About:Toronto, Canada’s high-energy, modern thrash monsters Fatality have been cranking out wise-cracking, beer-drenched nightmares together since 2003. Known for their wild, riotous live performances and their peerless work ethic, they have been independently booking and promoting their own shows, creating great merch, touring North America, and making some great tunes along the way. Few bands embody the DIY spirit as fully as Fatality consistently do, and no other bands have as much fun working their asses off.Fatality’s debut effort, Beers From The Grave, was an irreverent, horror-themed album that eschewed seriousness in favour of hard living and good times. Decibel Magazine quipped that, on Beers From The Grave, “solos fly with reckless abandon, the bass is audible and practically so are the beers being cracked open. These guys must have awesome parties.” Hellbound.ca stated that Fatality are “a bundle of crass, explosive, obnoxiously positive energy spewing beer and shrapnel.” Part homage to classic zombie apocalypse horror and part retro-thrash ruckus, Beers From The Grave was an exciting, riotously messy debut. After supporting Beers From The Grave with East coast Canadian tours, and being invited to share the stage with the likes of Exodus, Municipal Waste, Holy Grail and Razor, the thrash rockers went back to the studio and emerged with still more new material. Three rough-and-tumble, irresistibly catchy singles — “T.F.E.S.”,“Uppercut” and “Hammerfist” — were bundled together as a free EP. While most bands would have simply released a free record and called it a day, Fatality supported their singles with North American tours, winning hearts, destroying livers and splitting eardrums along the way. After those adventures, Fatality went into a period of hiatus. They emerged from this creative cocoon and re-instated their original drummer, Mason LeVon (brother to guitarist and vocalist Spencer LeVon, who replaced longtime friend and skinsman Andrew Suarez), and new musical vision. In early 2012, the band began writing a brand-new full-length, unquestionably their most ambitious project to date.

Smarter, stronger and musically tighter than ever, Fatality are now ready to unleash their sophomore album on their adoring public. Entitled Psychonaut, their new record is at once a darker and more mature effort, with more complex arrangements and sophisticated concepts that still retains their trademark energy and commitment to drunken mayhem. Tracks like “Thoughts Collide” and “Before The Collapse” delve deep into the sodden minds of their creators, bubbling with the strange alchemy of pop culture. Set to be released June 28th, 2013 Psychonaut is an exploration of the inner landscape of the mind, where addled thoughts and horror-polluted dreams are held up to musical scrutiny. Monstrous, ambitious, and sardonically funny as ever, Fatality are taking their unique sound and boundless energy to the next level.

After the tremendous out pouring of support for volume 1, you, the Axis Of Metal community have spoken loud and clear and they’ve answered the call, and countered with Volume 2. Volume 2 features more emerging artists, and is more encompassing of the metal world than the previous release.

Volume 2 will treat your eardrums to the thrashiest of metal, heinous black metal, putrid death metal, empowering traditional metal, methodical doom metal, boundary pushing progressive metal, the grooviest of groove metal, avant-garde madness, and bouncy folk metal among many other genres and incarnations of heavy sounds.

They’ve loaded their heavy metal shotgun and are discharging the most comprehensive of compilations to satisfy even the pickiest of nay-sayers and nitpickers.

If you’re wondering who crafted the sublime cover art, Axis Of Metal’s good friend Kartigan has stepped up to the plate and donated his time, effort, and patience and delivered the goods. If your band needs any sort of artwork, please don’t hesitate to contact him at: contact@axisofmetal.com and they can put both parties into motion.

Axis Of The Underground is their way to give back to the genre that has brought all of us years and years of elation and enjoyment. So sit back, crack a cold one, or roll a herbal cigarette and hit play on the bandcamp link below, and be prepared to be whisked away to a heavy metal nirvana.

About: FATALITY is the thrash metal quartet hailing from Toronto Canada. FATALITY brings an explosive form of high-energy thrash to its fans and a relentlessly untiring beer-drenched live show. FATALITY is uncompromising in its endeavors and unwavering in its determination.

Founding members Spencer LeVon (Singer/Guitarist), Eytan Gordon (Lead Guitarist) and Adam Zlotnik (Bassist) enlisted Andrew Suarez (Drummer) in the summer of 2008 to fill out the FATALITY roster. This led to the independent release of the bands debut album Beers From The Grave, and an impressive year to follow packed full of successful shows.

Sharing the stage with acts such as Municipal Waste, Bonded By Blood, Evile, Holy Grail, Exodus, Razor, DBC, and headlining many of their own shows, FATALITY have demonstrated dedication to their passion for decimating audiences with their high voltage performances, and above everything else, having a damn good time.

FATALITY Announce New Drummer and Upcoming Video

Toronto party thrashers FATALITY have announced in a recent blog update the return of original founding drummer Mason Le Von, brother of vocalist / guitarist Spencer Le Von.

In the blog update, Spencer wrote:

This is Spencer Le Von of Fatality with a big announcement regarding a recent line-up change. We have parted ways with our drummer Andrew “Comfortability Snacks” Suarez and re-hired our original drummer and my brother Mason LeVon. There is no animosity or hard feelings towards Suarez and we still consider him to be a good friend. We wanted to thank him from the bottom of our tiny pink hearts for all his hard work and enthusiasm that made this band what it is today. We look forward to making more noise with him at some other point in the future.”

The band will also be releasing a new video later this week and will be playing a show as local support for Revocation and Cannabis Corpse on April 21st in Toronto, ON at Hard Luck Bar.
