  • · Adrian Pain & The Dead Sexy

The songs on this, 5 track, EP are brilliantly executed and magnificently preformed. There are no mixed messages on this album -they are perfectly laid out and explained. The songs all move with a power and drive that is both spine tingling and soul expanding… and even a little frightening at times. It’s amazing on numerous levels!

Overall, “Mixed Messages (EP)” is a brilliant album from an amazing band. It’s worth grabbing with both hands.

Back From India Tour! ALL ELSE FAILS Unleash New Track ‘Beneath The Waves’

Music Video ‘The Sons of Plenty’

New EP ‘The Forever Lie’ Out Feb 17th

Canadians ALL ELSE FAILS are back from their first international tour of India where they performed at the Unmaad Fest and the Alcheringa Fest. Set to unleash their new EP ‘The Forever Lie’ on February 17th, AEF is streaming their second single ‘Beneath The Waves’ for fans to check out.

Vocalist / guitarist Barret Klesko had this to say about the track:

“When we were writing The Forever Lie, Beneath The Waves was the turning point in the process, it was the song that really got us excited about the disc. It’s heavy, but its super melodic, its got an ultra catchy chorus hook, which is followed by some odd time signature heaviness, and it has a ton of variety. It just captures and sums up the album really well. We always try to keep our albums sounding different from each other, and this one to me sounds like nothing we have done in the past.”

Want to know how ALL ELSE FAILS’ tour of India went… Check out their tour diary on Decibel Magazine. Vocalist/guitarist Barrett Klesko shares pics and words from the first half of their travels. Read it at http://decibelmagazine.com/blog/2017/2/2/canadian-band-goes-to-india-takes-lots-of-pictures

ALL ELSE FAILS’ forthcoming EP ‘The Forever Lie’ is the follow up to their 2013 award winning EP ‘Fucktropolis’. The new EP continues the Edmonton, AB band’s aggressively dark brand of metal that breaks the traditional ideals of their genre. Drawing comparisons to bands like Killswitch Engage, In Flames and Of Mice & Men, the band infuses their music with a variety of elements that includes experimental, classical, synth lines plus spoken word sampling to accent a unique blend of heavy as hell screams and shiver inducing clean vocals.

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – February 10, 2017

For fans of Alexisonfire, Deftones, Of Mice & Men

Out Now! Adrian Pain & The Dead Sexy Streaming Full EP ‘Mixed Messages’

Out now as of February 10th, Toronto, ON’s Adrian Pain & The Dead Sexy unleash their new EP ‘Mixed Messages’ to continue their solid chemistry of an ‘Allcore’ metal sound with emotionally stirring and socially conscious lyrics.

“We like to call what we do ‘Allcore’ … To break it down as far as metal sub-genres go, I think what best describes us would be a blend of Progressive & Nu-metal, with Post-Hardcore & Metalcore …or NuMetalcore if you’d like!” says vocalist Adrian Pain.

‘Mixed Messages’ is a marriage of Adrian Pain’s solo endeavours and The Dead Sexy’s band work to follow EPs ‘Picture Day At Night School’ (2014) and their debut ‘The First One Is Free’ (2013) along with Pain’s solo full length ‘Love Letters & Suicide Notes’ (2012).

Pain describes ‘Mixed Messages’:

“This release is like the gateway drug to metal and heavier music in general! We appeal to a very wide range of musical tastes so guys can play us for their girlfriends, and girls can play us for the guys. If you identify another way, you can play us for whomever you’d like.  If any negative response comes out of it, it’ll be the fans that expect every song to get heavier with each effort. What I hope they notice is the constant evolution of our sound. The music itself is getting more and more diverse and progressive, while the song structures are also evolving into bigger, more complex arrangements. I want everyone that listens to this record to feel an emotional connection. I want people to relate to, and hear the MESSAGE in each track.”

Twittter – @AdrianPain @TheDeadSexyAbout:In 2010, vocalist and songwriter Adrian Pain endured events that would have left most men shattered and broken. Unwilling to take prescribed medications for his severe depression, he found inner strength in the form of the lyrics and music that sprang from his suffering. Together with his son and drummer Ethan Clark, formed a new family in the shape of their band, Adrian Pain & The Dead Sexy. Adrian describes their music as “torment and triumph, sonic seduction.” They have transcended their initial influences of Deftones, Alexisonfire, and Of Mice & Men, to a genre of metal they have given a name of its own. “We like to call what we do ‘Allcore’ … To break it down as far as metal sub-genres go, I think what best describes us would be a blend of Progressive & Nu-metal, with Post-Hardcore & Metalcore …or NuMetalcore if you’d like!”

