Groove metal band BornBroken is proud announce they will be supporting this year’s third annual benefit show Rock The Cause on December 7th at Le Pionnier with proceeds donated to The Montreal Children’s Hospital. The band will be joined by Melting Point, One Night Stand, Monkey Bones and Your What’s Itchy.
BornBroken guitarist Mike Decker comments:
“BornBroken is always happy and very humbled to play and be able to give back not only to people in need, but to help out sick children who do not or may not have the same opportunities that we were blessed with. We’ve all had hard lives (probably mostly self inflicted), but never ever as hard as these kids have or will have, so when we were given the chance to play the “ROCK THE CAUSE III” show benefiting “The Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation”, we jumped on the chance to dawn on wings instead of horns for a night.
Steve Hart and his family, friends have been amazing in taking time out of their lives to put on benefit shows for different charities. There will also be a non perishable donation box for the local food bank On Rock Community Services that Percy Hart “Your What’s Itchy” is also doing. So please look in your cupboard and grab a can of something you would usually eat and bring it on down for someone who may not get the luxury.
We will also donate a part of all merch sold that night to the cause plus we will be having a reunion with our former vocalist Jesus Anzola Salazar. SEE YA’ll there! This will be the last show for 2013…”
Full event details can be found at the following link here.
This will be drummer Jonathan Menard’s last show with BornBroken as they are currently searching for his replacement to take on upcoming live and recording duties in 2014.
The band is accepting video submission auditions, which can be submitted on their facebook page here. Finalists will be contacted for further auditioning.
BornBroken‘s debut album ‘The Healing Powers of Hate’ was released earlier this June. Those who love hard, heavy, angry metal are in for a treat and may find a new favorite in BornBroken.’.

About:
BornBroken was formed with one simple mission in mind: Help the masses find a voice, a face, an “X” that marks the spot through the sounds of beating skins, metal strings and broken chords.
After months of writing and hours spent in the studio, BornBroken managed to take every emotion they felt, put it to music, build off of past battle scars and create a record where listeners will feel they are part of the storyline.
On their debut album, The Healing Powers of Hate, BornBroken play out not only what life has given them but also what they want to give back: truth, integrity, perseverance, loyalty and faith in humanity’s struggle for equality.
