Show Dates

June 9th – L’Alize – Montreal, QC

About: Emery Street has grown and morphed from a simple four-piece into a multilayered gutter orchestra. With arrangements featuring screaming brass, raunchy guitars, powerful rhythm sections and raw country strings, Emery Street delivers a unique hybrid of Americana and gritty modern sounds.

The band’s debut album, “No Regrets, No Apologies,” was released in 2009, mixed by Pierre Bazinet and produced by singer-songwriter Seb Schwartz in his Montreal studio located on the very street that inspired the band’s moniker.

Frontman Seb Schwartz was first exposed to music at a young age by hearing the sounds constantly churning out of his father’s home studio. It can be said that Schwartz began his musical career by producing hip hop acts from across Quebec until, at 18, he was introduced to Canadian producer Pierre Bazinet where he observed and learned various recording skills and it wasn’t long before Schwartz began recording and producing himself.

Embarking on a quest to form a professional band, countless songs and line-up changes ensued until, in 2010, Schwartz was able to finally establish the Emery Street he had always know was possible and that he had been so ardently searching for.

Since then, Emery Street has gone on to play some of Montreal’s most respected venues (Club Soda, Café Campus, Le National) and is about to unveil its second full-length album later this year, which is bound to deliver their greatest eclectic masterpiece to date.
