Canadian extreme metal band Without Mercy will unleash their new EP, “Infinite Loss,” on May 8th, delivering one of the most intentional, intense, and creatively defining statements of their nearly two‑decade career. To mark the release, the band has partnered with Metal Insider for the exclusive premiere of the full EP stream, alongside the debut of the lyric video for the title track, “Infinite Loss.”
The EP arrives following the rollout of previously released singles “Glass” and “The Saint,” each offering a distinct glimpse into the record’s emotional weight, sonic restraint, and thematic depth.
Guitarist DJ Temple describes “Infinite Loss” as the result of a transformative and deliberately uncomfortable creative process:
“This was the first time we left home to make a record. We crossed borders, uprooted our routines, and committed fully to the process by living inside it for ten days. There was no comfort, no distance, and no way to step away.”
The band built the EP around three songs that genuinely excited them, not as singles, but as statements. Every decision had to earn its place.
“The result is something we are proud of, not because it represents a direction we chased, but because it reflects who we were in that moment and what we were willing to commit to,” adds Temple.
For the first time, Without Mercy worked with a producer at a deep structural level, embracing tension, disagreement, and collaboration as essential parts of the process.
“This record exists because we chose to be uncomfortable, to argue honestly, and to stay in the room until it felt right,” says Temple.
Lyrically, “Infinite Loss” is about being hunted, not once, but repeatedly. The threats shift, but they never disappear. Economic pressure, identity, time, survival, and expectation all close in at once. The record speaks to the modern experience across the Americas: not victimhood, but endurance under relentless pursuit.
Musically, the EP mirrors that pressure through repetition, density, and restraint. Riffs sit heavy and suffocating. Rhythms feel physical and deliberate. The aggression is controlled rather than chaotic, creating a sense of inevitability rather than release.
Opening title track, “Infinite Loss,” with its repetition, density, and deliberate pacing, creates a suffocating sense of inevitability. Middle song, “The Saint”, is the EP’s biggest stylistic departure, leaning into space, tension, and unfamiliar structure. EP closer, “Glass”, interconnects riffs inspired by Meshuggah and Alluvial, tightening inward until the outro opens with scale and finality.
Without Mercy was formed in 2007, blending groove, extreme metal, and technical precision into a sound described as “heavy and insightful at the same time.” The band has shared stages with Cattle Decapitation, Aborted, and Death Angel, and has appeared as downloadable content in Rock Band 3, bridging gaming culture and heavy music.
Their discography includes “All Else Fails” (2007), “Without Mercy” (2009), “Reborn” (2014), rereleased as “Mouichido” (2016), and “Seismic” (2020). “Infinite Loss” marks their most focused and intentional work to date, a release built from collapse, rebuilt through discipline, and finished with absolute conviction.

““The Saint” is somehow both maniacal and controlled. In its opening couple of minutes it seems to be a carefully calibrated convulsion, discharging its myriad sensations in quick stop-start bursts of seemingly off-kilter but tightly executed mayhem. Those sensations include sledgehammer rhythmic brutishness, shrill and spidery fretwork-delirium, and napalm-strength vocals. The grooves are there — grooves of differing kinds — but they quickly jackhammer listeners in the midst of harrowing howls, scorching screams, and a multitude of fleet-fingered but berserk and discordant string contortions. Moreover, at the 2:18 mark the song suddenly and dramatically changes — indeed, it’s difficult to overstate just how dramatic the change is. In place of all the frenetically bursting frequencies the lead guitar gently rings and seductively warps above gravel-toned bass-lines and steady beats, an interlude that brings hints of jazz fusion to mind. That’s just a quick breather before the song’s intensity blazes again, and yet the segue back into the finale of bludgeoning grooves and squirming guitars is a smooth and near-seamless one.” – No Clean Singing
“Without Mercy’s New Album Is A Whirlwind of Sonic Punishment” – The Pit (Seismic – 2020)
“Right from the start (Uprooted), Without Mercy set the bar high for their extremity, aiming for something far more chaotic. The opening is a mix between the pure grind-death akin to that of Cattle Decapitation, and the math metal sound of Protest the Hero.”- Metal Injection (Seismic – 2020)
“pay witness (I Break The Chain) to their thrashy death metal a la Cattle Decapitation, Meshuggah and Decapitated and watch as they adorn the blast beats and breakdowns with beer guts and brogues.” – Decibel Magazine (Seismic – 2020)
“…To put it simply: the band does an incredible job of blending their grooves with their growls. Between segments of death, doom, and shreddy guitar solos that absolutely slay, there are moments of satisfying melodic breakdowns, and cutting riffs to die for… Seismic is full of lyrics that hold true and poignant meaning while using powerful imagery to evoke epic scenes of turbulent life and painful decay in the minds eye… ground-shaking album. 4/5” – Metal-Rules (Seismic – 2020)
“Overall, two elements really struck me here…one was the level of intensity, and the other the level of musicianship from the band. How they can remain unsigned is a mystery to me. They play with such a tight synergy that it’s almost like they can finish each other’s sentences before they even open their mouth.” – Metal Temple (Seismic – 2020)
“While the heavy metal name generator might have had something to do with what this meaty metal unit called themselves, you can’t say it doesn’t fit. Without Mercy are pretty damn *ahem* merciless and to cap that off, their new album is so aptly titled. Seismic…a relentless powerhouse that is akin to tectonic plates smashing into each other. There is no fucking mercy and it’s fucking glorious. Excuse the swearing but that’s how this album makes you feel. It makes you feel like a beast. It makes you feel capable of taking on the world. It’s chunky, it’s thick, it’s chokingly devastating and undoubtedly one to be remembered.” – Games, Brrraaains & A Head-Banging Life (Seismic – 2020)
“The thrash-stomp modes on “Worthless” ring like a head-on collision between DECAPITATED and BIOHAZARD with a dash of power metal thrown into the solo section. Alex Friis wrings his throat to huge extremes, hopefully leaving tissue intact as he hits agonizing squeals while throwing indictments against former band members — guess on your own who that might entail. DJ Temple’s guitar work on “Worthless” is terrific..” (Mouchido EP 2016) – Blabbermouth
“Vancouver’s Without Mercy is a prime example of how putting in a little bit of elbow grease can result in advantageous outcomes. The quartet play their brand of melodic, groove-laden death metal independently, but refuse to remain held back by a lack in the promotional and money machine backing departments. Over the course of a decade or so, the band has experienced the same highs and lows as most others, but their successes – which include a small handful of recordings, a bigger handful of tours, and appearances in video games – have been felt at a deeper clip because they’ve essentially managed everything themselves.” (Mouchido EP 2016) – Decibel Magazine
“In a word, the music rips. And it also thunders, and punches so fast and hard that it’s like a jackhammer-sized nail gun ramming bolts into concrete at high speed while the operator howls and shrieks for all he’s worth, segmented by a start-stop breakdown that will give your skull a good rattling and lit up by swarming guitar flurries that are as fiery as the torches in the video (Burn).” (Mouchido EP 2016) – No Clean Singing

