Blues Rock Reggae 5 piece Stone Iris is proud to announce their upcoming album launch and tour kick off for their latest release ‘Kicking The Can’ on Thursday, March 28th at the Starlite Room (10030 102 St NW.) with local support from Thompson Hiway, Mayday and The Beatcreeps and The Unwed Mothers.
‘Kicking The Can’ will be officially released on March 26th and showcase the bands fusion of self described Southern Rock from the True North / Reggae Music from a Cold Dark Place.
The first single from ‘Kicking The Can’ is ‘I Wanna’, which can be heard at the following below.
Stone Iris will be announcing their North American dates in the coming week.

In additional news, Stone Iris has been nominated at this year’s Edmonton Music Awards for ‘Rock Recording of The Year’ for their 2012 EP ‘Illuminations’.
The 5 song EP, their seventh release, was a follow up to their 2011 twin-EPs The Boo Box and Serene Machine and was supported by their Canadian and USA ‘Illumi-Nations Tour’ last summer.
