WACKEN METAL BATTLE CANADA – SASKATOON – ONE & ONLY BATTLE ROUND – JAN 16th @ Rock Bottom

Wacken Metal Battle Canada is proud to announce that their Saskatoon battle will be taking place on January 16th @ Rock Bottom. Two winners from this round will be facing off in the prairie final in Regina, SK on February 20th at The Exchange against Winnipeg‘s top two winning bands with one winner moving on to the national final in Toronto, ON in June (date to be determined). The winning band from the national final in Toronto, ON will go on to represent Canada at the international final that includes over 30 participating countries at the world’s largest metal fest Wacken Open Air in Wacken, Germany taking place from July 30th to August 1st.

The top 2 bands from Saskatoon will go on to battle the top 2 bands from Winnipeg, in Regina on Feb 20th at The Exchange.

About:

WMBC has seen Canada’s top metal bands battle each other since 2013 for one to rule them all and perform at the world’s largest metal festival Wacken Open Air in Wacken, Germany. Toronto’s Crimson Shadows (2013 winners – video at Wacken) and Montreal’s Mutank (2014 winners – video at Wacken) have had that honour, playing in front of thousands.

Wacken Metal Battle Canada 2015 band submissions are now closed for the following Canadian cities Victoria, Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec City.

Each city will hold their qualifying rounds plus city finals from the months of January to May 2015 selecting the top band to move forward to the national finals in Toronto, ON in June (date to be determined) with one being selected to perform at the 26th edition of Wacken Open Air taking place from July 30th to August 1st. All bands will be judged during battle rounds by respected local music industry.

The finalists will be selected as follows.

1 finalist from BC (Vancouver & Victoria will face off)

1 finalist from Alberta (Calgary & Edmonton will face off)

2 finalists from Toronto, ON

1 finalist from Quebec (Montreal & Quebec City will face off)

1 finalist from Ottawa, ON

1 finalist from Saskatoon or Winnipeg (Saskatoon and Winnipeg will face off)