Athens-based folk melodic death metal force Kosmogonia have released the official guitar playthrough video for “Oblivion”, a powerful, emotionally charged track from their sophomore album “Aella”.
WATCH THE VIDEO HERE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EPmAvghJ2B0

Driven by aggressive riffing, melodic lead work, and dark pagan atmospheres, “Oblivion” captures the band’s distinctive fusion of melodic death metal ferocity, symphonic arrangements, and evocative folk elements. The playthrough video offers an up-close look at the intricate guitar interplay and dynamic songwriting that shape Kosmogonia’s sound – balancing mythological grandeur with modern extreme metal intensity.
Formed in Athens in 2015, Kosmogonia have steadily established themselves within the European folk and melodic death metal scene through a sound deeply rooted in ancient mythology, pagan traditions, and epic storytelling. Their second full-length album, “Aella,” received strong praise across Europe and Latin America, earning recognition from Metal Hammer Portugal and expanding the band’s international visibility. Through Rockshots Records, the album now reaches a broader international audience while the band simultaneously works on new material for its next studio chapter.
Set in 350 B.C., “Aella” tells a tragic story of war, destiny, and forbidden emotion following the encounter between the Scythian princess Aella and the Greek mercenary Lykon during a brutal conflict between civilizations. Across the album, Kosmogonia combine dual vocal dynamics, atmospheric flute passages, layered orchestrations, and modern melodic death metal aggression into a powerful and immersive listening experience.
For fans of Eluveitie, Ensiferum, Epica, and Nightwish.

Biography
Formed in Athens in 2015, Kosmogonia fuse folk melodies and symphonic textures with the ferocity of melodic death metal. Founders Kostas Magalios (guitar/vocals) and Christos Drosos (guitar) debuted with the demo “Fallen Pegasus” and, later that year, a self-released EP. After a stylistic shift in 2017 marked by the single “Triiris,” the band built momentum through Greek festival appearances and international radio play. Their debut album, titled “Enthrone the Gods,” released in 2020, earned a 9.1/10 average review score, a Metal Hammer Portugal mention, and multiple chart placements across Europe and Latin America. Despite the pandemic, Kosmogonia accepted an invitation to Hammer Fest XIV in Birmingham – rescheduled to February 2023 – and delivered a standout performance at the O₂ Academy alongside genre stalwarts such as Lordi and Primordial. Now five years on from their formation, the band returned with “Aella” (January 2025), expanding their epic scope with richer orchestrations and guest folk instruments. With strong international press, radio support, and a dedicated fanbase, Kosmogonia stands poised for extensive touring and further mythic adventures.

“This album is the culmination of over a decade of work, and we’re excited to finally be able to share it with the world! It contains a personal story that I think many can relate to, while also containing a crazy esoteric concept, for those who are into that sort of thing. The album as a whole covers a huge breadth of metal sound. You can hear all kinds of different influences throughout, but it all comes together as what I consider its own thing, very much. Many of the songs are relatively long, with a good bit of complexity, but I think we’ve done a good job of making everything flow in such a way that it really just brings the listener on a journey. It gets really heavy, but has so many unexpected and even victorious moments that I think truly set it apart. I’m really proud of what we’ve created here, and look forward to sharing what else we’ve got in store! Solomon Smith – Guitar/Vocals – Entropist

About The Album Artwork:
The artwork was painted on canvas by my amazingly talented wife, Shannon Bortfeldt. It’s an impressionist depiction of the defining moments that open up the album’s story, as well as a powerful compliment to darker themes of dread and disillusionment that pervade its first arcs. I believe the artwork speaks better than I can to the intense emotional concepts here, and in the interest of leaving the concept a bit up to interpretation, I’ll simply say that the first few songs are told from the perspective of the entities seen there. Solomon Smith – Vocalist
About the album as a whole (LYRICALLY & MUSICALLY):
A powerful and visionary progressive metal odyssey. Largely through-composed, the album explores a vast array of soundscapes and flavors of metal to tell its intertwined stories. Solomon Smith – guitar/vocals
Track by Track (LYRICALLY & MUSICALLY):
1. Intense Warmth – This song is one of my favorites because it just keeps building up throughout the majority of the song. It begins in a relatively traditional manner with a clean guitar intro, but I think the moment the listener hears the walls of vocals come in, it’s clear they’re listening to something different. It’s got some big chords that come with a melodic bass solo before some fast double bass kicks us into the main riff of the song. The driving riff suddenly transitions into this huge breakdown before the song gradually cools off. The song is largely written from the perspective of one of the characters from the album’s concept becoming disillusioned with his world, and dreaming about the possibilities of changing it.
2. Devour Us – This song gives the listener a moment to breathe by starting with an acoustic guitar intro with a beautiful violin solo played by a friend of ours before jumping right back into some technical metal riffing. I think this is one of the more unique main riffs, with guitars jumping between unison and harmony parts with the bass while the drums hold everything together. The song then slows down for a bridge with odd time signatures and droning guitars, while Parker and I trade off call-and-response vocals before kicking into a faster, thrashy part. Everything stops for a moment as the vocals summon the void itself before Will rips this nasty but tasteful solo for the outro. Devour Us is where the album’s concept and connection to the real world start to blur a bit, relating to themes of struggling with seclusion, mundanity, and futility
3. I Hunger – A real crusher, this one. Meant to represent the voice of the all-consuming void, this song is arguably the heaviest on the album: a slow, sinister, and powerful wall of sound. It features heavily downtuned guitars and is largely driven by the drums and vocals. We actually wrote the lyrics for this one before everything else, writing the rest around, making it all sound as colossal as possible.
4. The Ritual – This song comes in with an eerie vibe, with the chords and melodies all creating a slightly unsettled atmosphere, accompanied by the sounds of strange creatures calling in the dark. We then dive into a fast, techy passage with brutal screams, blast beats, the like that culminates into a heavily syncopated breakdown where Parker and I trade off vocal parts. The bridge gives the listener a chance to breathe, with the bass holding down a pensive chord progression under lush vocal harmonies featuring everyone in the band. The drums kick us into a fun little part that brings us right back into the heaviness for the outro. The lyrics are largely correlated to the concept, but explore the unease and potentially devastating consequences of being at the wrong place at the wrong time.
5. Desert of Limbo – This song is where the album really begins to diverge from more traditional metal sounds. The structure comes in waves, starting with an evocative clean passage in a deceptively pleasant odd time signature. We decided to get pretty experimental with the vocal melodies and harmonies here, and I think it came together well with the unique rhythms and chord changes the bass holds down. The song quickly gains energy and explodes into a breakdown with fierce vocals on top before flipping into this techy part with a tapping solo over a complex chugging from the rhythm section. We bring it down a bit for a tasty drum and bass part with some really echoey screams before transitioning into some duelling guitar solos. We hand it back to the bass and drums for a fun instrumental part that leads into a heavy, slow breakdown before the song climaxes with big chords and vocal harmonies. This song is really about both losing yourself in the trials and complexities of life, but also finding yourself through the paths you take.
6. The Wandering – The instrumental track! This one explores some of the craziest parts and time signatures and gives the rhythm section a chance to show off a bit, though we aimed to keep it as tasteful as we could throughout. It’s got tasty bass licks, fun guitar harmonies, tricky rhythms, unique chord changes and, of course, some sick solos. We love playing this one live, and it gives us an opportunity to mix things up with some improv.
7. Creation – The beginning of the final arc of the album. Sonically and lyrically, there’s a clear contrast here, the themes related to making something new and bringing about the world you want to see. This one starts with some big and bright-sounding chords where the drums give the whole thing momentum that drives us into some proggy intro riffage. This ultimately settles into a Parker delivering a meditative verse part where Will plays this tasty guitar lick over some percussive bass and drums. We quickly build it up into this powerful driving part with a combination of chords and djenty rhythms before taking it into the second verse. The second verse leads into a huge chorus part with soaring vocals and huge chords that climax into one of the heaviest breakdowns on the album. We bring it back to the chorus chord change for this gorgeous and victorious solo from Will before closing out with some heavy rhythms and huge crowd vocals.
8. Revelation – This song represents both the beginning and end of an era for me, to say the least. It’s about the elation of self-actualization, the feeling of having not only overcome one’s challenges and personal failings, but bringing forward positive movement in the world. It encapsulates and concludes both the album’s concept and the story of its own realization. It’s easily our most ambitious song, with all kinds of thematic and lyrical callbacks to the other songs on the album, the wildest riffs and rhythms, and just over a 14-minute runtime. The composition ranges from triumphant guitar lead harmonies to complex chugging rhythms, to spicy drum & bass parts, to soaring choruses. The whole thing ends in an epic and emotional passage that I think ties a perfect bow on the album.

