Edmonton, AB’s brutal horror mayhem BLEED has teamed with horror magazine Rue Morgue for the exclusive album premiere of the band’s debut full length ‘The Hatred Inside’ before its release on Sept 29th to follow up their 2014 Self-Titled EP.
“Alas, The Hatred Inside revealed in its entirety! We hope you get as much pleasure from it as we did pouring our anger into it. Each song has been grimly sewn together in a manner one could only expect from us and those familiar with our previous recordings may notice an up tempo Murder Baby. We are satisfied with what we have achieved with this being our first full length album and we look forward to where we will go from here. So get your hands on a copy, tear it open, and feast on The Hatred Inside.” comments vocalist Robert Kreed.

Bringing horror, mayhem, and pain through a medium that brushes on brutal death metal. BLEED‘s live show combines costumed performances with crushing, groovy thrash peppered with blood. The band pays homage to theatrical metal kings, GWAR, through their own original material and costume design. They guarantee that fans will be chanting along with their grotesque lyrics from such songs as ‘Committed’ complete with appropriate props to accompany much of the material they write.
The blood covered four piece is comprised of Ron (guitarist), Rob (vocalist), Mike (Bass) who also plays bass in Samandriel, and Chuck (Drums) who also plays in Idolatry and Ivardensphere. They draw inspiration from many bands; Slayer for their in your face delivery and lyrical content, GWAR for their stage show and lyrical content, Strapping Young Lad for their chaotic sound and comedic entertainment, Zimmer’s Hole for their stage show and variety of song style, and DevilDriver for their overall heavy/borderline death metal sound.
Their song writing strategy is simple: start with a guitar riff, structure it, and map it out, from there they add bass and drums, rehearse liberally, and continue to craft the instrumentals until they are completely ‘fleshed’ out. Lyrics are usually written in one sitting by Robert (vocals), once the emotion is found, a story begins to unfold, be it about war, demons, death, torture, and other unpleasantries.
The band has released a self-titled EP in 2014, and plan to release their debut full-length on September 29, 2015 accompanying it will be a booklet with individual band photos, grotesque artistic imagery, and lyrics for the songs. Fans and crowds are guaranteed to be covered in blood by the end of the show with their endless ferocity.

Bonnyville, AB death-infused melodic metallers SILENT LINE has teamed up with MetalNationNews for the premiere of their first single ‘Shattered Shores I: Timeless Night’ off their upcoming concept album ‘Shattered Shores’, which is the follow up to their 2012 LP ‘Born of Dying Star’.
To listen to ‘Shattered Shores I: Timeless Night’, please visit the following link: http://metalnationradio.ca/exclusive-song-premiere-silent-lines-new-track-shattered-shores-i-timeless-night-new-album-shattered-shores-due-out-october-30th/
“Timeless Night is the first part of the title track off this album and describes the coming of the storm that is supposed to wash away the ash of the past and renew the land. It shares a similar chorus with Shattered Shores II: A New Beginning, as well as the verse riff – although the songs are in different tuning. It also shares some lyrics with Erosion to tie the depiction of ashes and flames to the storm. It primarily describes hopelessness and sorrow, trying to move on, but being stuck in depression. Musically it is quite diverse ranging from classic In Flames-style dual lead guitars to a four guitar harmonized clean bridge and huge ringing chords.” comments vocalist/guitarist Michael Burton.
Producing heavy and melodic music with an orchestral flair rooted in death metal‘Shattered Shores’ is the band’s first concept album. The title track is split into two parts, and throughout the album several thematic riffs and lyrics are repeated, creating a motif for listeners. The title references being stranded and trapped forever as the shores become more eroded and the reality of isolation sets in. The lyrics revolve around the themes of overcoming hardships, anxiety, and “weathering the storm” in order to persevere. A single person is referred to throughout the album and everything is told from their point of view as they wander, stuck on the island — unsure of how they got there, and unsure if they will ever leave.
SILENT LINE is composed of Mike Burton leading the charge on guitar and vocals, Randy Bergh writing pummeling guitar riffs, Andy Sidloski crafting driving bass lines, and Adam Kallstrom thundering on drums. The line up charges audiences with their energy and fills the entire room with its symphonic melodies. heir dedication to their craft is strengthened by their loyal fans, who have supported their development over the years with their two previous albums ‘Born of A Dying Star’ (2012) and ‘One Body Blade’ (2010).

