0 Dead Rhetoric – Celestial Ruin – Pandora (EP)

  • · Celestial Ruin

This Canadian act is sure to please a wide swath of fans on the melodic front…a strong EP that leaves the listener wanting just one or two more tracks. With the right push, Celestial Ruin should have little difficulty convincing the audiences of bands like Within Temptation, Nightwish, or even Evanescence.

As The Crow Flies is the debut album from A Rebel Few, and what a debut album it is. Each song are jammed with guitar riffs and licks some with higher energy than others but they still get the job done. The heavy Rock vocals from Chris Raposo right onto the excitement and energy from Guitars and Drums throughout the album.

New Noise Mag Premiere Montreal Prog Metal FRACTAL CYPHER ‘Lost’

Reveal Album Artwork and Track Listing For ‘The Human Paradox’

Teaming up with New Noise Magazine, Montreal prog metallers FRACTAL CYPHER are giving fans a taste of what’s to come with the premiere of their second single ‘Lost’ off their upcoming debut album ‘The Human Paradox’ set for a release on September 7th. The album is produced by Chris Donaldson (Cryptopsy, The Agonist, Beyond Creation, Neuraxis) and will be comprised of 9 songs, each hand picked and strategically chosen to best represent the living, breathing entity that is FRACTAL CYPHER.

“This track is the perfect balance between heaviness and softness, and it’s a track that truly unleashes the full sound of the band. I’d say it’s the most representative song of the record in terms of sound, composition and arrangements. It’s a song we enjoy to play and I think people will feel the same as we do. Play it loud!” comments vocalist Simon Lavoie.

To listen to ‘Lost’, please visit the following link:http://newnoisemagazine.com/song-premiere-fractal-cypher-lost/

FRACTAL CYPHER exists to captivate audiences with progressive instrumentals that cut through the mesmerizing vocals yet somehow evolving; each listen provides a new perspective. Straight out of the heart of Canada’s metal scene, these Montreal metallers constantly shift their compositions with seamless transitions and theatrical interludes to keep audiences on their toes. Since 2014, ex-Far From Reality members Simon Lavoie (vocals), Ludovick Daoust (keyboard), and Vincent Bruneau (guitar) have dedicated themselves to FRACTAL CYPHER.

The powerful quintet is just as versatile in their music as they are in their musical interests, darting between djent, death metal, and classic rock. Each song acts of their own volition almost taking control of the members and shaping a personality and energy not unlike a living entity. Ludovick is at the helm of songwriting, calculating and unlocking each melody and becoming the voice for each piece.

About:

Projekt F was founded in 2006 by Jonh M. Miller, lead singer and main composer of the band. Inspired by rock/industrial/metal music of the 90’s, Projekt F quickly made a name for themselves in the underground music scene of Montreal. Miller was joined by William Hicks (bass) in 2010, Simon Sayz (guitar) in 2013, and Fred Linx (drums) in 2014.

Their first EP named “0000” saw the light of day in 2009 with 500 physical copies made by the band being sold out in no time, and more than 1000 digital copies downloaded. Continuing to evolve in the Montreal Industrial scene, the band accumulated a large number of shows across the Province of Quebec and Ontario with their musical originality and their intensity on stage. In 2012, the band was invited to play alongside Combichrist at the biggest industrial music festival in Canada, Kinetik Festival, and a second time when Combichrist returned to Montreal. During the last few years they have shared the stage with international bands such as Motionless In White, Revolting Cocks, Angelspit, Nachtmar, Dope, Left Spine Down, Slaves on Dope, New Years Day, For Today, Ice Nine Kills and have played festivals and events in Canada and the United States.

Projekt F has also had the opportunity to do a performance of their song “Room 13” in a TV pilot called “Cause and Effect” (produced by Vaas Media). Their song “Oophorectomy” is also featured in a short movie called “Purple Love” (produced by Les films de la meute), featured at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival.

Projekt F released their fourth album in March 2016, ‘The Butterfly Effect’, to ongoing rave reviews.