STORY ANGLES / FUN FACTS ABOUT THE BAND
1. We met back in 2013 while going to college in Greeley, CO. Solomon, Jeremy, and Parker were all roommates at the time, and our drummer, Matt, was our back door neighbor. We all bonded quickly over our love for prog metal and djent. We would carpool down to Denver for shows all the time and would always get together to jam new albums together when they came out. This eventually turned into us jamming together. Solomon had written a few songs at the time (some of which are on this album), and we ended up setting up Matt’s drum set in our living room so we could learn them together. We later all moved away from Greeley, and the music quickly came to a halt. Years later, when COVID hit, Solomon ended up rekindling the music. He hit everyone up, and we started getting back in touch with each other. Lots of long nights chatting in Discord, lots of sharing of guitar pro files, bouncing ideas back and forth. This was the start of Entropist. We ended up meeting Will through a mutual friend, which took Entropist to a new level with his guitar style and creativity. We had a handful of songs written, we now had a full band of devoted guys, and we knew that this had potential. Parker – Vocals
2. We ended up choosing Jamie King to mix/master this album because we are big fans of Between the Buried and Me and The Contortionist, and both of those bands have worked with him. Some of our favorite albums of all time were mixed by Jamie King, and it was a big goal of ours to make sure he got his hands on this album. Needless to say, the final product far exceeded our expectations. Parker – Vocals
3. We did not originally intend to have group vocals with all 5 of us members on the album, but during the recording process, we all decided on the spot that we should give it a try. The group yelling/chanting at the end of “Creation” was added on the spot, as well as the layered vocal harmonies during the bridge on “The Ritual”. Parker – Vocals

Entropist is emerging as one of progressive metal’s most compelling new voices, delivering a sound that vocalist Parker Kitching describes as “a love letter to metal.” Blending the ambition of prog with the weight of deathcore, the precision of djent, and the emotion of post‑hardcore, the band crafts a sweeping, cinematic style rooted in both technical mastery and raw storytelling.
Formed from a decade‑long bond between Solomon Smith (guitar/vocals), Parker Kitching (vocals), Jeremy Smith (bass), and Matt Gleason (drums), the band’s origins trace back to 2013 in Greeley, Colorado, where the members first connected as college roommates and neighbors. After years of jamming, drifting apart, and reconnecting during the COVID era, Entropist solidified its lineup with the addition of guitarist Will Vinson, whose creativity pushed the project into its fully realized form.
Their debut album “The Vision” marks a bold entrance, a dual‑layered concept record that intertwines a fantastical narrative of demons, celestial beings, and the void with a grounded exploration of mental struggle, nihilism, and the search for meaning. Written largely from the perspectives of characters within the story, the album is designed as a front‑to‑back experience, filled with recurring motifs, callbacks, and evolving themes.
The band’s sonic identity is shaped heavily by influences like Between the Buried and Me, Meshuggah, Opeth, and The Contortionist, yet their approach remains distinctly their own. Solomon’s intricate compositions form the backbone of the record, while the rest of the band shaped the material through relentless collaboration, late‑night Discord sessions, shared files, and constant experimentation.
To bring the album’s massive sound to life, Entropist enlisted renowned producer Jamie King, whose work with BTBAM and The Contortionist helped define modern progressive metal. His mixing and mastering elevated the band’s wide‑ranging ideas into a cohesive, powerful whole. The album’s visual identity comes from a hand‑painted canvas by Solomon’s wife, Shannon Bortfeldt, whose impressionist artwork captures the emotional and narrative weight of the story’s opening moments.
Entropist has already shared the stage with Nightwraith, So This Is Suffering, Eternal Bloom, The Dawn Chose Orion, WOR, and Fused by Defiance, bringing their intense, immersive sound to audiences ready for something both heavy and deeply atmospheric.
With a debut that spans genres, tells a sweeping story, and showcases the band’s technical and emotional range, Entropist is poised to make a significant impact on the modern metal landscape. Their music is ambitious, meticulously crafted, and driven by a genuine passion for the genre, and this is only the beginning.

