HOLLOW Announce Forthcoming Album ‘Mordrake’ Out May 30th; New Music Video ‘Landscape’

Conquering audiences across Québec and Ontario with their unique look and high-energy stage performances since their inception in 2009, Montreal, QC based melodic death metal band Hollow are proud to announce the official release of their debut full length ‘Mordrake’ set to be unleashed on May 30th. Produced at Uplift Studios by Kevin Jardine (Slaves On Dope) and co-produced by Dan Lauzon (Entropy) and Hollow, the debut is the follow up to the band’s 2010 EP ‘Cynoptic Eschaton’ and features a unique analogue approach towards extreme metal. Recorded without the use of any triggers, midi or copy/paste editing, the album showcases live off the floor performances that bring a breath of fresh air into an over-compressed and digital world of today’s recordings.

Formed when three Newfoundlanders crossed paths in the Canadian heavy metal capital with Ahmed Saad who hails from the Middle East, the injection of music immediately began to flow through their veins and M.E.C.H. metal was soon born.

In March of 2014 three-piece hip-hop/blues/folk-constellation Crows: released their debut album called “Remixes, Reboots and Alternative Versions”. “Remixes…” started out as just what it sounds like; a remix album. Using a microphone, a loop-pedal and one 15-watt amplifier Mumbles put together rough remixes of tracks lifted off his friend, Winnipeg prairie-rapper Abstract Artform’s album “As the Crow Flies”. Ninjaspy arose with the dawn of the year of six, embodied by the Triad in Blood: Vocalist/Guitarist Joel Parent, Drummer Adam Parent and Bassist Tim Parent. The comedy rock never stops for Psychotick as the humorcore masters gear up for their next rage across the US for their ‘The ‘Merica F*ck Yeah Tour’ kicking off in Amityville, NY on May 29th and wrapping up in St. Louis, MO on June 27th. The band will be joined by Dog Fashion Disco and The Bunny The Bear.

As for me personally, it’s also been a while since we played the West coast… it’s about time we get back to somewhere that knows how to make a decent chimichanga!”

Psychostick is currently working tireless days and nights to complete their follow up release to 2011’s ‘Space Vampires vs. Zombie Dinosaurs In 3D’ after reaching their crowd funding goal of 30,000 to record their forthcoming album and build a new recording studio based in Chicago, IL.

Harnessing their crazy sense of humor and love of all things metal, vocalist Rob “Rawrb” Kersey and guitarist Josh “The J” Key joined forces with drummer Alex “Shmalex” Dontre and bassist Matty J “Moose” to create Pyschostick, a band they’ve coined as humorcore. With hilarious lyrics, heavy riffs, notorious stage antics and high-energy performances, the band has caused millions of laughs around the world and hundreds of mosh pits across the US, often simultaneously, since its birth in Phoenix, AZ in 2000.

Almost 100 percent do-it-yourself, Psychostick never strays from its signature sound, a combination of heavy music that Chimaira, Machine Head, and Hatebreed would be proud of, and wit and humor that would make Tenacious D and Weird Al Yankovic holler with laughter.

With three full-length albums behind them – “We Couldn’t Think of a Title,” “Sandwich,” and their holiday album, “The Flesh Eating Rollerskate Holiday Joyride” – the band released their latest record, “Space Vampires vs. Zombie Dinosaurs in 3D,” in 2011, following it up with a tour with Mushroomhead to add to their total count of 21 nationwide tours that have hit 47 states.

After a successful 2013 that saw these touring ninja warriors hit the road for multiple shows on the ‘Our Tour Can Beat Up Your Tour’, ‘Blow Your Fingers Off’ summer tour, their late summer dates with American Head Charge plus appearances at summer fests that included Rockapalooza, A2 Fest, Breast Fest Biker Bash, and Dirtfest.
