About:

Loud, unrelenting high voltage crust and roll. 2015 proves to be an exciting year for the Fredericton’s ambitious hell raisers Hard Charger. The Trio will embark on their first ever US tour which will see them play 40 plus shows in as many days. They will be heading south in support of their latest release, the 2014 split LP with Fargo North Dakota’s SOTOS. The album which was released on North Carolina label Bigger Boat Records has gotten favorable reviews on both sides of the border. “The riffs are sick and the headbanging is involuntary” says Los Angeles fanzine Razorcake. Also on the plate is a follow a up release. The band has been busy working on their third full length album which they hope to have out by the end of the year. “The new album is going to kill. It’s going to be the same sort of crusty rock and roll we’re known for but we’ve spent a lot more time crafting these songs than we have on any of our previous releases. It’s a whole new level of Hard Charger” says guitarist Dave Cook.

Since their inception in late 2006 Hard Charger has accomplished a lot. They didn’t start off playing local shows like most bands. Their first show was on their first tour and they have hit the road hard ever since. Playing hundreds of shows in every province in Canada and over a dozen countries in Europe on their four trips over seas. They are truly one of New Brunswicks biggest musical exports. Their first release was 2008’s self titled CD on Winnipeg’s No List Records. That album was soon after released in Europe on French label CounterAct Records. In the same year Nerve Hold Records released the Bombs Will Reign 7” and Capitol Kill Records released a split 7” with Ironfist. The second full length album, also released on No List Records, was 2011’s “This Machine is Driving” released on LP, CD, and cassette tape format. In 2013 they released the Chrome Lord 7” on Primeval Sounds and their own label Waste Of Time Records. The Chrome Lord EP was also released on cassette tape by Ukrainian label Voices From Inside Records with two additional tracks which also appeared on Doomsday Machine Records 20 anniversary 4×7” box set.

With a plethora of releases and shows under their belt Hard Charger show no signs of slowing down any time soon.

Hard Charger is Tom, Dave, Shawn.

ALMAH Reveal Details For 5th Album ‘E.V.O’; Artwork, Track Listing, Release Date

Brazilian metallers ALMAH led by ex-Angra singer Edu Falaschi are proud to announce they will be releasing their new  album entitled ‘E.V.O’ on September 23rd worldwide via Pride & Joy Music (EU), Test Your Metal (US/MX/CA) and King Records (Japan).

‘E.V.O’ is the 5th studio album from ALMAH and was recorded in São Paulo, Brazil at IMF studios by Tito Falaschi plus mixed and mastered by Damien Rainaud (Fear Factory, Dragonforce, Baby Metal, etc) at Mix Unlimited in Los Angeles, California. The release is a concept album based on the evolution of people’s mind and soul during the so-called AGE OF AQUARIUS – the new era that the world is about to live. The author of the concept, Edu Falaschi, touches different subjects connected to the main idea, creating very positive lyrics for the album’s atmosphere.

Musically ‘E.V.O’ brings a fresh and powerful sound with the typical modern and heavy ALMAH touch, but this time one will be able to realize that it also has a direct connection with the Angra’s “Rebirth” (the first Angra album with Edu Falaschi’s voice). The compositions are a pleasant travel between contemporary rock, modern power and prog metal. The vocal lines on ‘E.V.O’ are very powerful, classic and the vocals have a higher pitch compared to previous ALMAH’s records. It’s very melodic, clean and into the bel canto style.