“Long-time listeners usually look for emotional continuity, lyrics, themes, or a sound that feels them authentically, even if the production evolves. If that connection is there, reception tends to be warm even when the style shifts. We seek to deepen and solidify the bond with those who have accompanied us for years, acknowledging their loyalty and the enduring connection that has grown alongside our music. The Violence of Time is an album aimed at every true old-school metal devotee, those drawn to the raw spirit of thrash, the darkness of black metal, and the severity of death metal. It is an invitation to listeners who grew up with the foundations of extreme metal, but who still seek intensity, conviction, and relevance.” – Eternal Drak

“This is some pretty good Blackened Thrash that has sick riffs, icy tremolos and eerie harmonies with some solos added to keep it interesting, add it to your lists. Rating: 8.1/10 – Drako Metal Reviews (The Violence of Time – 2026)
“another great sounding recording from Eternal Drak and if you are a fan of blackened thrash metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE “We Force It To Speak” “The Blasphemy Of Time” “Where Cause Is Buried” and “The Cosmos Reject You”. 8 out of 10.” – Bringer of Death Webzine
“A fine collection from the masters of ancient evil” – Metal Noise (The Warrior Order – 2025)
“There’s evil intent at the start of next song “Eternal Drak” something I’d expect as it’s named after the band. Again, the trio are delving into themes of dark forces and mythical battles, but they have upped the intensity on this one as it sounds more powerful. It’s hard not to imagine a town or castle besieged by dragon’s fire and the hellish earth that awaits any survivors.” – The Razor’s Edge (The Warrior Order – 2025)
“another great sounding recording from Eternal Drak and if you are a fan of blackened thrash metal, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE “Oda A La Luna” and “La Nueva Orden”. 8 out of 10.” – Bringer of Death Zine (The Warrior Order – 2025)
“„Eternal Drak“ is a small grab bag. Here they use different tempos that fit into the fast, rhythmic sound. With an extremely thrashy and vocally aggressive sound, you always have to be prepared for changing rhythms and moods. An extremely brutal melody blows with us „La nueva Order“ counter. At the end of the „EP“ they take a Metallica song from the album „Master of Puppets“ before. „Leper Messiah“ rewound in a radical version. Just as the album title says: they implement the warrior code musically.” – Hellfire Magazin (The Warrior Order – 2025)
“The Warrior Order is a real surprise and shows a completely new face of ETERNAL DRAK,” – PowerMetal.de (The Warrior Order – 2025)
““Oda A La Luna” sees a powerful drum at the beginning, before the rhythm settles in this dark ode. The lyrical theme is one of rebellion and ritual, and you can feel the intensity with each slap on the snare. The middle section has a sudden tempo change, with a riff that will get your head moving and the intensity follows through.” – The Razor’s Edge (The Warrior Order – 2025)
“This is a pretty good EP that’s got plenty of thrashy riffs, grooves and black metal harmonies and tremolos, give this a spin. ” – Drako’s Metal Reviews (The Warrior Order – 2025)
“”Drak Metal” is an excellent album, a deserving addition to any metalhead’s collection. With a few specific focuses here and there, the combination of Black and Thrash and Groove metals is done with near perfect balance, so there should be a wide appeal. ” – Metal Temple (2024 – Imprisoned Souls)
“the album comes with a sharp and grim expression set to an appropriately dark mood and mode, and in terms of mood and atmosphere this album did remind me ever so slightly of Celtic Frost, even if the music itself is rather different. That being said, I would imagine that quite a few thrash metal fans that also enjoy a little bit extreme metal as well as a band like aforementioned Celtic Frost would feel right at home with the landscapes explored on this production.” – The Viking in the Wilderness (2024 – Imprisoned Souls)
“‘Drak Metal’ is actually very enjoyable… it has a supreme raw quality to it which gives the album a sense honest integrity that just means that the listener cannot get enough of it, that passion is infectious and is more than enough to say, more of the same guys… more of the same.” – Metal Digest (2021 – Drak Metal)

About The Album Artwork:
The image represents the structural spine of the album, a visual interpretation of the rupture and destruction of the traditional concept of time. Past and present are shown coexisting, bound together yet simultaneously under attack at their very foundation: the river of time itself.
This collision reflects the album’s central idea, where time is no longer linear or stable, but fractured and eroded. By striking at its base, the image symbolizes the collapse of chronological certainty, exposing time as something violent, unstable, and ultimately indefinable.
About the album as a whole (LYRICALLY & MUSICALLY):
The album frames time as a hostile force—not as a neutral medium or an abstract measure. Time does not accompany human beings; it subdues them. It does not flow; it imposes. It does not advance; it erodes. It does not reveal meaning; it destroys it.
Time is a constant pressure that distorts memory, identity, and causality. Everything human beings think they understand <past, present, future> is a mental adaptation designed to survive, not to describe reality.
Track by Track (LYRICALLY & MUSICALLY):
1. We Force It To Speak
Understanding changes things. The sixth break was personal. Trying to understand time doesn’t reveal it. It distorts it. Explanation isn’t neutral.
Observation isn’t passive. Two people describing the same moment don’t agree because there is no single version to agree on. Truth isn’t discovered.
It’s enforced. Time doesn’t lie. We force it to make sense.
2. The Unborn Paths Rot
Most futures are already dead; the fifth idea changed how I think about tomorrow. There isn’t one future. There are too many. Most of them never make it. Outcomes appear and collapse without ever becoming real. Paths that existed just long enough to fail. Sometimes I see traces—effects without decisions, warnings written for events that never happened. The future doesn’t open.
It closes constantly. Time doesn’t choose. It lets everything happen and abandons most of it. I changed.
3. Me Hice Simultaneo
Attention feeds time. The eighth realization was uncomfortable.
Time gets stronger where it’s watched. Fear makes the present heavier.
Hope stretches the pressure longer. Obsession speeds everything up.
Ignoring time doesn’t stop it. It just spreads it out. We don’t control time.
We make it harsher.
4. The Blasphemy of Time
Time doesn’t move. The first thing I understood was simple and unbearable:
Time doesn’t flow. Nothing really goes forward. Nothing stays behind.
The past doesn’t leave. It stays stacked on top of everything else, still active, still pushing. Memories aren’t echoes. They’re in contact. Every time I remembered something, I wasn’t revisiting it. I was touching it again. That’s when memory stopped being comfort. It became pressure.
5. Chaos Is the Law
Disorder is normal. The second thing was harder to accept. Chaos isn’t a mistake. It’s how time works. Order is the exception. Stability is temporary.
Everything that tries to stay fixed starts breaking down faster. Systems. Stories. Identities. History isn’t falling apart by accident. It’s doing what time expects it to do. Time doesn’t preserve anything. It wears it down on purpose.
6. Where Cause Is Buried
Tomorrow edits yesterday. The seventh idea broke the cause and effect. Some things only make sense after they happen. Some causes seem to exist only to justify results. Origins don’t matter anymore. Consistency does. Responsibility gets blurry. Blame loses its shape. Time doesn’t reward or punish. It rewrites until the story holds together.
7. Across the Watching Veils
8. Breathing Once Again
When you contemplate the relentless impact of time, your perception begins to shift; your senses warp, and the sweetness of life’s joys fades, while the disasters you endure seem to lose their weight. The tragedies you witness were never truly yours to command, because everything has already unfolded.
9. The Cosmos Rejects You
Human scale doesn’t matter. The fourth realization was humiliating. Years. Decades. Lifetimes. These are human units, not real ones. On the scale time actually uses, a human life barely registers. Too short to matter. Too small to leave a mark. Nothing lasts long enough to be important. Nothing ends cleanly enough to be finished. Time doesn’t care. It doesn’t even notice.
10. No Direction Total War
There is no direction. The third break destroyed the idea of “before” and “after.” Time doesn’t point anywhere. The present isn’t special. It’s just where awareness happens to be stuck. The future doesn’t wait. It pushes back. Some choices feel forced by outcomes I don’t understand yet. Some warnings arrive only after the damage is done. Time doesn’t guide you. It boxes you in from every side.

