapping-arpeggio lines, wide vibrato, and melodic pentatonics.

Despite the young of his age, time and work had proved that Constantine’s flexibility is undoubted both in performances but in compositions in different genres/styles of music. Constantine’s efforts over the years have taken many forms including playing in Nightrage (2007), Descending (2008-2012), Mystic Prophecy (2008-2012), Nightfall (2010-2013), Primal Fear (2012).

His first solo album ‘Shredcore’ was released in 2010 and the follow-up ‘Aftermath’ will be released in May of 2019.

STRIKER Are ‘On The Run’ With New Music Video + ‘Summer of Shred’ North American Tour Dates

Sixth Studio Album “Play To Win” Out Now!

As STRIKER continue their ‘Summer of Shred’ tour across North America that recently wrapped up its first leg with DEATH ANGEL earlier this May, the Canadian masters continue their road adventures with upcoming dates in Canada and USA with ANVIL, STEEL PANTHER, HOLY GRAIL and BEWITCHER (all dates listed below). And before they continue being ‘On The Run’ hitting cities across the continent, the band is excited to reveal their new music video in support of their latest sixth studio album “Play To Win” released this past October via their independent label Record Breaking Records.

The band explains the video:

“As an independent band we are constantly pushing ourselves to be better an go farther, ‘On The Run’ is about just that, always moving forward with everything in your life. With this video, we took on some new challenges with our director Lindsay Robinson in programming our own light show and making all of the visual effects ourselves with very minimal computer graphics. We love how it turned out and we are excited to share it. Shred!”

Watch ‘On The Run’ at the following link: https://youtu.be/9j5uASFLkHw

Champions in blending classic heavy metal, hard rock, and 80’s hair metal, Canadian shredders STRIKER‘s sixth studio album “Play To Win” features 10 fist pounding shredtacular anthems produced by the band plus mixed and mastered by Hendrik Udd (Firewind, Powerwolf, Hammerfall, Delain). The album follows their 2017 self-titled full length that the band supported with tours across Europe and North America with Sonata Arctica, Dark Tranquility, and Warbringer along with festival appearances at 70,000 Tons of Metal, Bang Your Head Festival (Germany) and more to add to their almost 1000 shows performed in their decade-plus career. That fifth studio album also garnered them a nomination from Canada’s JUNO awards, the country’s highest music prize, along with wins at the Edmonton Music Awards and Western Canadian Awards.

Guitarist Tim Brown comments on “Play To Win”:“Play to Win: if you want to win you have to play the game. Find the rules and break them. This is our 6th album and 3rd independent release. If we followed the rules and listened to the industry people we’d have gone absolutely nowhere. Play To Win is about listening to yourself, following your own path, and playing that 5th ace hidden in your sleeve. This album is designed to light a fire under your ass and get you moving, and we made sure to get the most modern, ear melting sounds possible. It’s all about where metal is going, not where it has been, and this is our soundtrack to success.”

Album CD order, stream and download available on www.Striker-Metal.com, iTunes, Amazon and Spotify.Music Video – “Head First” can be viewed here.Lyric video – “Heart of Lies” can be viewed here.

“Play to Win, which might be their most balanced effort yet. It’s their most catchy, too: the likelihood you’ll be singing along with every song before they finish is very, very high.” – Metal Sucks

“expertly combined killer arena rock choruses with well-done, cleaner verses.” – Metal Injection

“Six albums in six years. That is something almost unheard of, even in the modern era of production that considerably lessens the time needed to record and mix albums. Striker always seems to provide a new album right around when I start to wonder, “Hey, I wonder what Striker is up to?”. PLAY TO WIN is the band’s 6th LP and to my ears, one of their best. Rest assured, the band has not altered their sound. This is still classic metal, mixed with modern elements that continues to leave all pretenders in a cloud of choking dust.” – Metal Rules

“You can hear influences ranging from Dokken to Metallica on Play to Win, and it’s all done with masterful songwriting, performances and production. This is a slick, aggressively-mixed record that drips with excitement and replayability… Striker have produced their best record since City of Gold, and all fans of straight-up hard rock and metal need to own this album.” – Heavy Music HQ

“Striker have knocked this one out of the park and into the stratosphere. You’d be hard-pressed to find a catchier slice of fine cheddar this year, and I’d highly recommend it.” – New Noise Mag

0 Heavy Music Headquarters – Concrete Funeral – Ultimum Judicium (Self) – “The Canadian death/thrash brigade Concrete Funeral have a good grasp of the harsh side of things on their debut album Ultimum Judicium. Some very vicious sounding vocals atop the music matches it quite well. Abrasive riffing fits well within either the death or thrash genres. The music works well in all its caustic glory as the songs glide by with memorable efficiency and a rapid pace, but are allowed to have their impact implanted quite nicely… Fans of bands like early Kreator and Slayer will get a kick out of Concrete Funeral’s work. There is a nastiness that makes it more than just a typical thrash release.”

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – May 30, 2019

For fans of Thy Art Is Murder, Whitechapel, Despised Icon, August Burns Red, Parkway Drive

Return To High School Angst With DEATH NOTE SILENCE’s New Video ‘Forgotten’

Canada’s DEATH NOTE SILENCE is hitting hard with their latest video, for the track ‘Forgotten’. This high impact, full throttle music video is complete with deep gutturals, accented with well-timed breakdowns and clean guitar harmonies that prove DEATH NOTE SILENCE is the next up and coming band in the underground Canadian metal scene.

‘Forgotten’ is off the self-titled EP that was released October 18, 2018, which followed the 2016 album “Code of Silence”. The band explains the meaning behind the song:

“This song is talking about someone put aside in high school. Someone that went through it, had it the hard way but made his way through it. You can feel the hate, unity and a sense of accomplishment.”

Moving forward, DEATH NOTE SILENCE provides a massive wall of sound that is more mature lyrically, but retains a touch of teen angst and is energetic and heavily complimented with gang vocals that engage the audience.

Fans of Despised Icon, Breakdown of Sanity and Whitechapel will find enjoyable similarities between those bands and the new upcomers DEATH NOTE SILENCE.
