SlimBzTV captured an amazing drum solo by Death Toll Rising drummer Bryan Newbury during the death metal band’s Edmonton, AB launch show last October for their new album ‘Infection Legacy’.

Featuring a combination of death and thrash metal, the Edmonton-based band are known to devastate their audiences with their high octane performances that has lead them to share the stage over the years with high profile names such as Kataklysm, Cryptopsy, The Haunted, and Aborted (to name a few).

Originally formed in 2003 in Stony Plain, AB, Canada, Death Toll Rising have been grinding the Western Canadian metal scene steadily, gaining huge momentum over the last 3 years. New addition Tylor Dory on guitars has introduced a technical and progressive element to the band they have not had in the past. Add in the intense and relentless drumming provided by Bryan Newbury (recently recruited by Canadian prog/death powerhouse INTO ETERNITY), as well as the well-rounded rhythm provided by Drew Copland on guitar and Mike Puff on bass, and you get a monster that is only now being unleashed upon the masses with vocalist Jesse Berube topping things off with a combination of brutal death growls and Tomas Lindberg-esqe high shrieks, which will be plenty noticeable on their new album ‘Infection Legacy’.

Toronto, ON based metal band WHERE GIANTS ONCE STOOD are proud to announce‘Where’s Your Head At Tour’ that will see them perform dates in Ontario and Quebecwith support from Hamilton, ON metallers DETERRENCE.

This is WGOS’ second tour of 2013 in support of their EP ‘The Changing’, a “seven-track rip-and-kerrang assault” that debut at no.2 on the iTunes metal charts upon its release in July, which is still winning critical praise with its ability to fuse scorching guitar work, “assaultive underbeats” plus “drill-sergeant vocals” with earworm choruses and modern electronic breaks.

WGOS is also planning to unleash a series of playthrough videos for tracks off ‘The Changing’, the first being ‘Disbelievers’, which can be viewed here.

The band plans to be in studio before and after the tour, working on their follow up release.

“Now we’ve arrived, we’re not going anywhere!” promises Reshaun. “With everything we’ve achieved this year, we’ve grown so much as a band – the new material is sounding better and heavier than ever! We’re collaborating with a fantastic producer to take our sound to the next level, and we can’t wait to show everyone what we have in store!”

Inspired by life and charged with fast and heavy grooves, screaming solos and powerful vocals, Trainwreck Architect will bring you back to the roots of metal with a few surprises along the way.

“The band is inspired by life,” explains frontman Simon Ouellet. “Many things I’ve done in my life can be compared to a trainwreck. The many mistakes I’ve made have put me in some rough places, but in the end, I’m the one who made those choices, which leads me to believe I’m an architect of sorts.

Mastered by Jeff Waters of Annihilator, whom also makes a guest appearance with a guitar solo on the track ‘As Killers Breathe’, the record features an eclectic mix of thrash, classic metal and rock and deals with the idea of humans being human and never willing to be completely satisfied.

Because, let’s face it, there’s no such thing as perfection. It’s impossible. There’s a trainwreck architect inside us all.