Eternal Drak is a band based in Quebec, Canada, but born in Latin America in the 90s. Thrash Black is the genre that has always been present but has varied over time by adding different touches that enrich the style. In its lyrical content, darkness is what has reigned over the pen; human and non-human darkness have manifested themselves in different ways in each of their 7 official productions. Currently signed with the Canadian Label FirstWave
In 1997, the Martínez brothers, Drakar and Warhammer, aged 17 and 15 respectively, began the foundations of “Eternal Drak”. In 1998, rhythm guitarist Oscar Layton (Reijav) joined the band.
At the beginning of the 21st century, “Eternal Drak” won the City TV network award for best Metal video, with the song Eternal Drak,
In 2002, “Eternal Drak” published its first album (EP) “La Resurreccion De La Orden Guerrera”
In 2005, they recorded their first Long Play “Eternal Drak” but officially released release was in 2012.
In 2007, “Eternal Drak” disbanded.
In 2020, the band moved to Quebec, Canada, and Drakar, Warmessiah, and Reijav came together to create the album “The Past is Gone, A New One is Coming”. In memory of his brother and friend, co-founder and eternal drummer of “Eternal Drak”, Eduardo Martínez, Warhammer.
In 2021, the band’s third Long Play was released, “Drak Metal”, an album with 12 unreleased songs and 1 Cover.
That same year, the band’s line-up was reorganized with the addition of Juan Francisco Avella on drums, and a contract was signed with the Italian label Wormhole Death to physically release the album Drak Metal.
In 2022, the 4th studio album, “Shadow Storm”, was released, and along with it the video clip HIDE YOUR MADNESS was recorded on the Orleans Island in Quebec, Canada.
In 2023, a 2nd Ep is released, “Interdimensional War Of Satan” with 5 tracks.
In 2024, the 5th Long Play “Imprisoned Souls” is released with 10 Tracks.
The Line Up is renewed with Mike Amyot (Lead guitar) and Patrick Auger (Drums)
In 2025, a 3th EP, “The Warrior Order,” with 5 tracks.
Currently, Eternal Drak is still more alive than ever and is determined to live up to its name to continue distorting its strings, hitting its drums, strumming its voice, with more Metal, melody, and harmony than ever.
The perspectives predict that its vibrations start from North America, crossing the entire American continent, with a resonance so strong that the waves of the Pacific and the Atlantic will make them travel to the other continents.

Fresh off the release of their debut album “This Is The Way,” West Coast extreme‑metal force Gravemass has announced a run of Western Canadian tour dates for summer 2026. The trek, appropriately titled “This Is The Way Tour 2026,” will see the band unleash their ferocious live assault across British Columbia and Alberta from July 31st to August 8th (dates listed below).
The tour follows the eruption of “This Is The Way,” a debut forged from decades of West Coast metal lineage. Featuring members of Zimmers Hole, Punch Drunk, 3 Inches of Blood, Revocation, Just Cause, West of Hell, Savannah, Process, Subversion, and The Golers, Gravemass is the convergence of long‑standing forces within Vancouver’s extreme‑music underground.
Guitarist Mayan Hate, who wrote the album’s music in an intense two‑month burst, describes the project as a natural evolution among lifelong friends.
“We’re all West Coast metal heads who’ve known each other for decades. I wrote the music between breaks in other projects and showed it to Lorde Heathen. He immediately wanted in. From there, we recruited the rest of the band, guys we’ve all known forever.”
Vocalist Lorde Heathen also adds.
“Brutal, angry, fast, dark, and evil, this album delivers exactly that: an unrelenting barrage of sinister riffing, death‑metal vocal ferocity, and rhythmic devastation. It draws from the chaos of the modern world. All the lyrics come from the shit‑hole world order that exists right now.”
While “This Is The Way” was written by Mayan Hate with lyrics by Lorde Heathen, the band confirms that album two is already underway and will be a fully collaborative effort.
Gravemass will also appear at Loud As Hell Open Air Festival 2026, joining a stacked lineup featuring Fallujah, Allegaeon, Summoning the Lich, Crimson Shadows, Edge of Paradise, and more. Festival info is available at https://www.loudashell.ca.
Known for channeling the ferocity of their influences, Slayer, Venom, Morbid Angel, Watain, and Napalm Death, Gravemass promises a live show that is nothing short of a full‑scale assault.
“The live show is where we bring it all together. We want to bring this experience to the masses,” says Lorde Heathen.
With “This Is The Way” unleashed March 6, 2026, via End Game Records Inc., Gravemass now turns its focus to the stage, marking the beginning of a new chapter in West Coast extreme metal. More music, more brutality, and a deeper collaborative evolution lie ahead.

