“Country goes metal – One of the more inventive musical acts to hit the local circuit in recent years is Them County Bastardz “T.C.B”, based in Leamington. This screamo quintet combines beer-swilling, redneck swagger with Pantera-like intensity.” – Windsor Star
“Get ready to fist-pump, “Sick Daze,” the new album from the old schoolin’ and good timin’ band, Them County Bastardz, is just what we’ve been looking for…a great metal album, with great technical playing and vocals all wrapped up in a raw, southern fried vibe. Plus, its also a damn good time. With hints of Pantera, Hell Yeah, Godsmack and a healthy heaping of southern rock, Them County Bastardz have made an album that you can throw on, crack a beer and fits pump and head bang too. Hell, if you feel like it, air guitar to the sick guitar solos on tracks like, “Buzzkill” “The Bastard” “Rise Up” and “Drive By.” Just buckle up and enjoy, what in this humble Bro’s opinion, is a damn good album. With a Bro-Metal rating of, 8/10, Them County Bastardz, have a hit on their hands. With a release date of, 2.24.15, go pre-order, “Sick Daze,” and get ready for hell raising, beer drinking, metal glory.” – Bro-Metal
“Once upon a time, metal was actually fun, no really. And the splendidly named Them County Bastardz harken back to that era. What you got here are some seriously well-written riff-based tracks (crushing riffs, real’ wall of sound’ stuff) in the vein of Black Label Society and Pantera circa Cowboys From Hell. There’s also something of Alice In Chains in there too. Good influences, but Them County Bastardz have a strong personality all of their own. Overall, it’s like some crazy concept album. I kept thinking of Smokey and the Bandit as I listened to it. Indeed, it’s feel good stuff all the way, a great joke at the expense of the dire band Extreme (never was a band more badly named! Pathetic would have been a more apt moniker). The production, by the band and a certain Chris Towle, is first class. As a constructive suggestion, not a criticism, I detect an AC/DC influence, and I’d like to hear them do more of this in future. Overall, a damn fine album!” – Hellbound.ca
“If you love when the words “fun” and “metal” go together, in special when there are talented and enthusiastic musicians behind that mix, this album will certainly put a smile upon your face while you’re having a beer and banging your head with your metal buddies.” – The Headbanging Moose
“With the new NASCAR season just around the corner, this album would go well with it and the game of cornhole that’s sure to break out. Crack open a sixer and enjoy the sounds from our neighbors. You’ll be glad to check this one out if you’re a fan of Hell Yeah, Black Label Society, or Pantera.” – National Rock Review

Montreal based solo rock musician Milo McMahon has confirmed he will be playing at this year’s Canadian Music Week on May 9th at Cameron House in Toronto, ON. Showcase details here.
“I used to live in Toronto and as a music fan, CMW was always written in bold on my calendar. To have the opportunity to hop on the other side of the fence and perform at the festival is a big honour. I’m preparing something special just for those dates and can’t wait to get down there.” comments McMahon.
McMahon recently announced he will be hitting the road at the beginning of March (dates listed below) in support of his latest EP ‘Gone Too Long’ released last October to follow up his first release of 2014, the self-produced debut album ‘Big City Hustle’.
“The last 12 months have been a whirlwind, and the reaction to Gone Too Long EP has been amazing. The live show is our bread and butter, so we’re really excited to get back on the road and bring these songs to life.” comments McMahon.
With his infectious stage presence, impressive guitar playing and powerful voice, McMahon has harvested a following of enthusiastic fans from across Canada with two releases in one year. His most recent, the three song EP ‘Gone Too Long’ was produced by Dave Newfeld (Broken Social Scene, Super Furry Animals) and features performances by Joseph Yarmush of Suuns along with Lisa Iwanycki Moore of Blood & Glass. His debut album, ‘Big City Hustle’ released in March of 2014 explores the dichotomy of the struggle to make it as a successful musician in downtown Toronto along with his second life: that of a tree planter in the wilds of Northern Canada where he spent over two years living in a tent in the Canadian wilderness planting over one million trees.
The youngest of five, Milo was born at home in Dublin, Ireland but relocated to wintry Winnipeg, MB shortly after where he developed a love of all things Canadian: canoeing, hockey and rock n’ roll. Early memories of Guns n’ Roses on the living room hi-fi, Neil Young’s Harvest Moon on long car rides and later, the Red Hot Chili Peppers on repeat on his first Walkman have certainly left an impression on the 27-year-old singer/songwriter, whose refreshing brand of garage rock produces songs that are both musically innovative and lyrically engaging.

“I would have to say that you owe it to yourself to see Milo and his band. It is absolutely a must-see act if you love rock music and want to see an up-and-comer playing the style the way it should be played: with energy and integrity.” – Hot Soupe
“We can feel Milo’s talent in his music, and the energy that his band brings to the act. The vocalist and frontman Milo is definitely a talented singer – he has a very nice and soothing voice, with a wide vocal range. There is definitely a lot of potential to move up for this Montreal musician.” – (Live Review) – The Scene Mag
“The first track, “Gone Too Long”, is both melodic and catchy with some fairly awesome flute playing. The second track, “Come Get Me Eyes”, a little more rock than the first track, is equally as catchy. The guitar and bass, along with the lyrics, really stand out on this track. The last track, “Buyin’ a Truck”, is a fun song about missing somebody. I can see it being a good sing-along tune as well.” – Bucketlist Music Reviews
“Big City Hustle is definitely one of the more interesting eclectic I’ve heard in a while…. It takes a lot of courage to make a concept album, especially to do one alone, and McMahon grabs the bull by the horns with full-force. This album shows the beginnings of a very promising musical career and should not be overlooked.” – The Scene Mag
