ACCURSED SPAWN Announce New Bassist, Summer Festival Dates

ACCURSED SPAWN has announced that 6-string, fretless bassist Weiyun Lu will be playing his first official dates with the band this summer in Ontario and Quebec, including stops at Grind Your Mind Open Air, Trailer Thrash Festival, and the third annual Oshawa Deathfest.

“We’ve all known Wei for some time now, having listened to his work in other bands like Argus Panoptes and Maou Mindu. We knew right away that Wei would bring a new, technical dynamic to the songwriting in Accursed Spawn. We are really excited to welcome him into the fold!” commented guitarist Adam Pell.

Bio: Accursed Spawn was formed in Ottawa in 2010 with one mission: turn raw aggression into music. The band mixes influences from old and new forms of extreme metal, resulting to date in a renown energetic live show, and a handful of recorded songs.

The band’s most recent release, 2014’s Putrid, shows another step in the Accursed Spawn’s ability to hone in on their chops and assault listeners with a wall of pounding drums, thundering vocals and wailing guitars.