“Hold on to your hats, buds. Your eyes and ears are in for a blinding treat. Canada’s black/death metal band GraveMass just released the aural assault known as “Fallen.” The song and the video are delightfully overwhelming. ” – Metal Sucks
““Fallen” is a brutal, pummeling track with vocals that range from a guttural growl to a nasal screech, creating a blistering death metal assault. The black-and-white video with its flashing lights and quick cuts combines imagery of nature and religion in a way that perfectly complements the sonic onslaught of the video. It’s a breakneck track that leaves carnage in its wake, and you’ll want to check it out.” – New Noise Magazine
“Gravemass Deliver Evil with Latest Single & Video, “Fallen”” – V13
“Well now, isn’t this one hell of a supergroup? Love the term or loathe it, here it really does count, especially as far as the Canadian metal scene goes. Gravemass are here, and with them comes a vitriolic death metal release that takes elements of the genre’s old-school ferocity and blends it with modern groove and energy. A release that clocks in at just under thirty minutes, ensuring it doesn’t overstay its welcome. Though there’s no short-changing here as we have ten tracks and across them a cacophony of violent, snarling, hyperactive blasts of heaviness that will thrill all those who love extreme metal. I’m one of them and Gravemass really do it for me. I think this is a beast of a record and found myself compelled to head-bang almost all the way through it.” – Games, Brrraaains & A Head-Banging Life
“Originally from Vancouver and including former members of Zimmers Hole, 3 Inches Of Blood, Revocation, and Punch Drunk, Gravemass has only one goal: to offer solid, effective, and slightly crazy death metal. The codes are known, but their interpretation is puzzling, largely due to structures that are more punk than metal and unusual sounds (among other things in the rhythms). And with only ten tracks, totaling twenty-nine minutes, Gravemass leaves little time to understand what is happening. 4/5” – Metallian
“This Is the Way is a flawless debut. It manages to feel nostalgic for the golden era of death metal while sounding fresh, mean, and modern. If you crave music that is “brutal, angry, fast, dark, and evil,” this is your new obsession. Essential Tracks: Slaves to Pain, Horned King, Fallen. 10/10″ – Broken Neck Radio
“Festering, ferocious, and fierce, This Is the Way is nothing short of extreme zealotry — a masterclass in chaos with a sinister edge. It snaps the synapses of the sacred and dives headfirst into the devil within the divine. If you love death, black, and speed metal, then This Is the Way is absolutely for you. As a matter of fact, I now have my own Gravemass name — Fucking Legend. Perfectly apt, if you ask me. This Is the Way by Gravemass is intense and exceptionally powerful. Don’t sleep on this album — word is the second album already has three songs ready to go, with a more collaborative approach already in motion. With their debut now unleashed via End Game Records, Gravemass mark the beginning of a new chapter in West Coast extreme metal — and if this is just the beginning, we’re in for one hell of a ride. The world is going to hell in a fucking handbasket, and Gravemass aren’t afraid to tell you exactly how it is. This Is the Way is the Luciferian aural bible. The end of all that is sacred. The Necronomicon of blackened death metal.” – Crannk
“Honestly, this is half an hour of brutal excellence. From the insane riffing to the thunderous, relentless drumming to the brutal screams, it’s all so good. It almost has a pretty hardcore energy to it too, none of the tracks overstaying their welcome, being balls-to-the-wall and straight to the point! And every song flows pretty excellently; every track being as good as the last! And, for a debut album and a band that seemingly haven’t been around all too long, this is amazing stuff! They should be a lot bigger than they are already, and hopefully this album pushes them to new heights! From the opener to ‘Harvest of Souls’ to the bands namesake track, there are definitely highlights. Though, as I said before, there isn’t a bad track throughout! And it still has an air of epicness throughout that made me even more hooked. They have a VERY bright future ahead of them, and if you are at all into a more death-leaning metal sound, I cannot recommend this enough. It gets an incredibly solid 8.5/10 from us!” – Overtone Magazine
“For me Gravemass made a statement with this album. They are here to stay. They are damn good and delivered a jaw dropping album. This is extreme metal that will blow you away. This album was made for a mosh pit. I give the album the perfect 10.” – Project Metal Music
“A rain shower becomes a thunder storm as the intensity increases dramatically with title track “This Is The Way“, the gang chanted “1, 2, 3, 4!” something that will go down well in the live arena. Soaked in blasphemous rhetoric that bleeds Black Metal inspirations, the band bring the hammer down with enough force to split more than a few skulls. The rhythmic battery feels like a blunt force trauma as the band refuse to re-invent the wheel, instead opting for something of depraved atmospheres that is both dark and insanely good fun. ” – Metal Noise
“The opening notes of “This Is the Way” don’t just set a mood: they trigger a pure survival instinct. As soon as the “1, 2, 3, 4!” gang-chant explodes on the title track, the rest of the world instantly fades away. This isn’t an album you just listen to; it’s an adrenaline surge that hits you full force, and every second of the carnage is a total blast…. If you live for the dark, fast, and visceral, imagine a heavy encounter between Slayer and Morbid Angel in a dark alley, this record is your new obsession for 2026. Get ready, because their appearance at the Loud As Hell festival this summer is already looking like a total field of ruins.” – Papy Jeff Metal
“Basically, I can easily enjoy a record like “This Is The Way” from the first to the last second” – PowerMetal.de
“the album impresses with its energy, solid songwriting and powerful production. For fans of dark, aggressive extreme metal, this album is definitely worth it. Conclusion: »This Is The Way« of GRAVEMASS is a strong album that will delight fans of blackened death metal and deathcore alike.” – MetalUnderground.at
“The production on this one packs a punch but still feels human, which is needed with songwriting like that that just feels sinister in all of the right ways. Gravemass is the kind of band that you spin to forget your troubles, as it just sucks you in for all 10 tracks and almost 30 minutes of length, then you will instantly start it over. We need something like that now more than ever.” – Heavy Debriefings
“With “Fallen,” GraveMass offers a glimpse into what promises to be a searing, unholy debut album. It’s a declaration of intent—and a brutal reminder that Canadian metal is as fierce and alive as ever.” – See Rock Live

Prog Metal Newcomers ENTROPIST Introduces Its Concept Album “The Vision” Through “Creation”
Produced, Mixed, and Mastered by Jamie King (BTBAM, The Contortionist)
Debut Album “The Vision” Out June 26th, 2026