Just as they deliver shock and awe on record, Adrian Pain & The Dead Sexy‘s live performance is a constant energy exchange. Their sets have a life of their own. One minute the whole room can be bouncing, the next there may be a pit, or there can be a complete hush over the crowd while they catch their breath and listen intently as the band engages them and the fans interact back with them. This showmanship has lead Adrian Pain & The Dead Sexy to blow up the Toronto music scene, headlining major clubs such as Sound Academy, Virgin Mobile Mod Club, Hard Rock Café for Hard Rock Rising, Bovine Sex Club, The Rivoli, Lee’s Palace, and The Horseshoe Tavern along with locally supporting touring bands such as Mushroomhead, Wednesday 13, Eyes Set To Kill, Anvil, Killer Dwarfs, Sid Wilson / Slipknot After Party, Die Mannequin, Carol Pope, Sumo Cyco, Dance Laurie Dance, Castle and more. The band has also taken a foot hold of the Southern Ontario touring circuit, performing in cities surrounding the greater Toronto area and festivals such as the Ottawa Field Fest, Landmark Events, Canadian Music Week, Kitchener Music Festival to name a few.

“Adrian Pain & The Dead Sexy is Toronto and Canada’s very own Post-Hardcore / Nu Metal Hybrid; a band that melds every splintered off sub-genre you can imagine into one, stand alone, Rock sound. This is sonic seduction delivered with a serrated edge image. Sounds Like: Alexisonfire in dream” – The Scene Magazine

“Toronto, Ontario all-core rockers Adrian Pain & The Dead Sexy were so far ahead of their own game with Night School that I have a hard time keeping the volume turned down much below blow-my-fucking-eardrums-out every and anytime I listen! For those of you who think rock n roll is dead, Adrian Pain & The Dead Sexy would like to have a talk with you!” – My Indie Music Blog – Top Indie Albums/EPs of 2014

“Just treated my ears to The Dead Sexy’s Picture Day at Night School and it was exactly that, a true treat! Get this album, you’ll be delighted you did!… It’s just out n out sexy!” – TheRockAsylum

“any fan of hard rock or heavy metal would be proud to have this album in his/her collection. The fullness of the sound on the album makes it hard to believe that this is just a three-piece outfit…Trigon seems to have picked out the best parts of bands they like, smashed them together, and crafted songs that just work on every level.” – Yell! Mag

“a vaguely punk rock, slightly angsty and at times beautifully chaotic rock album that will fit into virtually any collection.” – Canadian Beats

“There is a chaotic and personal magic on this album that moves your mind, body and soul from places of safety to places of danger in an instant. I’d liken it to being at a family BBQ just before WW3 breaks out -it’s all fun and games and Armageddon….“Fed Up” is a brilliant Rock album that exquisitely produced and bloody well executed. It’ll fit in with any and all Metal collections. Get yours now!” – 925 Rebellion

“The Great White North is known for snow, Molson beer, and hockey, eh. Now we might have to add another pretty good thing, Trigon.” – National Rock Review

There is something special and magical about the three-piece band (often called a power trio, and there is indeed, special power in three!). You need only think of such bands as Venom, Cream, Whiplash, Taste, Motorhead, Bathory and Celtic Frost for proof. For in a power trio there is a purity of essence, the band’s vision honed to razor-like intensity.

TRIGON are inspired by artists as diverse as Volbeat, Crobot, David Wilcox, System of a Down, Nirvana, Megadeth, Black Sabbath and Slayer, yet already they have forged their own unique sound.

Bassist and vocalist Emanuel Viau explains the origin of TRIGON’s unique name. ‘We wanted something catchy that would be easy to remember. It had to represent the number 3 because we are a three-piece band. So to us, Trigon means 3 in 1 like a triangle and that explains our logo; the Trigon beast with 6 eyes.’

Bassist and vocalist Emanuel Viau sums up TRIGON’s sound as “Rock and roll ain’t dead. Lemmy would be proud!”

He says that their upcoming album ‘Fed UP’ is about ‘living in the millennium, obstacles, day-to-day challenges, high and low points of life, religion, the corrupt world we live in, and being brainwashed by our leaders.’

Emanuel says the album will grow on fans with its ‘crafty riffs, good lyrics and good beats. We wanted to make them feel like they are the ones who wrote the songs!’

Emanuel sums up TRIGON’s intentions. ‘Fans can expect a lot more out of Trigon. We are just getting started. The dedication to our fans is always there…they are number 1 to us! We are a positive band hoping to reach out to people and give them songs they can relate to. At our live shows they can expect maximum energy and excitement. We aim to make the people at the back come to the front!’

TRIGON’s debut album ‘Fed Up’ was released on March 24, 2017 and available on iTunes, Spotify, Bandcamp and all major online retailers.
