Out Now! Canadian Black Death IDOL OF FEAR Unleash New Album ‘All Sights Affixed, Ablaze’

Album Stream – All Sights Affixed, Ablaze

Born from the powerful quote from Ingmar Bergman’s 1957 movie Det Sjunde Inseglet (The Seventh Seal) “We must make an idol of our fear and that idol we shall call God.”. Canadian black death band IDOL OF FEAR unleash their new album ‘All Sights Affixed, Ablaze’ out today, Tuesday, November 18th.The follow up to their 2013 EP ‘Scavenger’, the full length features eight crushing tracks of abstract, sliced melodies paired with upfront aggression and compelling vocal energy. It’s also mastered by Tore Stjerna (Watain, Corpus Christi) atNecromorbus Studio and mixed by Jeff Wardell.

Vocalist / guitarist Austin Myers comments:

“At long last the day has come to unleash our prized beast upon the planet. All Sights Affixed, Ablaze was carved from the nothingness in both great sweeping slashes and shallow cuts of refined progress. Being a debut album, some of its components stretch back to the conception of the band itself. We won’t divulge too much information about what lies beneath its skin, although there are a number of underlying and recurrent themes/concepts waiting for the listener to explore if they push themselves to its hostile depths. This completes the first stage of Idol of Fear and we are becoming stronger with each passing hour… the vultures are always hungry. We would like thank to Jeff Wardell, Tore Stjerna, Mark Riddick, Vertebrae33, Asher Media Relations, and everyone who has supported us thus far.  We are bringing Idol of Fear worldwide so keep an eye out for us or you’ll wish you had.”

“the song (All Sights Affixed, Ablaze) delivers is dark, dynamic music performed with a lot of impressive instrumental flair, a deft balance of memorable melody and scathing aggression, and the kind of vocals you can understand — at the same time as they are gnashing voraciously through flesh and bone.” – No Clean Singing

“one listen of this track (All Sights Affixed, Ablaze) and you’ll find all sorts of influences and shifts in tone, but it’s all dark and weighty. ” – Yell Magazine

“Throughout it all: the wailing guitar. I keep coming back to that sound that paints the dominant colors here in the picture that is All Sights Affixed, Ablaze. The guitar solos and leads are the real “vocals,” while the harsh yells and screams provide nearly instrumental texture in support. I don’t usually give away spoilers but this album has just an epic finish. Make this the last music you hear before heading outside on a dark, crisp night. You’ll feel the air differently.” Metal Storm
