SIGIL successfully blends classic Swedish death metal with American crust resulting in catchy, crushing chaos. Keeping true to the old school faith, their debut album ‘Kingdom Of The Grave’ is unrelenting in its death metal attack, which also incorporates raw D-beat aggression complimented by slashing solo’s and throat-ripping vocals. For fans of Black Breath, Carnage, Dismember, Entombed, Entrails, Fatalist, Fleshcrawl, Gatecreeper, Grave, His Hero Is Gone, Nihilist and Tragedy

Vocalist / guitarist Alex Citrone comments on the album:

“Kingdom of the Grave” is pure, raw death metal with an explosive energy to it. It has themes of the occult, suicide, police brutality and a dystopian future. Fans of the old and new school will find something to love.”

“Hailing from Texas is Sigil and with their new record Kingdom of The Grave they provide you some filthy face ripping death metal. This release contains eight total songs that are as heavy as you can imagine and just as head stomping as you can imagine. From track to track you can expect nothing less than destructive, headbanging and intense tunes for the next thirty plus minutes.” – Cadaver Garden

“This is definitely for fans who like heavy, crunchy riffs, and throat-shredding vocals.” – Yell! Magazine

“Lots of insistent riffs merge with brutally-precise rhythms to make you wonder, just how powerful must this band sound in the live arena ? Hopefully we’ll get the chance to find out, one day. In the meantime, be sure to play this loud and enjoy the chaos as it takes the place apart !” – Fear and Loathing Fanzine

“Encased in a raw, gritty sound that instantly takes our minds back to the Slowly We Rots and Altars Of Madnesses of yore – Texan death metal outfit Sigil are here to pummel us. “Kingdom Of The Grave” is their first full-length release on the hilariously-named Horror Pain Gore Death Productions – and it succeeds on so many levels: primarily by taking the old school sound of classic DM acts like Massacre and Morbid angel – and making it relevant here in the 21st century…For me, this upcoming USA quartet have actually released the death metal album of the year so far – easily beating out Obituary and Immolation. Kingdom Of The Grave isn’t breaking boundaries – but everything about it sums up why we love old school death metal so much.” – The Metal Observer