Colorado progressive metal outfit Entropist has officially announced their debut full‑length album, “The Vision,” accompanied by the release of their first single and lyric video, “Creation.” The track marks the band’s first official introduction to the metal world, offering a powerful glimpse into the album’s sweeping concept and genre‑spanning sound.
Formed through a decade‑long bond between guitarist/vocalist Solomon Smith, vocalist Parker Kitching, bassist Jeremy Smith, and drummer Matt Gleason, Entropist began in 2013 when the members met as college roommates and neighbors in Greeley, Colorado. After years of jamming, drifting apart, and reconnecting during the COVID era, the band solidified its lineup with the addition of guitarist Will Vinson, whose creativity helped elevate the project into its fully realized form.
“The Vision” is a bold, cinematic progressive metal odyssey built on a dual‑concept narrative: one story set in a fantastical world of demons, celestial beings, and the void, and another grounded in real‑life themes of mental struggle, nihilism, and the search for meaning. Written largely from the perspectives of characters within the story, the album is designed to be experienced from start to finish, with recurring motifs, callbacks, and evolving themes woven throughout.
Musically, the record spans progressive metal, djent, deathcore, metalcore, and post‑hardcore influences, while maintaining a cohesive identity. Fans of Between the Buried and Me, Meshuggah, Opeth, and The Contortionist will find familiar touchpoints, yet Entropist’s voice remains distinctly their own.
To bring the album’s massive sound to life, the band partnered with acclaimed producer Jamie King, whose work with BTBAM and The Contortionist helped define modern progressive metal. His mixing and mastering elevated the album’s intricate compositions into a unified, powerful whole.
The album’s artwork, an impressionist painting by Solomon’s wife, Shannon Bortfeldt, captures the emotional and narrative weight of the album’s opening arcs.
“This album is the culmination of over a decade of work. It contains a personal story that many can relate to, while also containing a crazy esoteric concept for those who are into that sort of thing. It gets really heavy, but has so many unexpected and even victorious moments that truly set it apart,” says guitarist/vocalist Solomon Smith.
Vocalist Parker Kitching adds, “This album is our love letter to metal. When it gets heavy, it gets very heavy, but it also has moments that let you breathe. We want listeners to feel like they’re going on a journey.”
The band’s first single, “Creation,” introduces listeners to the album’s final narrative arc. The track blends bright, triumphant chords, intricate rhythms, soaring vocals, and one of the heaviest breakdowns on the record. 0 France’s KINGCROWN Unveils Single “Lost Horizon” From New Album “Moonfall” Out Sept 2026
NEWS RELEASE
Montreal, QC – May 1, 2026
France’s KINGCROWN Unveils Single “Lost Horizon” From New Album “Moonfall” Out Sept 2026
|
|
French melodic heavy/power metal band Kingcrown return with “Lost Horizon“, the first single taken from their forthcoming album “Moonfall“, due for release on September 4th, 2026, via Rockshots Records.
Following the strong reception of “Nova Atlantis“, the band opens a new chapter with a track that immediately reinforces their identity while expanding the narrative framework introduced in previous releases.
“Lost Horizon” serves as a direct sequel to “Endless Journey“, continuing a storyline rooted in time distortion and speculative fiction. The track follows a WWII B-17 pilot suddenly caught in a temporal vortex and propelled into the year 2045, merging amazing storytelling with a tightly constructed heavy/power metal framework.
Musically, the single is driven by fast-paced riffing, dynamic vocal delivery, and an anthemic, hook-oriented chorus, balancing immediacy with structural precision. The band’s approach remains firmly grounded in the European heavy/power metal tradition. At the same time, the production handled by Kingcrown and refined through mixing and mastering by Simone Mularoni (Domination Studio) delivers clarity, weight, and definition across the entire sonic spectrum.
Founded by brothers Jo Amore (vocals) and David Amore (drums), former members of Nightmare, Kingcrown have progressively built a cohesive and recognizable identity within the European metal landscape. The current lineup – Jo Amore, David Amore, Sébastien Chabot (bass), Bob Saliba (guitars), and Ced Legger (guitars) – continues to operate with a strong sense of continuity, a key factor in the band’s increasingly focused sound.
With “Moonfall“, Kingcrown further develops a conceptual direction centered on dystopian themes, technological evolution, and the fragility of human existence. Within this context, “Lost Horizon” stands as a fundamental entry point – introducing both the narrative scope and the sonic approach that define the album.

About:
Kingcrown is a French melodic heavy/power metal band founded by brothers Jo Amore (vocals) and David Amore (drums), both former members of Nightmare.
The project traces its origins back to 2015 with the band Öblivïon, formed following their departure from Nightmare. After the release of Resilience, the group adopted the name Kingcrown in 2018, marking the beginning of a more defined artistic direction rooted in the European heavy/power metal tradition.
From the outset, Kingcrown established a sound built on strong melodic structures, dynamic riffing, and a clear emphasis on songwriting effectiveness. Drawing from the legacy of bands such as Iron Maiden, Helloween, and Gamma Ray, the band combines classic influences with a modern production approach, resulting in a sound that is both accessible and structurally solid.
Following the release of “A Perfect World” (2019) and “Wake Up Call” (2022), Kingcrown entered a new phase with “Nova Atlantis” (2024), released via Rockshots Records. The album marked a clear step forward in terms of cohesion, production quality and conceptual direction, receiving strong feedback from both audiences and specialized media.
Building on this momentum, the band continues its collaboration with Rockshots Records for “Moonfall“, scheduled for release in 2026. The new album further develops Kingcrown’s identity through a more focused songwriting approach and a broader conceptual framework centered on dystopian themes, technological evolution, and temporal dislocation.
The first single, “Lost Horizon“, expands the narrative universe introduced in “Nova Atlantis“, acting as a direct sequel to “Endless Journey” and introducing a time-travel storyline in which a WWII B-17 pilot is propelled into the year 2045. This approach reflects the band’s growing interest in combining structured songwriting with narrative continuity.
Kingcrown’s current lineup – Jo Amore (vocals), David Amore (drums), Sébastien Chabot (bass), Bob Saliba (guitars), and Ced Legger (guitars) – has remained stable across recent releases, contributing to a consistent and cohesive musical direction.
With a steadily evolving discography and a clear artistic vision, Kingcrown has established itself as a credible presence within the European metal scene, balancing melodic immediacy, conceptual depth, and production precision.

0 A Hero’s Journey Begins! Fantasy Metal SIEGE PERILOUS Unveils Video “Child of Prophecy” Off New Album “Becoming The Dragon” Out Now! (ft. guests Fabio Lione, Kristin Starkey)
NEWS RELEASE

A Hero’s Journey Begins! Fantasy Metal SIEGE PERILOUS’ Unveils Video “Child of Prophecy”
New Album “Becoming The Dragon” Out Now!
Album Guests Fabio Lione (Rhapsody, Angra) and Kristin Starkey (Twilight Force, Temperance)

