Montreal Prog Metal FRACTAL CYPHER Unleash Debut Track ‘Prison Planet’ via Prog-Sphere.com

Reveal Album Artwork and Track Listing For ‘The Human Paradox’

FRACTAL CYPHER exists to captivate audiences with progressive instrumentals that cut through the mesmerizing vocals yet somehow evolving; each listen provides a new perspective. Straight out of the heart of Canada’s metal scene, these Montreal metallers constantly shift their compositions with seamless transitions and theatrical interludes to keep audiences on their toes. Since 2014, ex-Far From Reality members Simon Lavoie (vocals), Ludovick Daoust (keyboard), and Vincent Bruneau (guitar) have dedicated themselves to FRACTAL CYPHER.

The powerful quintet is just as versatile in their music as they are in their musical interests, darting between djent, death metal, and classic rock. Each song acts of their own volition almost taking control of the members and shaping a personality and energy not unlike a living entity. Ludovick is at the helm of songwriting, calculating and unlocking each melody and becoming the voice for each piece. Their debut album set for release later this year is produced by Chris Donaldson (Cryptopsy, The Agonist, Beyond Creation, Neuraxis) will be comprised of 9 songs, each hand picked and strategically chosen to best represent the living, breathing entity that is FRACTAL CYPHER.

Teaming up with Prog-Sphere.com, FRACTAL CYPHER are giving fans a taste of what’s to come with the premiere of their debut track ‘Prison Planet’, which can be heard at the following link: http://www.prog-sphere.com/news/exclusive-hear-new-fractal-cyphers-single-prison-planet/

“‘Prison Planet’ is the first song we wrote when we started the band. Definitely the most straight forward song of the album, with catchy melodies and a conventional structure. I’d say Prison Planet is a good blend of what people can expect from the rest of the album. Catchy choruses, heavy riffs, good solos and great melodies. We tried to reach both the progressive and mainstream audience with this song, which offer just enough of technicity and complexity. you just can’t help to bang your head on this one !” comments guitarist Vincent Bruneau.

1. Lost (8:23)
2. Endless Circle (6:26)
3. Shining A While (8:04)
4. Prison Planet (5:27)
5. Imminent Extinction (6:28)

Vancouver, BC’s WITHOUT MERCY have teamed up withNoCleanSinging.com to welcome their fans to the depths of hell with the premiere of their new music video ‘Burn’, which is in support of their upcoming EP‘Mouichido’ set for release on May 27th. Album pre-order at the following link here.

“On the surface, ‘Burn’ shows a decent into hell. The imagery and content seems to follow the rhetoric of a burning and painful afterlife. In reality, ‘Burn’ is actually about the decent into madness. Your own personal hell while you battle your inner demons and face your own addictions. Listeners of this song can hear references to famous depictions of damnation from other literary worlds and even a very famous video game.” comments guitarist DJ Temple.

About:

Tenacity, work ethic and originality. There’s no excuses anymore.

Vancouver-based Without Mercy certainly stays true to its name. Ruthless and menacing, these Canadian metal titans have cultivated and redefined the phrase, “Fuck Pussy Metal”.

Founded in 2004, Without Mercy has gone from strength to strength over the years. They released their first EP “All Else Fails” in 2007 completely independently and used its humble beginnings to start the catapulting of performances, internet presence and radio play. In 2009, Without Mercy went on to record their self-titled full length album using the same team that worked on records by Devin Townsend, Mudvayne, and Marilyn Manson.  Without Mercy rode the attention wave of their self-titled debut, using the escalation to begin a relentless performance schedule that would lead them far from their hometown and include over 200 live performances.  No stranger to tenacity, in only a few short years Without Mercy have achieved; being the only indie metal band in Western Canada to have two tracks available on Rock Band 3, being featured in Tattoo Savage Magazine, and pioneering the phrases, ‘You Smell Like A Bitch’ and ‘Fuck Pussy Metal’ – which have now become synonymous with the band.

In 2014, Without Mercy unleashed third studio release, “Reborn”.  Another massive evolution for the band, Without Mercy sought to bring back the organic metal sound and combine it with a high production standard.  Fast forward to 2016, some line up changes with a new vocalist and bassist, the band is ready to share with fans re-recorded material from ‘Reborn’ on their new EP ‘Mouichido’ that even features Chimaira vocalist Mark Hunter on their track ‘In Waves’. The EP is set to be unleashed on May 27th, 2016 and will be supported with a steady rotation of touring and appearances across Canada and the USA. All of course, independently.

ici on aime la musicalité et de belles mélodies chiadées et vintage. On ne peut regretter qu’une chose: la demie heure de cette galette passe trop vite.

0 Broken Neck Radio – Scythia – Lineage

“Loremaster pt 1” and pt2 delivers a one-two punch midway through the album demonstrating Scythias’ extremely talented musicianship blending all they have to offer into a precise well written manner. Celine Derval delivers an enchanting vocal in part two ,adding to the songs rich soundscape. A sense of foreboding battle begins with “The Sacrifice”, ready to pounce into a sweet blend of melodic power metal and extreme  metal all at once. I really enjoy the headbanging drum rhythm midpoint which executes on point, keeping the song interesting, slam dancing into a sonic death metal finale. The album’s title track closes out the album, conveying a feel of closure yet victorious; in mankind’s need for change.
