Canadian Rockers DOLL Announce New Show Dates; New Music Video ‘Plastic Lies’

Left to right: Alex Vance – Bass | Peter Kasper – Guitar | Christina Kasper – Vocals + Guitar | Nick Richer – Drums

Canadian female fronted alternative rockers DOLL are proud to announce new show dates in promotion of their latest album ‘The Ragdoll Diaries’.

Doll – Rolling To Rock Tour Dates

The grunge punksters recently released their third music video ‘Plastic Lies’ in support of ‘The Ragdoll Diaries’, which follows their two previous music videos ‘Youth of Today, Hope For Tomorrow’ and ‘FMO’.

The Ragdoll Diaries is undoubtedly Doll’s best works to date, working alongside producer Jason Jaknunas for an album that has it all, creative musicianship, honest lyrics, and a truth that’s been missing in music for some time. Supported by the fearlessly rocking threesome of Pete Kasper, Nick ‘Chopz’ Richer and newcomer to the Doll family Alex Vance, this is one band that you don’t want to miss getting in on the party early and staying for days while you zone out the beautifully crafted yet fiercely hard hitting tunes.

4. Plastic Lies
5. Never Too Late

Formed in 2005, Doll provides the missing link between punk and rock, a sound that’s been lacking in mainstream music for quite some time. With fresh and honest songs cutting through like a hot knife through butter, the rockers snap the listener out of their daze and onboard their trip of truth and beautifully crafted angst through sound and vision. Inspired by the great bands such as Sonic Youth, Hole and L7, Paramore, Flyleaf and Die Mannequin, Doll is on its way to becoming a creative and honest musical force to be reckoned with.

2012 saw great advances for the band, completing several successful Eastern Canadian tours, and breaking into the US market on their first ever tour through America, their live show is evolving and becoming one of the highlights of Canadian music. With strong performances at year’s past festivals such as the Ottawa Bluesfest, IndieWeek Canada, NXNE, and D-Tox Rockfest, a strong review in many major publications such as Outburn and Revolver Magazines, along with local support from the Ottawa Xpress being nominated over years in the Best Rock album and Band categories, sharing the stage with Protest The Hero, Lacuna Coil, Three Days Grace and tons more, to selling out over 1,000 copies of both albums and 500 vinyls of the Ragdoll Diaries, video plays across MuchMusic and MusiquePlus, and ever increasing radio plays, the band has embraced DIY to its highest degree continually improving its social media reach and brand awareness. You can expect big things from Doll in the near future! 2013 will prove to be a game changer not only for the band, but the Canadian musical landscape, with plans to return to the US and to branch out even further into Canadian markets.

Until Dawn‘s intense energy, intoxicating guitar riffs along with their lively stage shows has shown that their location in the remote northern depths of Fort McMurray, Alberta will not slow them down as they unleash their latest album ‘Horizon’ onTuesday, August 6th to follow up their 2011 self titled breakthrough.

Vocalist Adam Macleod comments:

“We started working on Horizon two years ago, and the concept came together fast. As a touring band, we are always staring into the horizon geared towards the next show. That’s what we are trying to convey with our next record. We spent an immense amount of time writing and doing pre-production to ensure we lived up to our own expectations and our fans. We believe this is the best representation of what Until Dawn is right now. We are extremely proud and excited to get this record to our fans, to make new ones and hit the road to play the new songs live.

Our single ‘This Fallen Fortress’ started as a song about being from Fort McMurray and the struggles we face as a band secluded so far north. But quickly turn into being about gaining strength through out any obstacle you are faced with. We as a band believe you can find strength and perseverance in any situation, and turn it into a positive. Let this dawn awaken.”

Mixing the sound of modern metal and classic rock, brothers Luke and Deke Worrell, with Adam MacLeod and Steve White have created a thirteen track exploder that appeals to both young and old alike.

The band is now streaming their first single ‘This Fallen Fortress’ at the following links:

About: Until Dawn released their self titled debut in 2011 to great success having their hit single “Table and The Plastic” get steady rotation on local Rock 97.9FM. With that strong support the band was able to successfully tour Western Canada, which included festival performances and sharing the stage with such as acts as rock legends KISS, Korn, Volbeat, Billy Talent, A Day To Remember, Hell Yeah, All Else Fails, Fozzy, Ill Scarlett, 3 Inches of Blood and Striker where they wowed audiences with their own brand of modern metal.

Releasing their sophomore album in 2013, Until Dawn is building on their previous success and setting new plans to bring their music to larger audiences around the world. All in all, Until Dawn is melodic metal at its finest, and this is just the beginning.

Canadian power thrashers Sanktuary are premiering their second single ‘Heat Lightning’ off their upcoming debut album ‘Something Fierce’ onPureGrainAudio.com at the following location here.

The eight track power thrash thrill ride will be released on Tuesday, July 2, 2013via Canadian metal label Spread The Metal Records and is available for pre-orderhere.

Spawning from high school friendship and growing into something much more epic, Sanktuary kicked things off with two back-to-back EPs – 2009′s self-titled release and 2010′s Black Magic Brew – and soon followed that up with a massive move from Whitehorse, Yukon to Halifax, Nova Scotia.

After touring the country following their epic relocation and being faced with a major blow in Toronto that saw their van and nearly all their gear get stolen, Sanktuary turned things around with a third EP in 2011, Tundrastruck (a 3 way split with Black Moor and Metallian), followed by them signing to Spread the Metal Records, which sent them all the way back to Whitehorse to record ‘Something Fierce’.

Smarter, stronger and musically tighter than ever, FATALITY is now ready to unleash their sophomore album ‘Psychonaut’, a darker and more mature effort, Fatality bring forth their trademark energy and commitment to drunken mayhem. Tracks like “Thoughts Collide” and “Before The Collapse” delve deep into the sodden minds of their creators, bubbling with the strange alchemy of pop culture. Psychonaut is an exploration of the inner landscape of the mind, where addled thoughts and horror-polluted dreams are held up to musical scrutiny. Monstrous, ambitious, and sardonically funny as ever, FATALITY are taking their unique sound and boundless energy to the next level.

Toronto, ON metallers WHERE GIANTS ONCE STOOD have shed the skin of years past, when they were known as Absence of Fear and shared the stage with such established bands as Periphery, The Human Abstract and Stray from the Path. Reborn, re-amped and heading your way, WGOS are setting themselves apart from the herd with the release of their debut EP ‘The Changing’ on Tuesday, July 30th.

Vocalist Reshaun Page explains, “As soon as we set foot in the studio to record this new EP, the material sounded so fresh and heavy that we knew this was going to be a whole new beginning for us.”

A seven-track assault on the senses, ‘The Changing’ hurtles towards the future of metal without ever forgetting its roots, fusing traditional guitar solos, technical riffing, screaming vocals and soaring melodic choruses with modern breakdowns and electronic samples.

Check out their new music video for the single ‘The Heavens Tremble’.
