Montreal’s award winning world/reggae artist AURESIA and Cameroon roots reggae artist FLO have paired up for a cross Canada ‘CHOCOLATé’ Tour in promotion of their recent releases. Sharing a five piece band, AURESIA and FLO will be performing dates from Montreal and going West as far as British Columbia to showcase their eclectic world sounds for the months of July and August.

FLO, a lyricist, composer, performer, and a committed artist to his craft has toured Africa, France and the United States, and now is taking on Montreal, one of Canada’s most diverse world arts and music scenes. Drawing inspiration from the greatest names in reggae as well as from folk, blues, hip hop and electronic music, Flo is promoting his album “How Are You Doing” mastered at the legendary Tuff Gong Studios in Jamaica. His cross Canada tour with Auresia this summer is a spiritual mission to spread love to the people.

Auresia comments on why Chocolate is a super food.
1. It has the power to make you feel like you are in love.
2. It gives you energy.
3. Lifts your spirits when you are down.
4. Aphrodisiac.
5. Is good for your skin, high in anti oxidants.

I did the video on the chocolate/ cocoa farm because I wanted to educate people on the realities of chocolate, where it came from, it’s pure cacao form, the bean how to harvest it, and make real chocolate type things- cocoa tea/ chocolate tea, – chocolate is dark and people are blinded by the commercialism of Hershey’s. Cadbury, etc- which the first ingredients are often sugar, hydrogenated oils and milk products. This is not real chocolate and is not healthy and what gives a bad rep to chocolate.

11. I have always loved chocolate! When i was a kid I used to spend a lot of time searching for hidden chocolate treats that my parents would hide in the sneakiest spots, but I even found the Easter stash of chocolate months in advance and managed to finish it all one year. My parents did not know what to do lol. However after I wrote this song it really kicked in for me the undeniable and incredible properties of chocolate.
12. The Mayans used to drink only chocolate when fasting.
13. When eating 70% Chocolate or higher, it lowers blood pressure, cuts bad cholesterol, boosts anti- bodies, good for your heart, sharpens your brain better than coffee or green tea, high in antioxidants.

With only a few show dates left on their USA ‘Smells Like Freedom Tour’, Canadian video game rock nerds DOUBLE EXPERIENCE are proud to announce they will be touring the UK for their third time this coming August. Entitled the L.A.R.P. Tour (The Live Action Rock Performance Tour) the band will be performing three weeks of show dates across the UK in promotion of their new album ‘721835′ set for release on August 1st and recorded by fellow science-fiction aficionado Al Jacob (He is Legend, A Skylit Drive).

Over the last few years, the Ottawa, ON based rock nerds have toured across Canada six times, twice in the UK and the States, performing 500+ shows over 100,000 miles and sharing the stage with such acts as Silverstein, Hawthorne Heights, Every Time I Die, Dead and Divine, Lifestory:Monologue to name a few. Their new album ‘721835’ is a curious collection of songs that are inspired by everything the band loves and considers nerdy. Showcasing a creative sound influenced by geeky comic books, trading cards, classic 8 bits games to today’s future 3D experiences, the album follows up their 2011 EP ‘One Big Quicksand’ recorded and produced by Jayson DeZuzio (Coheed and Cambria, My Chemical Romance) that was released via Blue Sapphire/Universal Music Canada.

One Band Will Rule Them All!
Wacken Metal Battle Canada is proud to announce their national final line up consisting of bands from across the country. After hundreds of submissions and over 100 bands selected to compete in the battles that took place from the West coast of Vancouver to the Rockies of Alberta in Calgary and Edmonton to central Canada in Toronto and Montreal. The final line up consists of Canada’s top independent metal bands for one to rule them all and perform at the international Wacken Metal Battle during Wacken Open Air 2014 taking place from July 31- Aug 2, which saw last year’s Canadian winners Crimson Shadows become the 2013 WMB international champions.
The national final in Toronto will take place on Saturday, June 7 at Opera House (735 Queen St E.) with Neck of The Woods from Vancouver, Exit Strategy from Calgary, Mutank from Montreal plus My Hollow and Burning The Day from Toronto with guest headliner Skull Fist closing the night. One band will be chosen by a panel of music industry judges that includes Robb Reiner (Anvil), Noel Peters (Inertia Entertainment), Lindsay Schoolcraft (Cradle Of Filth), Jon Asher (Asher Media Relations), Adam Sewell (Riot, Rock Management / Stereo Dynamite), Darrell Shelley (Scene Magazine), Tim Henderson (BW&BK), Drew Copland (Villainizer).
WMBC organizer JJ Tartaglia comments:
“We are absolutely stoked about the line-up for the Finals. These bands are the best of the best, and they’ve proven themselves round after round to earn their place on the Final stage. There will be passion, sweat, and glory. Let this be a testament to what Canada has to offer in metal music.”

The band joined a list of Canadian heavyweights such as Voivod, Exciter, Razor, Annihilator, Anvil, Kataklysm, Cryptopsy, 3 Inches of Bloods, Despised Icon and Danko Jones who have performed at the festival in years past.
Submissions were open from December 5, 2013 to January 31, 2014.

Wacken Metal Battle Canada is proud to announce the winner of the battle for Alberta as Calgary’s Exit Strategy whom won the night competing against Black Pestilence (Calgary), Eye of Horus (Edmonton) and Death Toll Rising (Edmonton). Exit Strategy will now move on to the national final in Toronto on Saturday, June 7 at Opera House (735 Queen St E.) where they will join bands from Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal for one to be chosen to perform at the international Wacken Metal Battle during Wacken Open Air 2014 taking place from July 31- Aug 2.