Colorado power‑metal storytellers Siege Perilous have released the brand‑new lyric video for “Child of Prophecy”, a pivotal early chapter from their recently released full‑length concept album “Becoming the Dragon”.
“Child of Prophecy” marks the moment destiny first awakens within the album’s protagonist, a young hero burdened by a prophecy he neither trusts nor understands. Musically, the track blends Iron Maiden‑inspired melodies, galloping riffs, and the band’s signature cinematic flair, setting the emotional foundation for the journey ahead.
The release continues the strong momentum built through earlier singles and media features, including premieres for “As the Dragon Falls” (ft. Fabio Lione), “Becoming the Dragon”, and “Echoes of Home” (ft. Kristin Starkey), as well as the band’s Kickstarter launch.
“Child of Prophecy” has one of the most unusual histories on the album. It was the first track ever written for “Becoming the Dragon” and helped inspire the overarching story, yet during pre‑production, something felt off.
The band had already completed drum tracking, and re‑recording would have derailed the entire budget. Enter guitarist Ryan Flanagan, who re‑arranged the entire song in just a day or two, keeping the original drums intact. The result is a tighter, more powerful version of the track, one that the band is deeply proud to share.
A ten‑part power‑metal epic of destiny, transformation, and myth. “Becoming the Dragon” is a cinematic journey following the “Child of Prophecy”, a young hero who first embraces, then rejects, and ultimately must confront his destiny. The story moves from mystery to tragedy to triumph, with each track reflecting a different emotional and musical landscape.
“Creating a massive, sweeping power metal epic has been a dream since before we even formed this band. Getting to sing alongside Fabio Lione, one of the voices that got me into metal, is an indescribable blessing, and having Kristin Starkey rip a power ballad with us is beyond anything we imagined. This album represents our collective experience, skill, hopes, and dreams as musicians, and we are thrilled for people to hear it finally,” adds vocalist Shaughnessy McDaniel.
Forged in the fires of fantasy and history, Siege Perilous is a Colorado‑based power metal band dedicated to crafting epic, cinematic, story‑driven music. The band was founded by Shaughnessy McDaniel (vocals), Scott Hancock (guitar), and Mark Girard (drums) after years of camaraderie in the same LARP community. Inspired by Unleash the Archers’ 2021 Denver performance, they set out to create their own mythic soundscape. They soon recruited Eric Fischer (bass) of the Celtic folk band The Stubby Shillelaghs and, in 2024, welcomed Ryan Flanagan to complete the lineup.
Their influences include Manowar, Battle Beast, Iron Maiden, Hammerfall, Sabaton, Blind Guardian, Rhapsody, Helloween, and Avantasia.

Siege Perilous Unleashes a Dragon-Slaying Debut – Westword Denver
“Denver, CO power-metal storytellers Siege Perilous launch their full-length Becoming the Dragon, which stands as a genre-defining concept album for the modern era.” – New Noise Magazine
“The debut album from this Colorado band is another fine example of just taking what makes power metal and epic heavy metal work and putting your own spin to it all.. with the excellent production and two awesome guest spots from Fabio Leone and Kristen Starky to give this just a little more cred and you having an album that is for anyone who enjoys the likes of Blind Guardian, Rapsidity, Krilloan, and Evermore. Excellent. Excellent music.” – Heavy Debriefings
“Becoming the Dragon is an excellent album in its own right, and it shows an up-and-coming band making great strides towards becoming a force to be reckoned with. Siege Perilous already had me interested with their previous EP, but this album shows them maturing in their delivery, as well as fleshing out their songwriting and showing signs of the kind of epic, fantasy-themed storytelling they’re capable of. Musically, it’s a very solid album, mostly staying in epic heavy metal territory, with brief flashes of power metal, and while vocalist Shaughnessy McDaniel is a tad unpolished at times, he makes up for it with power, energy and charisma in full supply. It’s obvious this is only the beginning for the band, and they have plenty of untapped potential, but it’s still a strong debut in its own right, and one I can easily recommend for fans of epic heavy metal and fantasy-themed power metal.” – My Global Mind Magazine
“With „Becoming The Dragon“ Siege Perilous follow in the big footsteps of bands like Avantasia, Iron Maiden and Blind Guardian. And the musicians do this extremely well. Great epic, sometimes bombastic sound, strong vocal direction and very good musicians make this debut extremely worth listening to.” – Keep On Rocking Mag
“This is epic Power Metal again, with driving drums and fast guitar solos.” – Metalheads Forever Mag
“The debut album from the epic, Colorado-based power metallers is a true journey from start to finish. From soaring melodies to insane harmonised guitars to the solid drumming and powerful vocals, it’s 44-minutes of grandiose heavy metal through and through! ‘As the Dragon Falls’ (feat. the awesome Fabio Lione) is a huge high point of the album, as is ’Chieftain’ and the epic closing track. It reminds me a lot of Fellowship or even Dragonforce, that epic huge power metal built more for its huge moments and soundscapes. The band are insanely good songwriters, and for this to be a debut album makes it feel like we have some truly special things to come in the next few years! They’re ones to watch, for sure! However, for now, this is an excellent release for anyone into the genre even a little bit!” – Overtone Magazine
“For a debut, ‘Becoming The Dragon’ is a bold and confident statement… undeniably compelling, and a promising sign of greater things to come.” – Metal Rager 666
“Siege Perilous puts all the notes in the right places and has the chops to be a player in the epic power metal arena… and Becoming the Dragon offers a glimpse of this band’s potential.” – The Metal Crypt
“orchestral power metal with a fine story” – FFM-Rock
“All the songs are catchy, well constructed and technically flawless” – Tempiduri
“With ‘Becoming The Dragon’, Siege Perilous proves that they are ready for the bigger stage. For fans of Wind Rose, Hammerfall, Sabaton, Blind Guardian, and Iron Maiden, this is a must. This is power metal with heart, brains, and a sword in hand.” – Musika
“Becoming The Dragon is an ambitious work that combines epic heavy metal with orchestral elements. Siege Perilous show talent in songwriting and variety of arrangements… The mix of powerful vocals, triple guitar riffing and orchestral interjections makes the album interesting for fans of epic metal,” – MetalUnderground.at
““It’s certainly not a lack of ambition, this is a band that clearly sees itself as the natural successors to the true greats of fantasy-based power metal… Guest Fabio Lione… absolutely lays waste to all around him in the role of ‘The Dragon’ on As The Dragon Falls…. They deserve the highest praise for their commitment to the cause if nothing else.” – Sentinel Daily
“The 10 tracks keep you on the edge of your seat and even feature a collaboration with Fabio Lione, who deserves to be praised in every way… An album to enjoy!” – Nada Hay Bajo El Sol
““‘As the Dragon Falls’ is elevated to a completely different level…. The catchy melodies and gripping guitar work are among the highlights of the record…. With the melancholic dark ballad ‘Echoes of Home,’ the band proves their knack for atmospheric arrangements with depth… Kristin Starkey contributes female vocals that give the track a beautifully atmospheric dimension… The gripping, catchy anthem ‘Chieftan’ is another noteworthy and praiseworthy exception.” – Obliveon
