Currently on their Ontario and Quebec ‘Where’s Your Head At Tour’, Toronto, ON based metal band WHERE GIANTS ONCE STOOD have posted a new drum playthrough video for fans of their track ‘The Heavens Tremble’ at the following link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9ep69IFU0A

This is WGOS’ second tour of 2013 in support of their EP  ‘The Changing’, a “seven-track rip-and-kerrang assault” that debut at no.2 on the iTunes metal charts upon its release in July, which is still winning critical praise with its ability to fuse scorching guitar work, “assaultive underbeats” plus “drill-sergeant vocals” with earworm choruses and modern electronic breaks.

The band plans to be in studio after the tour, working on their follow up release.

“Now we’ve arrived, we’re not going anywhere!” promises Reshaun. “With everything we’ve achieved this year, we’ve grown so much as a band – the new material is sounding better and heavier than ever! We’re collaborating with a fantastic producer to take our sound to the next level, and we can’t wait to show everyone what we have in store!”

Comedy Rockers Psychostick Post Outtakes/Blooper Video From ‘Obey The Beard’+ Show Dates; Launch Indiegogo Fan Funding Campaign

Campaign Donors Receive Free Download of ‘Obey The Beard’

L-R – Alex “Shmalex” Dontre – Drums | Josh “The J” Key – Guitar | Rob “Rawrb” Kersey – Vocals | Matty J “Moose” – Bass

Comedy rock band Psychostick have posted a blooper reel from their latest music video ‘Obey The Beard’, which the band released as part of their fan funding campaign taking place at Indiegogo.com and running till December 5th. (Go to www.indiegogo.com/projects/new-psychostick-album-and-recording-studio/x/4100572.) The campaign is to raise money to record a new album and complete construction on their recording studio.

To view the outtakes from ‘Obey The Beard’, please visit the following link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNS-oW_FU0c

The band also posted a video short ‘Alex is Dead, Stupid Drummer Dies’ in support of the campaign: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qtMpVdZcsHA

Fans who contribute to the fund raising efforts will score a free MP3 of ‘Obey The Beard’ song and other cool stuff for helping the band finance their next album and the completion of their recording studio.

Says Psychostick guitarist Josh Key:  “This fundraiser is not just for a new album, but so much more! We’re building a sweet studio; we want to put out new music and videos on a regular basis, so that fans don’t have to wait through long dry spells between albums to hear something new from us. This fundraiser will enable us to make that happen.”  Vocalist Rob Kersey concurs, saying, “Having our own studio and the ability to record songs right away will be a huge dream come true for us. We literally have around a hundred or so song ideas that often get put on the back burner, but with this sweet setup we can finally become that recording machine we’ve always wanted to be. This fundraiser along with our amazing fans can help us fuel this machine for more brutal laughs in the years to come.”

Psychostick also plans to release several promotional videos during the course of the Indiegogo campaign, and contributors will also be privy to additional private videos once the album recording process gets underway.  Like other fan funding efforts, Psychostick is planning a number of incentive tiers as part of the campaign.  Among the items being offered are things such as:  a signed CD, custom ringtone recorded by the band, exclusive t-shirt, custom kick drum head, guest list for life, cameo in a Psychostick video, and everything and the (literal) kitchen sink.

Usually touring ninja warriors, the band, just off of their “Blow Your Fingers Off” summer tour and their late summer dates with American Head Charge, will be sticking close to home as work on the new album kicks off.  Tour stops over the summer also included Rockapalooza, A2 Fest, Breast Fest Biker Bash, and Dirtfest.  In July, they released their latest music video for the song “Sadface Emoticon” (http://youtu.be/ZsqZl3VqoM4), and which followed their video for “Dogs Like Socks,” which was released earlier this year (http://youtu.be/swmuqGWgZCc).

Harnessing their crazy sense of humor and love of all things metal, vocalist Rob “Rawrb” Kersey and guitarist Josh “The J” Key joined forces with drummer Alex “Shmalex” Dontre and bassist  Matty J “Moose” to create Pyschostick, a band they’ve coined as humorcore. With hilarious lyrics, heavy riffs, notorious stage antics and high-energy performances, the band has caused millions of laughs around the world and hundreds of mosh pits across the US, often simultaneously, since its birth in Phoenix, AZ in 2000.

Almost 100 percent do-it-yourself, Psychostick never strays from its signature sound, a combination of heavy music that Chimaira, Machine Head, and Hatebreed would be proud of, and wit and humor that would make Tenacious D and Weird Al Yankovic holler with laughter.

With three full-length albums behind them – “We Couldn’t Think of a Title,” “Sandwich,” and their holiday album, “The Flesh Eating Rollerskate Holiday Joyride” – the band released their latest record, “Space Vampires vs. Zombie Dinosaurs in 3D,” in 2011, following it up with a tour with Mushroomhead to add to their total count of 21 nationwide tours that have hit 47 states.

Upcoming Show Dates:

November 30 – The Foundry – Jackson, MI

December 5 – Pop’s – St. Louis, MO

December 6 – The Fillmor – Wausau, WI

About: Stone Iris is a brotherhood of like-minded musicians. From humble beginnings in Edmonton, Canada, their fusion of self described Southern Rock from the True North / Reggae Music from a Cold Dark Place has been blazing across Canada and the USA over the years.

With consistent touring, busking, jamming and writing, the undeniable, yet un-classifiable spectacle known as Stone Iris has been persistent in sharing their craft and passion. With a love for performing, their live show is as honest and original, as it is part of who and what they are. Driven by groove, it makes you move.

Much has been in store for Stone Iris in 2013; including extensive touring, two full length albums, the first being their eighth recording ‘Kicking The Can’ released in March and now to be followed by their ninth release ‘Grande National’ this coming August.

Releasing their first single ‘I Wanna’  from ‘Kicking The Can’ to radio across Canada along with local support by Edmonton’s rock authority Sonic 102.9 FM who named the group ‘Band of The Month’ for March plus premiering their music video  ‘Taste of Fame’ onBlankTV. Stone Iris is hitting the road for their second North American Tour since releasing ‘Kicking The Can’.