1 – Age of Aquarius (7:13)
2 – Speranza (4:55)
3 – The Brotherhood (4:41)
4 – Innocence (4:35)
5 – Higher (5:09)
6 – Infatuated (4:05)
7 – Pleased To Meet You (4:24)
8 – Final Warning (4:13)
9 – Indigo (3:46)
10 – Corporate War (4:19)
11 – Capital Punishment (4:00)
Album Length: 51:26

Almah is:

Edu Falaschi – Vocals

Marcelo Barbosa – Guitars

Raphael Dafras – Bass

Diogo Mafra – Guitars

Pedro Tinello – Drums

0 Cadaver Garden – The Apex – Underbelly

  • August 10, 2016
  • by Asher
  • · The Apex

In their newest release titled Underbelly, The Apex brings the heavy by the truckload and leaves you flattened in the concrete….This EP has a terrifying neck snapping ability that it uses at will. This is about as loud and abrasive as you can get and this is a release that you have to play as loud as you can until your ears bleed. The sound that The Apex provides you with is massive and leaves your bones rattling and bruises your brain beyond recognition. Underbelly has an unhinged aggression about it that makes it lethal to whoever is listening.

“…hails from further out in left-field with more peaks and valleys than the heads-down-tits-up sludgy rock they fire at you from the stage…these dudes have a 90s alt-rock edge grinding against their love affair with riffs that crash bolts of lightning into stacks of Orange amps in delivering a rumbling calling card of hellacious noise.” – Decibel

“In 2012, the unpredictability and wickedness of Matterhorn and the gritty violence of the companion release The Royal We established the group as one to watch closely; Dog Years confirms that attention was well worth it.” – Exclaim
“The Great Sabatini are not just playing by-the-numbers sludge, but rather mixing things up, and transposing their punk attitude into new forms of musical expression beyond what you might be expecting.” – The Sleeping Shaman

Since forming in Montreal in late 2007, The Great Sabatini have released four eps, three full length albums, and logged seemingly endless tour dates around North America and Europe. Their music is an aggressive mixture of noise rock, doom, hardcore, and metal wrapped up in a burly sludge aesthetic. They’ll fearlessly employ any musical device if it suits their needs, from standard pop song structures and hooks to utterly tuneless experimentation or any degree between the two. All four band members handle vocal duties. They play loud, and with conviction.

Their latest full length album “Dog Years” (2014) was the result of years of accumulated experience writing, performing and recording together. It was recorded in Hamilton by Sean Pearson (Cursed, Shallow North Dakota) and self-released by the band in Canada on digital and vinyl and released by Solar Flare Records on vinyl for Europe and USA.

Show Dates:
Aug 19 – Montreal, QC – Casa Del Popolo

About: Godstopper

For fans of Melvins, Failure, YOB, Torche, Big Business

“There’s a lot of compositional bells and whistles on deck here, from a chugging chorus riff that feels like it’s perpetually interrupting itself to a left-turn Thin Lizzy guitar lick that King Buzzo would surely appreciate. But the part that’ll really suck you in is the sublime vocal harmonies that frontman Mike Simpson layers over the song like fishnet over a boulder.” – Stereogum

“Like the best records by Today Is the Day, Swans and Harvey Milk, all of which I hear in Godstopper’s jarring songwriting…We talk a lot about making extreme music as cathartic for the music maker, but what the listener? I feel no more relieved for having heard Empty Crawlspace. In fact it’s psychically draining. And totally addictive, too. I’m not going to be able to sleep for a week.” – Metalsucks

“Somewhere between the Thunder-Pop of sparkly heavy-hitters Torche, the aggressive sludge of fellow Floridians Cavity and the awkward stop-start dream-logic quasi-operatic noise rock of Pony Express Record-era Shudder To Think lie Toronto’s Godstopper…What Matters is a tough record to describe, in some ways, as any comparisons I care to make are merely rough approximations used in an attempt to point you, the potential listener, in a certain direction, as far as preparing you for what to expect. However, the truth of it is that Godstopper sound exactly like Godstopper, and, really, how many bands these days can truly lay claim to such a thing?” – Sleeping Shaman

0 Maximum Volume Music – Howling Giant – Black Hole Space Wizard Part 1

If modern day Mastodon got together with Crobot, added some Monster Truck style Hammond Organ and Elder’s gift for writing something fuzzy and glorious, then to be honest, it’d probably sound a little like this.
