Calgary, AB alternative blues/ rock musician Matt Blais whom is in the midst of his cross Canada tour in promotion of his new album ‘The Heartbeat’ released in February, has posted a behind the scenes tour video at the following link below.

Matt Blais comments:

“I love life on the road. I’m really looking forward to just getting in the van, meeting new people and seeing new things. I’ve got a great group of guys in the band who are fun to play with on stage and party with after. So I know that we, and all the audiences are gonna have a blast. Canada is such a huge country. I never realized that until planning a tour from one end to the other, so, this is a huge undertaking for any band. But, I’ve always believed in the hard work, grass roots, live music approach to building a fan base, so, I’m really excited.”

Matt Blais – Playin in a Travellin Band

With his first single ‘Running’ hitting the airwaves and iPods across Canada, Matt is gaining comparisons to artists such as Sam Roberts, Matt Mays and Joel Plaskett. A cutting edge artist, his latest release ‘The Heartbeat’ combines elements of fiery rock and roll with smooth vintage soul to form a sound so uniquely his own that one can’t help but become emotionally charged. The combination of a high energy live show and a passion for song writing is Blais’ formula for success, which thus far has been very well received by critics and the audiences that continue to grow in number.