Windsor, ON ghetto tech metallers THE APEX have unleashed their latest music video ‘If Detroit River Could Speak’ in support of their debut self-titled album released earlier this year.
“If Detroit River Could Speak is about our local area (Windsor/Detroit) and how our economy has declined. It touches upon how this area was rich with automobile manufacturing and the streets were “paved with gold” before the decline. It’s a feeling as if the story is being told by Detroit River, which divides these “2 cities of rot”.” comments drummer Tyson Taylor.
The video is directed and edited by Mike Budinsky of Urban Grind Media and can be watched at the following link:

BIO:
The Apex formed in August of 2013.
They are a collective of individuals from the Ontario metal community, whom over the years have come together from past bands such as, Closed Casket Funeral, Dismata, Blood Shot Eye, The Coalition Design, and Corprophemia to form The Apex.
In a true culmination of talent, dedication, and timing, this group has created a unique hometown sound that is now being called “Windsor Ghetto Tech”. The brutal sonic assault of their music coupled with the emotional reckless abandonment of their live performance, have drawn stanch comparisons to Meshuggah and classic Dillinger Escape Plan rounded out with a distinctly Canadian flair.
In July, 2014 they entered Shark Tank Productions studio in Windsor, Ontario to begin recording their debut self-titled full length album, “The Apex”. They hired engineer Nick Kinnish of Serafina Productions (Johnny Truent, Architects, and more) to aid them in capturing their sound accurately. In November, 2014 they completed their recording and announced the independent release date of February 21st, 2015.
TOUR EXPERIENCE
This band is no stranger to hitting the pavement to support the music they love to make. In their 15+ years of experience creating music in previous bands, they’ve been support on tour for bands like: Cephalic Carnage, All Shall Perish, Despised Icon, Cryptopsy, Today Is The Day, and Ion Dissonance to name a few. In previous bands they’ve also shared the stage on festivals with bands like: SOD, Venom, Obituary, Cradle Of Filth, Earth Crisis, God Forbid, Skinless, Beneath The Massacre and more to crowds up to 7500+ in North America.
As their current lineup “The Apex”, they have already invested in a mid-sized tour bus and have began to book many shows and festivals across Canada for 2015.

“Windsor, Ontario’s The Apex delivers a uniquely Canadian twist on extreme technical sounds. The band lay down a very impressive strain of tech hardcore/metal (but never quite metalcore) that brings to mind The End (I think that’s the only reason this one has such a Canadian feel to me) and early Dillinger Escape Plan but in a way that is actually quite enjoyable, a word not often associated with bands of this ilk these days. Maybe it’s the pure sincerity coming through in the vocals, or the satisfying production, or just the insane technicality being done so well, but this one stands way above the tech-metal masses.” – Bravewords
“Consumer warning: ensure your ears are finely-tuned to their ‘metal’ frequency before using The Apex.” – The Windsor Independent
“These guys are unquestionably ones to watch, and if you are a fan of bludgeoning metal with added anarchy then this is a no-brainer.” – Rock n Rell Reviews
“listeners can expect loud and abrasive, albeit highly technical metal.” – PureGrainAudio
“The biggest comparisons The Apex get are to Meshuggah and early Dillinger Escape Plan, not too shabby, and I don’t disagree. There’s a consistency to this album in it’s intensity from song to song, meaning there’s no space to breath, even when the tempo slows down. Vocalist Darren M. keeps you cornered from start to finish like a pitbull hulking out. Musically, The Apex are tight and on point. You can’t take anything away from them.” – Stranger With Friction
